Great experience working with Walt and his crew at Trophy Pond! They showed up on time and worked with me to find a good place to launch their boat (no ramp on our lake). Even though it was a challenge, we got it done!
Trophy Pond provided a great report with a lot of different ideas and options to improve the fishery.
I am happy to report that fishing this year has already improved! Thanks Trophy Pond!

I'm not sure how I met Walt, but it was probably on his website. Clearly, this was my lucky day.

Walt stocked copper nose bream in my pond on April 10, 2020 after only being full of water since January. He advised me on all aspects of raising these fish and still does.

I could tell you my bream are doing well, but nothing says it like a photo. November 6, 2021, 4:25 pm CST, I caught this: 1 pound 10 ounce bream from my pond which was stocked, as stated, on April 10, 2020. That's about 18 months.

On April 9, 2021, 4:58 pm, I caught this bream which was not weighed. That is, however, a 5-gallon bucket lid he's lying on.

As for bass, Walt put 200 Florida large mouth bass in the pond on Nov. 9, 2020. They looked like little submarines in their 5-gallon bucket. There were unceremoniously poured into the pond. I asked, "How long before they eat?" The reply was "They already are!". April 8, 2022 produced this bass.

I don't think this growth rate would be possible without the guidance of Walt Foreman.

After interviewing 3 companies in 2016 I hired Trophy Pond Management to begin a 2 phased campaign to maximize the fishing experience on our family farm. First, to help with our existing 2 acre pond which had bluegill and F1 bass. Walt and I fished this pond for the better part of a day and caught several fish. The largest F1 was 1.5 lbs and the largest bluegill was .6 pounds. After 4 years of Trophy Pond Management we have caught bluegill up to 2 lb 14 ozs and F1 bass 10 lbs +. Proof is in the pudding! In Phase 2, Trophy Pond built and is now managing a 9 acre pond which we hope to produce record Florida bass. Professional, Experienced, Knowledgeable, Trophy Pond delivers.

We are.Shawn and Paula Walters of Ten Mile TN. We started working with Walt Foreman five years ago after having built my first pond. Walt was available to me every step of the way. He is quick to return calls and free with his time. Today we have a healthy fishery with painted brim in the 10-12 inch range thanks to Walt's guidance. This included stocking grass shrimp a year before the brim to provide a natural food source. As well as the ratio of brim to bass and other food sources. I highly recommend Trophy Pond Management and Walt if your seeking to start or improve your pond.

Trophy Pond Management is the only pond management company I trust with my pond. The quality of work is impressive, and Trophy Pond is always quick to respond when I have a question. Walt always shows up when he says he will show up, even when he has to make a long drive to be here. I would not hesitate to recommend Trophy Pond Management to anyone who wants to bring out the best in their pond.

I had my pond built and needed it stocked with fish. I looked at several companies that offered fish stocking and after studying each company and reading a lot of reviews I gave Walt a call and he was very helpful and very knowledgeable about ponds and fish and what I needed to do to achieve my goals! He recommended me stocking it with coppernose bluegill first and my bass about 6 months later .He delivered my bluegill when he said he would and they arrived healthy and I was very pleased with them and his service. He recommended a feeding schedule for me to feed them so they would do the best possible and they are doing great and growing very fast. He will be bringing my bass in June after the bluegill have spawned. I would highly recommend Walt and trophy pond management for all of your pond question or fish stocking needs . Highly recommend!

