PetSound Animal Hospital

Recently my German Shepherd, Maverick, had an x-ray done at another vet and it appeared his prostate may have been enlarged. I panicked and immediately thought it was something really bad. Pet Sound was able to get my boy in quickly for an ultrasound and the appointment took no time. Dr. Stewart-Soule was wonderful and gave us peace of mind that our boy was okay and it might have just been a bad x-ray. She is also a fellow NC State graduate, so I know she came from a great school. Go Pack!!!

Unfortunately our sweet boy Cedric just crossed the rainbow bridge on January 22nd, 2022. He was a joy to us for almost 11 years and my soul dog. We were customers at Pet Sound for 10 years. Dr. Monce and all the other associates at Pet Sound were great to us the entire time. Great care and customer service. I also feel that their prices were substantially lower than other veterinary clinics. Dr. Monce saved us lots of money over the years and doesn't push unecessary procedures or try to drain your bank account. I can't recommend them enough. Definitely give them a try if you haven't!

Friendly staff and Super Knowledgeable and overall nice veterinarian, Dr Monce. They are taking great care of our puppy Mochi, she loves going to the Vet, perhaps it’s the special treat she sometimes gets🤣

Fantastic experience very well experienced in tendon tears with dogs we just had a surgery done on our 9-year-old border Collie mix they did a wonderful job he's going to be back up and running in about 6 weeks they presented a much smarter solution versus plates and they were much more price friendly than others in the area

What an awesome facility! I admit I’m super picky on where I take my fur family but this place put me at ease right away! They are so kind from the front staff to the techs! The Docs are AMAZING, honest and truly want to see your pet at its best! Not to mention it’s a super clean and I love the new lobby look.

We started going to Petsound Animal Hospital a year ago when one of our dogs was diagnosed with lymphoma and couldn't find a specialist. Petsound got us in two days later, started treatments, and got her into remission.
The staff, vets, and techs are knowledgeable, efficient, and genuinely care. The vets are great and not out to overcharge, only to provide good medicine and treatment.
The practice itself is clean, and recent updates to the furniture in the lobby look great. The switch to materials that don't collect dander are great for people like me with allergies!
While I hope to only go to the vet for checkups, it's good to know Petsound is there for us.

Best veterinarian I could have found. Very genuine in informing you of all options and what is necessary for your pet. They do not try to pressure you into spending money for tests and procedures that are not detrimental for your pet. They will also be honest in whether expensive treatments will actually be successful in providing a longer and positive quality of life, or whether it is better to enjoy the time that you have left with your loved one and let them go when it is time. I've also heard in reviews that this clinic is willing to set up payment plans for expensive treatment that is worth pursuing...which is very rare--usually they will coax you into a CareCredit card. I highly recommend. Very friendly staff as well.

Truly one of the best vet experiences I've ever had! The care, love, and compassion they showed my sweet boy Loki during his osteosarcoma cancer treatments was really incredible - Dr. Stewart and the staff are amazing! They also are the only Animal Hospital in the country to offer a revolutionary cancer procedure called cementoplasty. This replaces amputation for some pets, saving their leg (in some cases their lives) and has a much more minimized recovery process. I can't say enough good things about Petsound AH...

hands down one of the best vets in the area. They have fair pricing and do a great job talking to you telling you what options you have and are good at explaining the logic and science behind all treatments.

They also do a great job when the unfortunate time comes that you need to say goodbye to your best friend. They have a very calming, comfortable room for your dog to relax and in their last moments and the staff do the best job possible in those circumstances.

I love both the doctors at Petsound Animal Hospital. Dr. Stewart always goes the extra mile for both of my animals and I always know they have the best care. Dr. Monce is also incredibly innovative with his surgical skills and has always found new ways to fix issues my pets have had. Petsound is the place to go for the best care.

Petsound is amazing. Dr. Shaina Stewart is so thorough! She doesn’t stop until she finds the answer. Dr. Kevin Monce is an incredible surgeon and internist. I have always trusted both of them with my animals.

We love this veterinary clinic. Dr. Monce is the veterinarian you always hope you will find to take your pets to, but rarely come across. He gives you advice on care for your pet as if it was his own and takes the time to talk with you about your pets care. Rather than push any specific treatments he gives you options on sound advice and what would make financial best sense. Thanks for great care of our four legged companions.

I rarely post online reviews, but I couldn’t pass on this one. In our phones Shaina is listed with the title Super Surgeon and she is very deserving of this title! We knew for months something was wrong with our pit/chow mix, but he fights the vets and other vets never took the time to sedate him so they could give him a thorough examination. Shaina did! She found a very large and cancerous tumor at the back of his tongue; it wasn’t easily seen because of his black tongue. It was removed the following week and our boy is thriving again! She has been right there with us the whole way… honestly, checking in on him daily, giving us pointers on how to reintroduce food, extra hydration, everything. When she was out of town we took him in for what turned out to be an infection and Dr Monce was also great with him. The whole staff is super nice and you can tell they’re devoted to animals. He’s six weeks post op now, we haven’t used the feeding tube since day 6, it was removed after 3 weeks, he’s healed very well and has adapted easily to a life with a tongue nub. This team is very professional and really cares about your pets!

Office staff has always been extremely kind, caring and professional. They adore the animals that come in (even when they bark constantly like mine did on the last visit). Dr. Monce is more knowledgeable than any other vet we've tried, and has no problem having high-level chats with you about all the options available for your fur-child. You can tell he absolutely loves his job. He performed complicated knee surgery on our pup and the healing went super smoothly. We won't go anywhere else from here on out.

Dr. Monce is simply outstanding. Compassionate and totally competent. We've been going there for almost ten years and have no complaints. We've had emergencies during normal office hours where I've thrown the dog into the car and called on our way and there has never been any question about taking us in. He's referred us to the vet school and to a local orthopedic vet when it was necessary without hesitation. His office staff and technicians are wonderful and most of them have been with him for years. I think that says a lot about him as a vet and as a person.

Dr. Monce took his time to tell me all about our cat first check-up after we adopted her. I didn't feel rush at any time and he answered all my questions. All phone calls were very professional and kind, everyone was very nice!

PetSound has been our vet even before we owned our rescue pup. The rescue group used PetSound for all the baby puppies and now our sweetheart is 13 years old and still seeing this loving group. They have been wonderful with info and advice as our aging dog starts to face the beginning of heart failure. I truly have nothing negative to say and would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

Best vet I have been too! They were very loving and truly want what is best for your furbabies! The did a full work up on both my dogs and I have never seen my dogs take so well to being examination, it's normally always a fight especially with my old man. They really know what they are doing! My little one ended up having a bad reaction to one of her shots we brought her back in in a complete panic and they calming took her got her fluids and steroids to stop the reaction and monitored her for a couple of hours and then the VET herself not the receptionist or a tech the vet called to check in on us.

If I could give this place 10 Stars I would. I live an hour away with no traffic. I have shared my story earlier but I couldn’t figure out how to do the star rating. My Rottweiler had an abscess that became resistant to the antibiotics she’d been on and off for over 8 months. Her face became extremely blown up as to where you could not see her eye. I sent pictures to Pet Sound ( they had never seen any of my pets) they had me bring her in and did surgery that night. They took out over 200 ML of Infection. Five days later over the weekend the tissue started dying on her face. I took her back and after a second surgery and many stitches and 45 days of the proper antibiotics. My girl looks like her beautiful self and only has a few hairs left to grow in. I wish I lived closer. But I will not hesitate to bring any of my dogs to them again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I feel they saved my dogs life. For as bad as she looked she looks amazing!
