My wife an I have been to the area before , we decided a weekend getaway would be great . This establishment is clean and affordable with all basics . We rented cabin #5 , management was very polite and location was perfect. Restaurants near by were great . I recommend Elkton Goidfellas and Old 33 Pub an Burgers , also visit Valley Pantry an Deli we love supporting small business. We will stay again. We had a great weekend of fun an laughs.

I picked this motel just for location -- it's the perfect base camp for SNP -- but it turned out to be a rather great motel. Lobby with clever fake fireplace, armchairs, tv, wood panelling, & landline for guests to use. (Cellular coverage is spotty in that whole area due to mountains. There are also landlines in the rooms, and the wifi works well enough to stream Netflix.) The lobby is staffed and sells packaged snacks until 9 pm, and is open all night with coffee. I booked Room 12, the least attractive of the cheaper rooms in photos. But it turned out to be a pleasant-looking, harmonious space where I would have been happy to spend more time. Impressive mini-fridge (midi-fridge?) with separate freezer door. Hot water and water pressure both great. The staff are friendly and like to solve problems -- the sort of people who will think about your problem even in your absence, and then track you down to suggest a solution.

This was a nice little motel that I stumped upon after my camping trip turned a little sour and WOW is their customer service five start! Everyone I encountered (with exception of a crotchety old man who was mad I walked my cat close to his dog...that wasn't outside or at all nearby) was very friendly, accommodating and quite helpful. The rooms were very clean with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee in both the room and the front office. Smells like a bunch of cats used to live there, but I didn't actually see any (unfortunately) so they might have gotten them all out recently. The beds are a little hard for me, but was given some extra pillows to help out my slumber. Old fashioned bed spreads, still and not a lot of hot water (don't let the wife shower first in the chalets!), but not a huge deal, although I'd have rather seen the new way for hotels doing bed spreads. These were definitely a bit archaic. Not much in the area for food, so you do have to drive a bit for a snack. They do have a pet fee, but it's a one time cleaning fee so I feel that is fair! Very reasonable price and I'd go back for sure!

Stopped for one night on the way to our rental cabin (only 20 min away). Wish we could have stayed longer. Great location, employees were friendly & helpful. We picked room #11 with back porch & kitchen. Had everything we could have wanted, clean, cozy & comfortable at a fair price. Yes it's an older place so everythings not perfect but I prefer that to fancy modern. Loved the character of it & obvious care put into it. Parked right at our door so no hauling luggage up stairs. Beautiful hanging baskets of Mums. Will definitely stay there again if ever in the area.

Great little spot if your looking for something close to the Shenandoah NF. We were on a motorcycle trip and Karen took good care of us. Nothing fancy here, but the rooms were clean and Karen was very helpful! That gets you 5 stars in my book.

This place is AMAZING! We stayed in a cabin one night and it was clean, plenty of space and it was so cute. It rained one night when we were camping, so we decided to come down off the mountains and stay here again we loved it so much. We stayed in a regular room that time and it was also spacious and very clean and comfortable. The staff was great every time I called to talk to them! Super helpful and friendly. I even called after I left because I forgot my travel pillow in the room and they mailed it back to me, on their dime. They are located in a great spot just before the Elkton entrance of Shenandoah National Park. 100% recommend!

We had a wonderful experience staying at this location. They have little individual rooms/cabins. Super clean. Very reasonable price. All staff we spoke with was very pleasant and helpful. They are located within a couple miles off the Skyline Drive. I am a Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn guy. Usually don't even look at places like this. We were on a motorcycle trip and a friend handled the rooms. He made a great choice. My wife and I both loved staying here. Do not hesitate to call and book a room. Very clean and quiet place to stay.

