The dreamiest trail ride! My husband and I had a fantastic time on our ride, it was approximately 2 hours total - first through the beautiful woods and then on the beach. Our trail guides were phenomenal! We signed up for the 5pm ride, so we started to catch golden hour while on the beach and it was so beautiful. I had always wanted to ride horses on the beach and this experience was just plain wonderful. It was the highlight of my honeymoon for sure!

Had a great time. The trails are beautiful and the beach time was awesome! This was a bucket list item for me and it was such a cool experience. The trail guides were super awesome and did a great job navigating everyone safely through their experience. We got to see a lot of different types of birds and even a water snake for those of us up front. The horses seemed well cared for and appeared to be paired well for the different skill levels in our group. The only downside of the experience was I that I forgot my bug spray… since the last half of the trail in the woods is owned by the state and is not sprayed for bugs due to the state not allowing it there were a ton of mosquitos and biting flies. So bring your bug spray and prepare to have a great time.

I had an amazing ride!!! Great staff/guides the horses were very well trained and responsive to commands. The beach ride was the best part especially being able to open up Bonnie in full stride!!! I hadn’t done that since I was a kid!!! Also the price is worth every penny!!! Definitely gonna come back again!!! Thanks so much for an unforgettable bucket list experience!!!

We took the morning ride and it was beautiful! We had 2 adults, 2 teen boys (who had never ridden) and our daughter who is 10 with minimal riding experience. We were paired with amazing horses and everyone loved their ride! I did learn the next day that riding uses a few muscles I had not used in a while!

This horseback ride takes you through some trails to the beach and back again. It was very enjoyable and peaceful. We took the early morning trip which was nice and cool. The staff here is very knowledgeable and made the trip a fun experience.

We loved the horseback riding , I had no experience at all and it was easy to ride the horses since the are very well trained, they already know what to do, and they all follow , there is an area near the beach where you can gallop and it feels like the horses are waiting for that moment, it was great. The trail to get to the beach it's long we all go in a single line, you go through trees, mud, water, ups and downs, it's really nice, the girls who guide you are really nice and are always ready to help you with anything.

Great experience!! Our guides were awesome and the trail ride was the best! Martin was a great horse, a very gentle giant! We will be coming back again and highly recommend to anyone visiting the island!

Highly recommend! Hope to do this again during warmer weather too. My boyfriend & I decided to do this for our anniversary & it was so peaceful. We were the only ones doing the ride for 9am & walking through the woods was so calming & once we got to the beach it was gorgeous. All the girls were super nice & very helpful. Only regret is I didn’t take more pictures along the way! Make this a must do for your vacation 😊

My daughter joined the costal beach ride. She has been riding horses her whole life and was very picky on what place to pick ( she wanted to make sure horses were well taken care of etc). We decided to pick equine adventures and did not regret! My daughter had a lot of fun cantering on the beach and going on the trail ride in the forest, she told me that her horse and the others looked active, happy, where not lazy and didn’t look or act like they where overworked . The guide also took some nice pictures. The place itself looked taken care of and there was reserved parking for the guests. Even thought my daughter was used to dressage/english saddles, she told me that the western saddles they provided where super comfy. The horses looked happy and well feed. Overall my daughter was super happy and had a very fun experience. Would totally recommend!

Came back this year and persuaded two friends to join me. Once again the ride did not disappoint and our guides, Alex and Kayla were super friendly and helpful before, during and after the ride. This time I was on Dudley who was happy to trot and canter along the beach. A great experience going through coastal woodland, dunes, and then the beach itself. Keep your eyes out for deer along the way and put your baseball cap on backwards before you go any faster than a trot. I lost mine at ramp 48!

Best trail ride ever. Riley and Somer (sp?) were great guides...funny and knowledgeable about the horses and the landscape. The ride over the dunes onto the beach was incredible. Although it took a bit to get Miss B to trot, we did manage a few times. Thanks for an amazing ride.

We booked a 7am ride on July. The girls doing the tour were extremely friendly. We rode Jet and Leroy, both horses were wonderful. The trail ride starts through the woods for about 30 minutes or so and then you get to the beach. We had a great time and would definitely come back again.

Me and my friend came here looking to accomplish one of our dreams. Absolutely amazing experience, for being an experienced rider I got Hattie and she was a dream, such a good girl and she knows how to run. The guides were all super helpful and all so fun and sweet. I recommend going here Everytime if you'd love a great beach ride wether never ridden a horse or have your own at home. All the horses we so well behaved and brave

Absolutely the best part of my time in OBX. Horses were well cared for , guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Once on the beach they split us up so those of us that wanted to kick it up a notch could and those that weren’t ready or wanting to canter could take a leisurely walk.
I’ll be in OBX til August and am already booking my 2nd ride.

An absolutely beautiful trail ride! Would highly recommend! Loved this adventure so much!! Our trail guide, Danny, was so warm & friendly making our ride so much fun, relaxing and carefree. We ended up doing a second ride a couple days later. Would def do again! ❤

By far one of our best Adventures! My Granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Instructors were extremely knowledgeable and nice. The horses were Very laidback and sweet.The ride started promptly at 7am with a 45 minute ride through the forest trail to the Beach. We were able to have some freedom once we got there to venture off and Trot/Canter a bit. Would definitely return to visit Lola, Jinny and the others!🥰🐴

This was the best, most thrilling horse experience of my life! I own a horse in IN, and I've still never ridden a horse like this. If you want to go fast on the beach, make sure to request Guinnes! He is safe and predictable, but man, does he take off like a shot the moment she says you can go. I've never been on a horse going that fast before, but I felt steady and centered and like I was flying. The horses love the beach water. It was so relaxing to stare out into the ocean while the waves lap their legs to cool them. It's a 45 minute ride through the woods, which is nice. If you're deciding between the morning and afternoon ride, I'd recommend going for the early morning ride. It was breezy and cool and so comfortable. Less bugs too! Our guide was amazing. Be sure to ask her about her time working at Dolly's Stampede show in TN. It's so interesting to hear about! What a great time! If I'm ever in the area again, I am definitely doing another ride with Equine Adventures.

My son and I did a last minute booking for horseback riding on Memorial Day morning. Was absolutely satisfied with guides, trail, and length of the experience. The girls were very friendly and made sure that we accommodated all rider types, answered questions, and knew the horses very well to match them with each of us. It was definitely a great time and one my son has requested that we do every time we are down visiting Hatteras now! Thank you 😊

Excellent! The horses were beautiful and healthy. The horses were the best behaved and most responsive to commands that I’ve ever ridden. Very friendly and fun guides. The beach was BEAUTIFUL and quiet. And I loved that we were able to run the horses a little on the beach. The guide took great photos while we were on the beach. Thank you!

I was just there this past Monday 05/27/2024 as first time rider along with my partner we enjoyed the experience all the staff were so welcoming and patient the made us feel safe and comfortable along with horses Calvin & Hedge-rick they did such a wonderful job to keep our ride smooth :) and I can’t forget the views were amazing going thru trails in the woods and riding thru the beach
