We spent a wonderful overnight here in the Garden room. We loved how the room was appointed with log walls and simple furniture, very comfortable and quiet. The innkeepers, Rob & Kayla, were great as was the cat, Maple. Breakfast was delicious! For the price, it was perfect - we’ll be back.

We celebrated our 23rd anniversary this weekend and had an amazing time. Rob and Kayla are absolutely awesome they were very attentive and accommodated all our needs. We are looking forward to coming back for some more R&R in the future. If you are looking for a place, try Silverlake Bed & Breakfast. You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I stayed at the Silver Lake Bed & Breakfast last Thursday, February 22nd. Rob and Kayla are wonderful hosts. They both enjoy what they do. They are kind, friendly, and dedicated to ensuring their guests have a great stay, which we did. We stayed in the Parlor Room, which is on the first floor, very roomy, has a comfortable bed, and a really nice bathroom with a great shower. Rob and Kayla gave us a great recommendation for dinner at the Dayton Tavern. Dayton is also a nice little town with friendly people and quaint shops. The Inn is a beautifully restored cabin home and in a great spot for those who want to explore the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge, hike, fish, or just visit the area towns. We look forward to our return stay.

We stayed here during one of our weekend adventures and Silver Lake Bed and Breakfast is a fantastic find! It was like a Christmas card! The house and the grounds were gorgeous, very warm, and we really felt at home. The hosts were friendly and hospitable. The breakfasts were unique and tasty. If you are thinking of coming to the area for a weekend getaway we recommend Silver Lake B & B.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a local staycation in February. We ADORED everything about the Silver Lake BnB, from the cozy atmosphere, to the amazing service and breakfast, to Maple, the porch cat. We will definitely stay again!

Exceptional Bed and Breakfast Experience. Everything was great throughout. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the scrambled eggs were divine. Stay here for a great accessible experience in Virginia Wine country.

My husband and I had an impromptu overnight stay at Silver Lake on a long drive from TN to CT. The hosts were responsive and lovely. The room was clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was awesome. I especially loved learning the history about the restoration of this family property, which dates back to 1750.

My husband and I stayed for a night to break up a trip to the east coast. The B &B was so cozy and clean. The inn keeper was very friendly, and breakfast was delicious and well balanced. Definitely would recommend!

This place is a true gem! The property it sits on is absolutely gorgeous and the house itself is so unique. The rooms are very clean and spacious and everything is extremely well kept. The house always smells amazing too! Kayla and Rob are excellent hosts Kayla makes a gourmet breakfast every morning. The front porch has rocking chairs and we loved sitting and just enjoying the natural beauty of the area and playing with the farm cat, Maple, too. This place is such a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city. We left feeling recharged and refreshed. Truly an amazing place to stay! Thanks, Rob and Kayla!

The inn is situated on a beautiful property perched beside a cornfield. From the porch, you can relax and watch time pass, witness the sunset, and fully appreciate the calm and tranquility of this relatively isolated place. However, this can be somewhat misleading, as you're only a 20-minute drive away from local restaurants.

The couple who run the inn are incredibly approachable and exceptionally helpful. The bed was comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean and well-kept. Despite having a full house that day, they did an outstanding job with breakfast. Moreover, they provided valuable information on how to explore the area and even went the extra mile by helping us connect to a power outlet to charge our electric car. We were genuinely grateful for their assistance.

Had to get a room instead of camping after a particularly hot and miserable day of riding. The room was gorgeous, the yard cat Maple is adorable and sweet. Everyone was very friendly. I wish we weren't so tired and in too much of a rush to get home, I would have loved to had breakfast there and looked around more. Only a few minutes away from plenty of places to eat.

Clean, nice, comfortable, in a fun rural location, and with great new hosts who went to great lengths to help us charge our electric vehicle. Very comfy bed and pillows. A well-maintained, log cabin-style building adds to the charm, and the cornfield-surrounded porch with rocking chairs is a plus. Dining is easy, as the town and restaurants are quite a short ride away.

We had an extraordinary visit to the Silver Lake Bed and Breakfast this past weekend. Everything was exactly as described on the website. Their home is so quaint and cozy. Ben and Hannah were phenomenal hosts - seemingly always right there! I don't know how they do it! Our rooms (Homestead Suite) and bathroom were spotless. We decided to skip a hotel this time because we all had trouble sleeping last time and boy, am I glad we did. I slept so well! It was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was incredible. We had two gluten-free people in our party and they went out of their way to proactively ask about allergies and accommodate them. My son was delighted to have a tasty pastry (which he normally does not get to enjoy at a hotel breakfast) in addition to the delicious eggs, bacon, juice, and Greek yogurt with honey and blueberries. We can't thank you enough! Definitely looking forward to visiting again!

The Silver Lake Bed and Breakfast was an absolute joy to stay at. The room was roomy, cozy, and comfortable (we stayed in the suite and brought two young children). The grounds are absolutely stunning! Ben and Hannah were so welcoming and helpful with suggestions for activities, restaurants, and wineries. Also, the breakfasts are incredible and the coffee is great! We just had such a wonderful time during our stay!

So many reviewers have said this but, Silver Lake Bed and Breakfast really is a fantastic find! The entire place was gorgeous, very warm and we really felt at home. The hosts were friendly and hospitable. The breakfasts were unique and tasty. If you are thinking of coming to the area, skip the hotels for sure, and see if Silver Lake B & B is available.
P.S. We loved the rockers on the wrap around porch. They were a perfect place for reading and sipping tea. My husband thought it was a great jumping off point for his 30+ mile bike rides each day as well.

Smells like Christmas in Virginia. This is a must stop. This home is the quintessential colonial cabin you would expect with all the modern amenities and smells delicious from the time you walk in the front door. Maple, the guard cat, will likely welcome you as you exit the car. The owner/operators are beyond friendly and go to great lengths to ensure a fantastic stay. The home boasts a beautiful fireplace in the center of the home for the guests to gather and unwind. The silk room was very large with a gorgeous modern glass shower that showcased the original wooden wall. Comfortable beds and bedding, all of which you would expect. Breakfast was delicious, well prepared, and flavorful. The grounds are beautifully maintained.

From Sue & Jim, Once again we were treated to a wonderful stay with warm hospitality & fantastic breakfasts!! This inn is set in beautiful surroundings and is peaceful and quiet; we particularly love sitting on the front porch visiting with Mable the cat. It's truly a soothing retreat after a fun day antiquing & taking in the sights in the area. This is definitely our preferred destination when visiting this area. We hope to be back again soon!! Thanks Ben & Hannah!!