I found Trophy Pond on Google. The best thing I ever did. I mostly fish small streams and rivers. I am a Fly fisherman. Bass fishing is kind new to me. Let alone having a Pond. I don't know a thing about Ponds, how to maintain , stocking or water quality . I am a true believer in hiring the best people for the Job. People who just do One thing and One thing only. I found that one person, and That's Jesse Foreman from Trophy Pond.
Reading the blog on Trophy Ponds website I knew I found the right person for the Job. I called and spoke with Jesse and told him what I had and what I wanted. A few weeks later Jesse shows up to look over the pond and see what he has to work with. Jesse fishes the pond , takes water samples and looks at vegetation . I told Jesse what I wanted and if it was Possible. His answer was Yes. Three weeks later Jesse sent me a 20 page report with his recommendations. I knew I found the Best person for the Job. Jesse has the experience and PHD in wildlife Biology to back him up. He only does pond management and nothing else. That is what you want when looking for someone to manage your pond. Anyone can build a pond , buy some fish. Why hire someone and spend money. When you can hire the right person with the field experience and training to get it done correctly. Jesse from Trophy Pond is exactly that person.

I have nothing but good words for Trophy Pond. We recently built a 3/4 acre pond. I have been involved in agriculture my entire life, but didn’t have a lot of aquaculture experience. Walt has taught me and continues to answer my questions regardless of how many times I have called. He has never not returned my calls. I have been impressed. My painted brim are breaching to feed now and it’s a wonderful site to see! Thanks Trophy Pond!

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how we wanted to stock our new pond. I saw Trophy Pond on google. I called and talked to Walt and explained to him what we wanted to do. He listened and then politely pointed me in another direction. I’m glad we found Trophy Pond and I’m glad I listened to Walt’s advice. I’ve already learned a lot from dealing with them. They always answer any questions I have regarding my pond and are always willing to go above and beyond to help. We’re looking forward to seeing what these Hand Painted Bluegill look like this time next year! Give these guys a call! You want be disappointed!

Trophy Pond has managed our large pond for years. I struggled to find a "pond professional" in the Mid-Tennessee region and was overjoyed when I met Walt about 5 years ago. He handled the stocking of fish, aeration, feeding, and general oversight of our 8 acre pond since then. He is a very honest and well versed professional that knows what it takes to keep our pond's ecosystem functioning at it's peak year round. He is always there to answer a question or address and respond to any concern we've had. I would highly recommend Walt & Trophy Pond to anyone that wants to add a pond or manage an existing one!!

Walt runs a great company. Trophy Pond Management does not simply throw fish in a lake and hope it works. They take a more scientific approach to it to help get the most out of your lake. Whatever your goals are for a lake they can make it happen. They will also maximize the value you get no matter the size of your budget. Very easy company to work with. Everyone on our lake is happy with how well our lake has produced for the last three years.

Had a great experience with Trophy Pond. It was at least 18 months from the start of our first conversation to the fish being released into our pond. Throughout the whole process, Walt was great about answering my questions and helping me get ready for the fish. I highly recommend him.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Walt is very trustworthy, honest and transparent in his approach to his work. I saw that there were some reviews here from people who were never customers of Trophy Pond and felt that was unfair! I've worked with Walt for over a year now and he's always been extremely fair and honest. Highly recommend!

To start I first became aware of Walt and Trophy pond after constructing a 2 acre pond in middle Tn. I googled large bluegill and his website was one of the first to pop up. I was is luck after researching as much as possible about my goal of big bluegill and finding out I was only a short distance from Walt I called him. All I can say is he knows his stuff. Some might say Walt is very opinionated but I researched everything he’s suggested and it is right on and sound advise. Managing a pond right can be a slow process but needs to be done right from the beginning. He has helped me get closer to my goal of large bluegill with his knowledge and fish stocking. I would highly recommend him and his business. Also do some research on P.K. Grass shrimp and give Walt a call he stocked my pond with some of these “tiny over priced shrimp”(so I thought at first) over a year ago and I cannot be happier with the decision as my pond is crawling with them ready to grow huge bluegill.

Walt has done an amazing job with our pond taking it from a hole in the ground with a few small fish to a real trophy pond. Walt is passionate about what he does and it is reflected in his knowledge and expertise in pond management.

Walt has worked with me now four years in building, stocking forage and finally bass and hand painted bluegills. We are the only Arkansas farm with these special fish and they are growing quickly.
