Was referred to this office by my primary care doctor. Had appointment June 12th with Dr. O(great bedside manners).Filled out all of my paperwork, ESPECIALLY THE MEDICAL HISTORY thoroughly! I have a history of heart disease (heart failure to be exact). Had been coughing since that November. The cough progressively worsened. Tested positive for pertussis and asthma (I was 42 years old)at this office. Was called the next day with my results, the prescription wasn’t called in until the following Monday.. for the pertussis. Also, I was prescribed two inhalers. One contained a steroid . One of the side-effects...rapid heartbeat! I asked the doctor if I’d be ok taking this, knowing I have a history of heart failure and a defibrillator! He said, “yes, your heart rate shouldn’t get up that high!” Negative, my health REALLY began to decline. I started feeling horrible. Called the office over the weekend, spoke with another doctor on call(after 3 attempts). Explained my symptoms, gave a list of my medications, only to be told, “you’re on the right medicine, if you think you need to go to the emergency room do so, you have to give the medicine time to work!” End of the conversation! That was on the 22nd of June 2018. On June 24th I ended up at Mary Black Hospital, admitted for 1week(spent two days in ICU, heart rate got up to 152bpm) , diagnosed with Acute Congestive Heart Failure!! So, I said that to say this.. please do your homework when it comes to your health. I personally would not recommend this doctor nor this office. I gave them my medical history, it was obviously ignored and now I’m on 5 different medications (had been off since 2012) due to negligence to READ, PULL RECORDS AND COMMUNICATE WITH MY LISTED DOCTORS ie; cardiologist and family doctor. I have an entire new team of doctors and I’m taking it one day at a time while trying to get back to normal!! #Blessed to still be here!!
