Cookeville History Museum

An unexpected gem! We love museums and could easily have spent several hours reading and looking at all the memorabilia.

The temporary wedding dress exhibit was quite unexpected.

Very nice local-history museum. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area. Clean setting, and friendly staff.

The Christmas trees this year are a nice touch(didn't know local non-profits put up trees here every year for Christmas), and I'll plan to see the trees next year as well.

We took our granddaughters for Pioneer Day. It was educational yet fun providing an enjoyable experience. Always something new going on there.

So much cool stuff! The standing exhibits and the rotating special exhibits are beautifully put together, fun to investigate and a plethora of information about the local community and its ties to the state and country at large. Worth visiting over and over, there's always more to uncover, and they sponsor some fun recurring events too.

Delightful collection of Cookeville History!

A very nice local history museum that also regularly hosts a variety of temporary exhibits by area organizations. Currently running a large xmas tree exhibit until Dec 29th. Admission is free.

Great little museum about Cookeville, TN. We went on Pioneer Day so there were instructional talks and demonstrations. Staff was very friendly and informative.

This small building holds a large amount of information and artifacts regarding the birth of our city. There are also new exhibits as well, one of which has been a tribute to nurses in our area. It was very interesting and informative. Cookeville is greatly blessed with this museum!!

We learned so much about this sweet town. The lady who greeted us was new and she was so kind and helpful. Made us feel welcomed!

Marvellous display of Cookeville from Indians to now!! Enjoyed by us and my 87 year old Dad who was visiting. We've lived here over 30 years, but this was our first visit. We'll come again!!!

Nice museum! Displays to highlight Cookeville history in Attractive ways. Lots to read but worth it! Nice staff as well that explained layout & basic info.

The museum is a wonderful place to see and experience history. They have wonderful exhibits of Putnam County and they also have a changing exhibit. The people there are very helpful and can answer any questions you may have.

Great museum fantastic time line great pictures your guide was very nice

Alot of interesting history for such a small space. It was nice to wander around at your own pace. Great place for history buffs and its free.

Had lots of cool art. Very small place, the amount of information of history is large.
