Walnut Street Animal Hospital

This is the best vet in town. The staff is always so thoughtful and caring towards my dog who can be anxious at the vet. Ahmed has been with us during each visit and he always bends over backwards to make sure she is comfortable and happy. I wish I would’ve started brining my dog here since I got her, but am grateful we recently made the switch. Highly recommended.

WSAH literally saved our dog’s life! We’re not regular patients but our pomsky developed a case of pyometra and our vet, emergency, nor two other vets were able to treat her. When I called the first time, Vanessa jumped into action and got Dr. K on the phone to set our girl up for surgery before Dr. K was even at the hospital, and without even knowing our names! Vanessa & Maliah were so sweet with her during check in and when we came to pick her up, Lucy was extremely through with her discharge instructions and setting us up for success to continue her treatment at home. What was quickly becoming a nightmare was over before it really had a chance to start thanks to this wonderful staff. Thank you WSAH for helping our lil Sasha get back to her silly self!

Have been working with Dr. K and his team since they opened n 2014 or so. I have 6 dogs, and they have cared for each of them and the variety of situations ranging from preventative care, to injuries, illnesses, and euthanasia. Top notch care, they are busy because they are very good!

This place is incredible. We had an emergency visit with our cat having an asthma attack. They took him in immediately and put him on oxygen and they were so helpful and kind throughout the process! The vet even helped us get the cost down as we needed some help financially between the oxygen therapy and X-rays. Our boy got to go home the same day and is doing so much better thanks to this hospital. We will definitely be switching our primary pet care to Walnut Street!

Walnut Street Animal Hospital is the best in town. If you are looking for quality care for your pet, this is the place to go. We have been going here for 7 years now. They have always taken care of our two dogs. Suji and Dr. Jay are awesome! Highly recommend.

My neighbors highly recommend I bring my cat here for her spay- I brought her in and it was a wonderful experience! Everyone is friendly and extremely knowledgeable and they instantly eased my nerves!! Miss Diesel is recovering great!

I had my Sweet Reba in there for a second opinion on a growth. The team jumped right on checking her blood work, doing x-rays, and making sure she was comfortable while all this was happening to see if surgery was an option. Today, she had her surgery, and I am so thankful for such a great team that worked on her!! Great communication, very caring staff, and I would recommend this place to everyone!

Woke up on Sunday morning with my cats face very swollen from a feral cat attack. I called a few emergency vets within a hours distance from me to try to get her seen ASAP. Walnut Street Animal Hospital set us up with an appointment/arrival time in a hour and fifteen minutes from when I called. Checked in and my kitty was seen in just a few minutes. All the vet techs and front desk employees were friendly and nice. The vet on duty was knowledgeable and thorough discussing my cats treatment plan. Thank goodness for Walnut Street Animal Hospital. Double thumbs up for the cost-- as it was an emergency and on a Sunday. Was planning to pay double what we were charged. I would definitely return in an emergency situation and recommend them to anyone.

Had to bring my kitty back in for what I assumed was a UTI. Only to find out poor thing has kidney stones, no UTI. We had the same outstanding experience as our last visit. Everyone from the telephone call with receptionist to get her a same day appointment, to everyone at front desk when we arrived, to the vet tech and vet were awesome! Friendly, happy, wanting and willing to help in any way possible! Veterinarian was very thorough, explained everything he was doing/going to do up front, even lead us to the lab/back to show us my kitties x-ray's. Its hard to find GREAT service like this now a days..... Would definitely recommend them ALL for your furbabies!

We took our fur baby in for a vaccine and heartworm test this afternoon. Our technician, Suji, was new to us but she was impressive. Not only was she knowledgeable, but was also very kind and loving with Jaxon and calmed his nerves by cuddling him in her arms. We are so grateful for this very sweet young woman! Maliah is a wonderful receptionist as well!

