Horne's

We decided to make a drive down to Port Royal area and stopped into Horne’s. Upon doing a bit of research, this appears to be the only remaining location. Very cool with lots or retro type candies. Also a lot of gifts. We did not eat here (we will next time) but visited the gift shop and came home with some pretty neat items. We will most definitely be back and will do breakfast or lunch here. Look forward to it!!

If you are looking for great service with a hometown feel this is the place for you. We always love stopping here to shop and especially for the food.
You will not be disappointed.

Great food with a bit of a southern flare. Large food portions, so come hungry. I've had breakfast, soup and sandwiches, and burgers they all tasted great, and there were no regrets. It is sorta of old-fashioned diner style, so service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are. That being said, servers have always been really friendly and always try to fix any shortcomings immediately! Definitely, a stop I would make time for. Desserts look delicious, but I haven't tried them yet.

Nostalgic location, good food and service. Very clean and lots to look at. We shared a doughnut supreme and it was delicious.

Absolutely delicious, portions of food were huge for a great price, lots to choose from on the menu. Service was great, everyone there had a smile on their face and was extremely friendly, everything was clean. Nicely organized little gift shop too. This is an hour drive from us, but we will definitely be back!

The staff is wonderful friendly and very welcoming. The food speaks for it self. The atmosphere is grand, there is so much to look at. There is a section that you can walk through with novelties you can purchase. Just a great place with great people.

Very clean. Food was delicious. Waitress was attentive and kind. A bit on the pricey side but still loved the expertise.

If you like hamburgers get one. They are always delicious always consistent. My favorite is the bacon cheese. Breakfast is always good there and their french fries are awesome. Good service good staff. We will continue to patronize them.

We stopped here our our way back to South Carolina after visiting friends in Maryland. Good home style breakfast. I love there pancakes and their bacon is really good. Good coffee too

I got the southwest burger, coleslaw, and fries, and all were fantastic! The coleslaw in particular stood out to me: fresh and crunchy. Service was friendly and fast. We didn’t have to wait long for our food at all, and it was well worth the stop on our way up to NY.

Best service ever! Employees are super nice and the milk shakes are a hit! I truly recommend going here. So obviously, this is a 5-star rating.

Super cool place. One of those old school places that remind you of the 50s, 60's, I don't know a long time ago. Had the Big Azzzz Burger. Yes, that is how it is spelled. Now, let's talk about the milkshakes....Ya, get that to go, along with the banana split.

Popped in passing through- doesn’t look like much on the outside but the restrooms are very clean, has a gift shop with fun stuff for kids, and the food was great! We tried breakfast and dinner options and both were good. Wish we had room for ice cream!

Step back into the 60's. Fantastic retro dinner/convenience store. Stopped to fill up, regular in the front, diesel in the back. Great counter ice cream bar and a hand full of tables where you can get some good comfort food. We grabbed some milkshakes this time, yummy! Lots of little knickknacks you can get throughout. A Simply Southern authorized dealer, so you can get some nice item. Hot sauce, toys, Dutch Candy, stones, hats, drinks and snacks. They also had a number of candies that I haven't seen anywhere in years, especially Chuckles and good ole candy cigarettes, jeesh used to go through a pack of those a day! Grabbed some Horney water for our trip as well. Hope my wife is in the mood! If your going by it's a good stop for some nostalgia and tasty goodies

Best burger EVER. I've been coming here with my family since the 90's or so and now my daughter loves it here. Great food, atmosphere, and awesome shopping spot. Gas too if you need it. A must stop location with lots of history.

It's a trip back in time, great Homemade Meals, Ice Cream and Gifts of all Sort, if You Experienced these Highway Restaurants when they were everywhere, this is Your Place to feel that Experience again, if You were born too late, You will find what it was all about here.

Food was excellent as well as the service. I've always loved coming in to browse the cool stuff they have but the food was just as awesome. We had a great server as well.

We were amazed by this place, having our first time here. Visit just for the nostalgic gift shop and some ice cream if nothing else. Do enjoy the great food and friendly service! Their burgers and fried chicken are worth a return visit! Wife requested steamed, spiced shrimp in place of fried and they made it happen.
