Funky and fun with 100% cleanliness rating, offering tasty grilled sandwiches and fast, friendly service (the fast part was great! We were so hungry).The restroom was to the left side of the building from the front door and was clean, too. We will def return to Kat’s when in Hatteras again.

If you’re looking for quality and flavor - this is the place. There is nothing I crave more after a morning on the beach than a Kat’s Deli sandwich / wrap! Our go-tos are the Virginian and Sweet Home Avocado. I look forward to them all year long! We have already had Kat’s Deli twice this trip and plan to go more while we’re here. I recommend getting both and splitting it with someone.

Sandwiches are always big and delicious and we love the creative names!! I like to build my own with their fresh bagels, and ingredients are always fresh and perfect. Hubby tried the special meatball sandwich today and loved it -- the ciabatta it came on was really great! Tried the crab corn chowder today and it was really really tasty .. with just the right amount of kick.

We just caught it out of the side of are eyes and turned around and parked. Had the club sandwich and it was to die for , huge , fresh toasted bread . . Fresh green lettuce and tomato .my friend Steve had the Italian. Again he and I decided to give a review which I rarely do . Small business and locally owned . Highly recommend 😃

When I say these sandwiches are delicious it’s a total understatement. The wait might be a little long, but it’s definitely worth it. I highly recommend coming and trying a sandwich.

Stopped and had lunch at Kat's Deli and was definitely glad we did. I got the Sweet Home Avocado wrap which was excellent to the last bite. The wrap was seared well on the outside and the inside of the wrap was stuffed with tender tasty chicken melted cheese, and avocado. It was very very good. They were busy but kept everything moving seamlessly. The staff was very kind and helpful. It was very clean inside and out. Plenty of outdoor seating. There is nowhere to eat inside. Plenty of parking available. There was a funny hen walking around. She was very docile and would eat any scraps you have. Keep the great food coming. I look forward to going back again.

Just a "shot in the dark". In a small shopping center. We pulled in.
We were looking for food...and the opportunity arose. Kat's Deli is a "call ahead and order" or "show up, place your order and find a table outside in the beautiful sunshine"...or "under the large welcoming porch" kind of place. Made to order sandwiches with fun names. Chicken salad. Meatball sandwiches. Hummus. BLTs. And an entire chalkboard of wonderful sounding foods. Waters, teas, sodas, beers, IPAs...lots of choices in bottled drinks. Just the place for good food on a sunny day in December.
Oh...and take time to smell the candles! The "Root Beer" candle scent is GREAT!

Very kind and friendly staff. Answered all of our food allergy questions and were efficient with making our meals, too. So glad we stopped there. Highly recommend.

It was wonderful to find an off-season breakfast sandwich that didn’t require a drive into Frisco, Buxton, or Avon. All of the eggs and meats were plentiful, fresh, and cooked to order, and the bagel was toasted on the outside and soft on the inside. We’ll definitely be back soon!

We went here for lunch with our family. It was fantastic. The food was delicious, and the people were so nice and helpful. Absolutely will be returning again.

Great lunch spot located in Hatteras Village just as you enter the community. There’s ample indoor seating but why not sit out on the porch when the weather is nice and get some fresh air. The variety of sandwiches available was great and the one I got was excellent.

SO GOOD. So good. The bread for the paninis was perfect: perfectly toasted, perfectly crunchy, perfect bread-to-filling ratio. I had the Caprese panini and my husband had the Virginian. Excellent tomatoes. Kat has very creatively given her specials pun names in the style of Bob's Burgers and they do not dissapoint!!! And since it is next to the Happy Belly, we went over there for dessert.

Fast, friendly service and fantastic delivery food! All of the sandwiches have unique names which my husband loves. My favorite is the Onion-tended Consequences! They always come up with the best specials as well!

Wow! Fabulously surprised by this hidden gem of a restaurant. Fresh and tasty items coupled with a great atmosphere and wonderful staff. A surprising vacation favorite!

Best sandwich shop I've eaten at in a while. I'm not sure why other people have said it's overpriced, I found the prices to be reasonable ($7 to $10 depending). I had the Italian and the Cordon Bleu. My wife and I consider ourselves afficianados of the Italian sub, and this one comes in 2nd (to Anna's in Gloucester, Va). It is a fantastic sandwich and the banana peppers add a layer of flavor that really works with it. I do recommend adding bacon to whatever you order, it is only $1.50 and they are generous, and it's that delicious crispy BLT style of bacon. Definitely glad we came here and will stop by again if we're ever back in the area.

Amazing lunch at this great Hatteras hangout looking out over the dunes. The special “red focaccia” was amazing! Where did this focaccia come from!?!?

Very good! Fresh bread, tasty options, made to order. The Pesto tasted homemade and really made the "Virginian" sandwich excellent! Would highly recommend Kat's for lunch.