This place is SO special to me! I have been taking Kemba here since 2018 and couldn’t really imagine taking him anywhere else. Dr. K is such an excellent and honest veterinarian. The staff cares about your pet the same way I think they would care about their own. I always enjoy conversations with Maliah and know both she and Vanessa will help Kemba get the help he needs : ) Very honest vet office and always willing to go the extra mile! Also the technicians like Kiara are extremely gentle and caring with Kemba. These folks are like animal magicians I swear Kemba always leaves there calm. Like Dr. Kolli told me…. I think it is because Kemba knows they are their to help him. I LOVE these folks like my family - thank you so much for all your love and care for Kemba 🫶🧡😻😼🙀😽💙🫶

We took our cat for a checkup and had the best experience. We were reassured we were in good hands through our anxiety. Doctor Montell and Denise were amazing, professional, and patient. We definitely recommend and will be going back.

Always a pleasant experience at this vet. Came in with my malinois, who is sweet, but required by the VA to be muzzled at the vet. Vet tech was very patient and understanding. Was a pleasant experience for myself and not entirely unpleasant for the pup, despite his infection and her needing to shave down his neck. Would 10/10 recommend Kaylie Patrick for any person who has concerns with empathetic and skilled vet assistants!

I can't praise Brittany at Walnut Street Animal Hospital enough for the exceptional care she provided during Myster's neutering surgery. Dr Hopson and Dr K are my favorite vets.

I love all the techs, but Denise stood out the other day. One of my dogs (the one that can't lie down) is high-strung and no one besides me is usually able to calm him down, particularly when there are loud sounds or his legs or feet are touched. But despite everyone being under a bit of stress due to a long appointment (another dog patient was having trouble), and needing to be manipulated heavily to check his legs for dysplasia, she was able to calm him down with her demeanor and an ear rub. Thanks Denise!

Dr. Montell and Denise were so great with my fur baby! Great recommendations. I didn’t feel rushed and really appreciate the thorough examination. My dog was completely happy and excited all while getting vaccines! Awesome experience. 🐶 ❤

Suji and Dr. RK were helping me the day I brought in my cat who seemed to have a lot of unanswered concerns. They were attentive and helpful the entire time. I felt like my cat was the number one priority and I felt like all my cats needs were met and all the concerns were addressed. Thank you so much for being my cats care takers. I really appreciate everyone at Walnut Animal Hospital for always offering the best care for my pets. I'm really grateful to have them as all my pets veterinarians.

Great visit today for our granddog Tucker. Rilei was great with our sweet Tucker! You can tell she loves her job. Highly recommend Walnut St. Animal Hospital in Cary. They have been taking such great care of Tucker for the last 6+ years, only Veterinary practice he has ever known! 🐾

I am not one to leave reviews very often, but I wanted to give a shout out to Walnut Street Animal Hospital (WSAH)! Our two dogs and 2 cats have been patients there for nearly two years and our experience has been nothing but positive. From the front office to the vet techs to the doctors! I’ve even been able to call and speak directly to Dr. K when I’ve had a concern that I wasn’t sure how to handle. A couple things that set WSAH apart from their competition is their extended weekday hours and weekend hours. And Wellness Plans they offer. This truly makes providing our fur babies with excellent medical care affordable! For this reason I am willing to drive quite a distance to bring my fur babies here! A special shout out to Mary Clarke, Veterinarian Technician! She is always cheerful, polite, friendly, knowledgeable, answers all my questions and most of all is super kind and patient with our pups who are shy and can really play up the “poor me” act when they go to the vet! Lol! Thank you!

So far so good. We took our mastiff Buster to the Capital Blvd location, they diagnosed him with kidney failure. We thought we were goi g to have to euthanize him, but they then sent us to the Walnut location in cary, where they kept him and treated him. So far, bister is back about 70%. We are going back Monday for some follow-up tests. Also the staff wass pretty amazing and attentive to buster. We'll give reports as we go. :)
