Swell Art : Gallery + Gifts

I could spend hours in April's amazing gallery/shop. It is a must see every time we visit the OuterBanks. There are beautiful and unique pieces of art and gifts--- some from local artists. My husband and I also love the music playing in the store. Ask for a card with the playlist! I love shopping for gifts here and April kindly offered to place the bracelets in gift boxes. I can't wait to visit next year to see what's new!

First time visiting this store and I am in love and I would come here every day if I could, because of the local artist art and of course the shop cat Honey Bun!!! So adorable and such a well behaved cat. The selections they had were varied so it was pretty easy to find something I wanted and find something to gift. Great selection and great atmosphere. Very friendly and comfortable environment!!! I highly recommend visiting and taking a look around!

Such a unique little store. Deceiving from the outside being so small but is full of wonderful unique items you won’t find any else. If you find yourself in Buxton, definitely check this place out.

This place is so darn cute! The array of items is so unique, and you’re bound to find something there for everyone. The owner was not only incredibly friendly, but she gave us a sick Spotify playlist with her card on it. On top of that, Honeybun, the resident cat is so sweet.

This place has some really cool pieces. We loved the consignment pieces by local artists. We also really enjoyed petting the resident cat, Honeybun.

This is still a great place to find fun and even useful items. Bought some new fabric covered hair clips (loved the ones I bought last year… needed more shapes and colors!) And have a new rag rug in great colors, some pin on buttons, and some cute small bowls for fun food spices prep. This is the second year we found April at the new location (front part of Swell Motel in Buxton on right side when heading South on 12– yellow building can’t miss it!). I forgot all my watercolor and acrylic art supplies this trip. I’ll have to come back and buy some so I can indulge in some art while down here for two weeks! She has a nice selection of supplies and kits and how to books. Just enough to make you a new budding artist! Thank you April!

This is the best place for gifts and art in Frisco! They also have a shop cat, Honey Bun! Really unique pieces from local artists.

Amazing little art studio. It's a must visit if you are looking for art made by locals. My kids love the cat who hangs out inside.

This has to be the coolest store I’ve been in! The owner is awesome, the cat is adorable and the collection of things they have is outstanding! I wish we lived closer. But while on vacation we visited, everything was reasonably priced and everything was special to the point you couldn’t find it back at home!

They have such an amazing selection of artwork. We all stopped when we were they were on vacation. There are so many art galleries around but swell art really stood out. The people were very nice and I will definitely go back there next time I am in the outer banks

We didn’t buy anything. BUT this little shop was one of our favorite on our outer banks trip. Highly recommend stopping in! Has the most unique and fun stuff. The shop owner seemed so sweet too!

Such a fun friendly place. I always find the best gifts for friends and myself here. Beautiful colorful art, Hatteras Island gifts, amazing jewelry. It’s a great place to spend some time.

Local attraction with so much, literally every square inch is packed full of exciting finds, treasures, and art. The art seemed mostly local and local inspired very theme appropriate to the Outerbanks.

Located on 12 just a stones throw from the Hatteras Light entrance. Cute shop with lots of unique items! Owner is awesome. Don’t let the cats out! 😉

No better shopping experience than being able to buy snarky post its, funny wrong lyric coasters and jewelry, all while hanging out with the owner's cats. Id live here 10/10