Thank you from the couple in cabin 2. We stayed 7/23 overnight and left 7/24

I was very appreciative of the big pet-friendly suite that we got on very short notice. Very accommodating. Our dogs loved the space in the huge areas and many couches/beds. Full kitchen was great too. Nice to have the big lawn area in the back to walk them around. Only real negative issue was that we could hear the road noise at almost any time of day - but it's right next to the road so that's to be expected. The AC mostly drowned it out. No big deal.

I'd stay here again.

This cute place was the best place we stayed during our vacation. We had cabin #5. Room was very clean and had 2 queens. Enough space for 2. Furniture were older but we liked that charme. The young ladies at the front desk were really nice and helpfull. Motel is close to National Park and 4 miles out of Elkton. Owners take care of their property. A true old style motel, not a boring chain motel. Would stay there again.

This well-maintained historic roadside motel is a true gem. It is very near Skyline Drive in Shannendoah National Park. In fact, we had originally planned to camp in the park, but the weather was so hot, we decided to find a hotel/motel. We were lucky enough to stumble upon Country View! The owners are very friendly and service oriented. Our cabin was very clean and pet-friendly. We highly recommend this motel!

Got a little cabin here - This place is great! SUPER convenient to Shenandoah National Park.
Room had comfy beds, fan, air conditioner.
Cabins are slightly separated from the ones around them. Price was good.
Would stay again

My wife loved to stay here. I liked it but I will be honest, that they need to provide more pillows, let people know that the beds mattress makes weird noises when you lay down or change positions during the night. Our room was perfectly located, but because we stayed only one night, I think it was not enough to really enjoy all the surroundings as one should. We would definetly come back.

We stayed in cabin #5, it was well updated, private, and relatively clean with solid wifi and premium cable! The women minding the office were sweet and they have coffee available as well as frozen microwaveable foods and ice cream available for purchase at the office.

The rates are a fantastic deal for your proximity to Shenandoah.

Absolutely loved my stay, wish I had more time to stay longer. We were gonna be late getting there past office hours they Accommodated us very well. The rooms were clean and beautiful, had everything you need refrigerator, microwave, the recliner was extremely comfortable. We woke up late right at check out time so we asked if we could have an extra 15 mins to get our stuff together and they were extremely helpful n pleasant in letting us. I love the closeness to the Shanandoah National Park, the price is reasonable, will be back plenty more..

This was such a cute, cozy, clean place to stay while hiking and visiting friends at a JMU game. It wasn’t fancy but we didn’t need that. It’s a comfortable, clean stay and the staff is friendly and accommodating.

An easy-to-find yet quiet getaway with friendly staff and plenty of space to stretch out and do your thing. Loved the free coffee 24/7, free ice, free wifi, free parking and affordability. Plenty of different cabins and rooms to meet your needs. Stay for a night or a month: they have ample opportunities for both! Showers were hot, AC was cold, mini fridge and microwave in my room. Only negative was the bed was not the comfiest or most expensive mattress I have ever slept on (but for an affordable place I wasn't expecting to have it all).

Friendly, knowledgeable staff, clean room, great proximity to the park and to shops and restaurants.
The road is large but not very noisy and the room warmed up fast when we turned on the heat (lows in the high 30s). We had a full kitchen and made breakfast in the mornings and at night sat out on our room's patio chairs and enjoyed some pretty decent stargazing.
Wifi was a little spotty, but it was workable. TV was great; we even caught up on a few shows.
Can't wait to come back!

A quaint little motel located in a beautiful valley right by the Swift Gap entrance to Shenandoah national park (8min drive) which is the best place to enter the park in terms of distance to all the best hikes. Very neat and clean room (we stayed in 13) with all the essential amenities and decent wifi speed. They have a full sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker etc. Nice cosy stay with good heating and continuous hot water supply. The office is great too with many essential supplies in the vending machines. Only minor inconvenience is absence of cellular service but we really didn’t mind with wifi available. You can hear the traffic but shouldn’t be an issue unless you’re a super light sleeper. Just make sure the Swift Gap entrance is open when you’re visiting if you’re planning on SNP.
