Not sure if this will eventually completely close. I've read that in the past it stretched over many buildings, now it's focused on one, but still *huge*. They definitely have a lot of space and it can feel eerie with lots of empty shelves and few customers around when I was visiting, but don't let that distract you. There are lots of things to explore, I would say it is well worth visiting and coming back. Specialty food, kitchen tools and gadgets, lots of gardening decoration and pots, and even bedding and some toys... Most bad reviews seem to compare it to 20 years ago, I can't comment on that, it's not Williamsburg pottery ware for sure, but an outlet store.

Seems to be smaller each time I go. I miss when it was at original location. Their prices are not as good and it's so spead out. Sad. I really liked that place

We almost didn't go due to the reviews, but I am glad I ignored them! I have never seen the "old" Williamsburg Pottery so my judgement isn't clouded by the past. I found it to be a nice place to shop. Clean, well organized inventory that had good sales. There is some lesser quality items, but the prices are in line with those products. Some of the shelves are empty and the products are spaced farther than a tradional store. It didn't feel so overwhelming in there. They are trying to fill a HUGE room, so I get that. I will be back!

In past years I was so disappointed with this place, it had completely run down. Four years ago however, it was COMPLETELY transformed with new buildings and face fronts. When my husband and I went by, it was so impressive we went in. With sales and promotions, we got some great deals on items we wanted/needed. At days end, we received $187.40 worth of product for $104.20 (and believe me, I know my prices and when they are overpriced or not). So glad we made the effort. If you haven't been back in the last 4 years - you are in for a BIG surprise! You will love it!
I just read some of the negative reviews and wonder if they were at the same place. "The old place had character"? Not when I was there 7 years ago! I found most of their prices totally reasonable and DIDN"T feel as though they put a bogus price on stuff and then knocked it down as some outlets do. For those who response to the new place as "Yuck!" - well, you just can't please us all can you?

For years, I thought the new Pottery was a letdown from other people's word. However, after several years I finally went inside the new Pottery shops, and I was pleasantly surprised by the inventory, and most of all, the prices. The prices are amazing. I plan to go back more often. I would recommend anyone go here when they can.

Not like it used to be, but we had a wonderful experience, awesome sale in the garden center, short trip, wish I had more time to see it all. We were there close to closing and wonderfully helpful staff member Mary helped us find what were looking for. Excited to come back for the Asian Festival! Have the dates been posted for 2019?

When we went not all the buildings were open. I am sure this is due to Covid but what was open was clean and organized. All the employees were helpful and friendly. The best deal though was an all beef hotdog and soda for $1.50.

I love how it was like a mix of so many "stores"but it was only 3 buildings.
I also like that they don't just sell pottery they sell a mix of a bunch of stuff. If you are in Williamsburg and it's a rainy day or you have nothing to do I recommend you check it out.I think it was cool to look at he thing inside. The prices are really good to and the selection is crazy. Overall it's worth going to!

Great place to walk by yourself or with friends yo find stuff you'll never need, or that you've always wanted! Great selection of world foods and alcoholic beverages. It's not the same as it was 30 years ago, but it's an experience to say the least.

Nice place to shop for a special item for someone. A wide variety from picture frames to lamps to medal collectible signs to pottery. Two huge buildings. You will walk away with something.

The Pottery is an awesome place to spend the day, eat, and shop. It is huge and beautiful and there are a lot of friendly staff members. Highly recommend! Don't miss the great prices at custom framing (can't be beat!) and the really wide variety in the wine shop.

My wife and I we went to Williamsburg Pottery , it was my first time there and I was like the kid in the candy store try to buy everything. They had good prices and if you love your garden like I do they have tons of stuff there and also to your home decorating and everything in between.

A far cry from what this place had been. Although modernized, can't hold a candle to the rustic nature of the old Williamsburg Pottery. You looked forward to walking around the big ugly buildings with a mishmash of merchandise. Watching floral arrangements being assembled before your eyes and the prices were great. Nothing stays the same....

4th Annual Asian Festival was a wonderful experience. Very much appreciate the exposure to the different Asian culture music, dance, and food. It was nice to see all ages, very young and old, men and women, and non-Asian participating in the performances. Looking forward to next year's.

we used to go to the old building...This is of course a modern and nice upgrade. There were 30% and 50% sales on most everything so got some really great deals. Real nice set of pans for son to take to college for only $35

I hadn't been to the pottery in years because I moved away from Eastern Virginia for some years and now we are back. My husband has never been as he is from the other side of Virginia. I decided to take us on a day trip to visit (to me) the new structure which I had learned was done in 2012. I was impressed. On the day we went it was cold so not many shoppers, which was nice because we were abble to browse slowly and make our selections. I found some much needed kitchen supplies, wine glasses, beer glasses, Virginia produced nuts, marinades, and some other quality brand name things at much more attractive prices than department stores. We even purchased some of my favorite local and regional wines. We can't wait until Spring when it's warmer to visit again, and again, and again. I'm pretty sure this is another one of our Williamsburg favorites.
