Cool place to stop if you're in the area for the lighthouse. Good photo op, fun for kids. Make sure you check out Bros Sandwich Shop or Kat's Deli for lunch while you're in the area.

This thing is from out of this word. I stop by this thing everything I pass through there. I wish I could meet the owner and maybe go in one day. It has a few parking post in front. It has been creatively decorated over the years and has turn into pretty much an organic art environment. Plenty of open space for stickers

Worth a stop on your way to or from somewhere on Hatteras Island if you’re into Atlas Obscura stuff or have little kids. The five year old was CAPTIVATED.

Best alien ship I've ever experienced. Our dog was unusually quiet during our visit. Later, at the beach, we all discovered bug bites in the same place on our body... weirdo. Now, two weeks later, I've noted my mullet growing stronger.

Place is awesome, I know the Alien personally, the number Google shows is not his. I updated the info on here so people can make appointments with the Alien. Oh and by the way, the space ship did not land in the junk yard, it is next door to it. He told me it's an eye sore and would Lazer beam it all away.

My owdest, Awicia-wynn-taywor 43 yo, towd him that they twavewed hewe in the futuwo house. gweat stuff!!! I wish I could give it six staws!!!

The futura house is now iconic to the OBX for me. I stumbled by it 4yrs ago, didn't know what I was looking at. Now I specifically drove looking for it and viola! Still there. I hope it remains there for many years to come. What a cool roadside oddity. Exactly what every good road trip should have

If you are in touch with being a starseed, then you would really get a kick out of this location. I made my nieces and nephew enjoy the Area51 of the Outter Banks.

Great roadside attraction! Talked to the owner for a bit and got the whole story, definitely stop if you like fun, quick, free road side diversions.

Geocaching brought me here. This place was awesome!

It's a free tourist attraction to stop by and get a few pictures. It's a five minute stop so you can make all the extra terrestrial jokes you can. Photo ops are fun. What's not to like when you paid nothing to see it?

Very cool 😎 little place to poke around and explore. No one else was around when I stopped. I enjoyed seeing all of the neat treasures and decor that surrounded and adorned this neat property. It was decorated for Christmas at the time which was fun so I look forward to seeing it again when I'm down there during summer.

Cool roadside attraction, I had never seen these houses before.

With only 100 or so of these futuristic bungalows ever made, and many destroyed, this is truly an amazing thing to see sitting on the side of the road. Certainly worth stopping by to see it. These were intended to be easy to assemble pre-fab units for use as ski cabins, etc.

If don't have any intention on visiting Nags Head it is a long ride to go see it but it's cute.

We stop by every year! We have pictures from when my husband and I were just dating and we just took our 14 month old daughter's second visit pic. The decor is always changing. Just stop by for a quick snap, it'll make you smile! We hope to continue this each year with her as she grows 💖
