The Parkway Tavern

Parkway Tavern is a feel-good bar in Cary with a sneakily great menu. It’s true what they say about their burger - it’s the best in the area. But I wanted to try out something different this time. So I got a chicken sandwich with a side of pasta in a light pesto blend… hit the spot👌🏼

Bartenders are fantastic and you could also shoot some darts, commandeer the jukebox, sing karaoke and, of course, catch all your local sports games. What’s not to love?

A good place to hang out with fun atmosphere. We have been waiting for it to be open since we saw the sign on Cary Parkway last year. The place doesn’t disappoint us. The location is convenient with plenty of parking spots, the staff are friendly, the food is good and the price is decent — no kid’s menu yet but they offer grilled cheese as seen in the picture. We have been there quite a few times since we live nearby and we’ve always enjoyed everything we’ve ordered. There are two dartboards and a few games available. There is also an ATM. There are TVs for sports and news as well. Recommended.

Local owned tavern. Great place. My first impression walking in was how clean and fresh was the tavern. Multi TVs to watch all with great visibility . Friendly folk speaking to me immediately and making me fell at home. Draft list is good.

WOW. Then comes my Cheeseburger! Knocked me off my chair. House made hamburger! Excellent flavor.

I’m putting this on my list to return often. They have a great menu. I’ll have to try everything.

I recently opened a business in the same building as Parkway and had them cater my grand opening, the food was so good, everyone who attended the even was so impressed by the quailty. Thank you all so much!!! You must try the Pint'o'bacon.

All the way from Philly and stumbled upon a great place that has delicious food, great atmosphere and great staff! I need to kiss the cook as they say😃😄😃

The food is good, the TVs are varied, the servers are impeccable and the kitchen is open late. They dont have any competition in miles, come here first and last.

The service is fantastic and I appreciate pub food, so this does the trick. The staff is very friendly and is spot on with their service. The food is pub fare, but so is most places in the area, except you know this isn't chain restaurant stuff. It's clean, and if you like sports, this is probably the spot for you. I'll be back on my next visit down there for sure.

Absolutely delicious burgers! Love the atmosphere.

My Wife and I visited first time 2/27/2022. The food and service was exceptional.

We started out with the cheese curds. Light airy, very taste and no blow outs. Cook/Chef was spot on. We both had a burger that was equally as good a brisket/burger blend with a brioche bun. Wife had a great side salad loaded with all the goodies she loved, and for my side, I had onion straws.

To finish it all off, we had the most incredible cheese cake I have had (homemade-Susie is the Master Bakery Chef for this master piece) since I was selling Diane's Gourmet Desserts when I was a FoodBroker.

Our Waitress Kaitlyn along with all the other Waitress were great as they tag team all tables together.

Can't wait to try the chicken tenders on our next trip.

My husband & I just tried this place and it’s 10/10, neat, very good! It was so clean. The service was the best I’ve had since we moved here. They were just excellent. The food was exquisite - we enjoyed everything from appetizers to dessert. The cheesecake is on another level, so thick and delicious. Our friends visiting also want to return when they come back to town they loved it so much. We also really loved the hand crafted constellation ceiling.

My husband and I gladly go to Parkway at least once a week, sometimes more. It's a running joke in our family that we don't ever go anywhere else! We love the friendly staff who remember us and our favorite things to order, and the food is always great. We needed a place like this in Cary, and I'm glad we have it!

UPDATE: over one year later and this place is still amazing. I can’t speak for dining in as I always get take out but the place is always busy and the patrons always happy. The customer service is always top notch and friendly and the wings are the best in the triangle as well as the hand cut fries and house made sauces. They’ve updated their menu recently and added some new stuff. Can’t say enough good stuff about this place. Glad it’s nearby. Highly recommended !!!!! Just devoured some wings, try the Alabama white sauce. It’s delicious!

This place is amazing. Consistently amazing. I’m so fortunate to live so close. The staff is always welcoming, the service is fast, and the food is amazing. My regular order are the wings and I have to say they have some of the best wings in the triangle. You can’t go wrong with any of the flavors. I love when they do wing flavors of the week. Also the ranch and blue cheese are amazing. I’ve tried all the side items and they are all awesome but their hand cut fries are divine and they always give great portions. The lunch wraps are good, the burgers are good and being someone who has lived in New York and tried all the cheesecake slices there, I have to say Parkway Tavern might have them beat. This review was actually prompted by how delicious the pumpkin cheesecake is which I’m currently eating. The original cheesecake is also amazing. I once called the number and it was listed wrong and actually was the owner’s number. He was in the grocery store and let me know the number listed was wrong and exhibited great customer service and was super friendly. I hope Parkway Tavern stays around for a long time. I also love the little messages and smiley faces on the to go containers :). Y’all are doing awesome!

Somehow this place serves the best burgers in the entire town! The bun is perfect, the patty is not too massive, and the sauce ratio is great. My only wish is for cheese stuffed jalapeno poppers to come onto the menu, rather than fried slices of japaleno. Either way I'll be back for the food!

Brought some visiting family in last week, our server, Megan, was fantastic. The food came out quick, hot, and so delicious! The drinks were amazing, and the manager, Hailey, stopped by several times to see how we were doing and she was so nice to chat with. We all definitely enjoyed our time there!

Great food and a great staff. The Reuben Egg Rolls are amazing!

In all seriousness we were working in town and when we found this bar we couldn’t stay away. We tried other bars but ultimately ended back at The Parkway Tavern. While it was the owner and bartenders that made the bar, the food and drinks were excellent. I believe we tried everything on the menu and enjoyed it all. If you want to experiment a little bit you have to order a breakfast shot and the cheese curds with Carmel (I know it sounds weird, but it works).

Always warm and welcoming staff and great food! Parkway has become a go-to for us Cary-ites. I would give 6 stars, because the manager saved the day for us last night by digging in the trash for my son's retainer that we forgot on the table --talk about going above and beyond customer service!

This place is the best. Bartenders, managers, food, amazing. Everyone is so caring, and responsive. They remember you when you come in a second time. Food is out of this world, to die for. Bartenders that deserve a shout out, Peyton, Larissa, Megan, Nicolette. The absolute best.

Sometimes there is something special about an eating establishment that transcends the food. The food here is very good - as my two friends and I found. My Turkey Reuben and a Jameson were very good.

BUT - we felt very special - as our server - Sabel - made us feel special. It's hard to describe - but you know it when you feel it. The Ginzo Steak Knives - the manager, Halle, stopped by and added more to that special feeling. Thanks to both of them.

This is kinda a sports bar - but it's more like a Cheers place - like it was when we were there on a Wed nite.

Great local watering hole. Great staff! The Owners are really putting in a lot of effort here and it shows.
