Blue Stone Hills Dentistry

As someone who has had AWFUL experiences with dentists over the past 25 years, to the point I only went when absolutely necessary... the amazing people at this practice (from front desk to dentist) are helping me realize that going to the dentist doesn't have to be a traumatic experience.

They explained everything they did before they did it. They showed me pictures of my teeth so I could understand why they recommended what they did. They checked in with me consistently throughout the process and gave me multiple breaks to rest my jaw.

I absolutely believe thay they care about me and my dental health, and am actually looking forward to my next visit.

I'm very thankful for this place. My mother in law is going to the Hahn cancer center and has an infected tooth and nowhere takes her insurance nor see her quickly so the Hahn center referred her to this dentistry and they are not charging her. This place is a blessing.

It's too bad I only get to see the quality people in this office twice a year! The front desk staff (Tamara), my dental hygienist (Meghan), and Dr. Curtain are all so welcoming , professional, informative , and just all around awesome. Thank you!

We were on our way to find another dentist office and we ended here by chance.Our family is a strong believer in everything happens for a reason and we gave them a chance and have not been disappointed at all. The staff is so welcoming and friendly and their services are exceptional!

I want to give a huge thank you to Dr. Curtin for coming into the office on a holiday for me when I was not even a patient. I was in severe pain with no relief and could not find a dentist anywhere. Excellent place to go for dental care. Dr. J and Dr. Curtain are very compassionate about what they do; as well as the dental hygentist and dental assistants. Top of the line front office staff as well!

I had braces as a kid and didn’t wear my retainers. They moved a lot and I wanted to straighten them up, Dr. J got ‘em lookin’ PHENOMENAL with Invisalign !!! :D

The hygentist are world class and do a spectacular job with annual cleanings.

Love Blue Stone Hills Dentistry! Autumn was my hygienist and she was great. She is so thorough and my teeth look great. Very personable and caring. Dr.J did my exam and again, she was great. Very knowledgeable and took the time to make sure I understood everything she was telling me. Going to the dentist is rarely fun but this team does everything possible from the moment you arrive to make it the best experience possible. Thanks to you all!

My 11 year old grandson had a wonderful visit. He loved how clean his teeth felt and Autumn was great with him!!
Dr Curtin was wonderful when my grandson had a dental emergency. He got him right in and assessed the problem. We were thankful for his expert knowledge of the reason he was having pain.

I have been a client at Blue Stone Hills Dentistry since 1990. I freely admit that going to the dentist is at rock bottom on my "Favorite Things to Do" list. But everyone at Blue Stone Hills is just wonderful. Caring, kind, respectful, and gentle with sometimes anxious folks like me. And they see you promptly at your appointment time! Every. Time. I highly recommend them!

So ever grateful that 2 competent dentists came when mine retired. The hygienists are awesome as well.
Thankfully, I have had just routine cleanings for about 2 years but the crown I had put on when they first started is identifiable only because there are no fillings. If you can become a patient, you will definitely be pleased.

My son and I switched to Blue Stone Hills Dentistry this year after our previous dentist retired. My first visit was an emergency visit for a cracked tooth. Both docs came in to take care of me outside of normal office hours. The quality of care and service is top notch. I highly recommend Blue Stone Hills Dentistry.

I have been going to Blue Stone Dentistry for over 24 years. The staff are excellent. Donna, one of the receptionists is so sweet and receptive to any concerns. She always follows up on any questions about insurance or scheduling. ‘My’ hygienist, Autumn knows me and my requests before a cleaning like numbing gel and Vaseline for my lips. I call her ‘my’ hygienist because I only want her to do my cleaning. Dr. Janowski is kind and gentle. She is very thorough and spends time answering any questions. She does not try to push dental treatments or procedures if you are not ready. I respect that because as a young adult I did not have good experiences with my previous dentist. My whole family is seen by this practice and I would recommend them to anyone!

A really pleasant experience. The dental hygienist was very professional - courteous and gentle, was always asking if I was comfortable. Doctor J was great, as always. They both had a lot of helpful ideas for my dental health.

Another visit today to Blue Stone Hills Dentistry. Dr. Curtain offers and provides the utmost professional care provided by a dentist in my time going to a dentist. The practice has a very caring professional staff that is very very kind and courteous. I have had some dental work done over the last year or so and feel confident that I have been in good hands. I would definitely recommend this practice for all of your dental needs. Just have one thing you might add, and that is Dr. J’s picture beside Dr. Curtain’s on your professional page here because she’s “top of the line” also like the rest of their practice. When have you heard someone say they love going to the dentist? I do! The staff are wonderful - friendly, professional, and efficient. I feel right at home. Dr. Curtain is just terrific. His exams are thorough and he explains everything. He was calm and made suggestions but I never felt pushed or pressured. I am looking forward to my next visit!

After moving here a few months ago, I searched online and selected this practice. Today was my second visit. I went for full mouth x-rays, a full exam and a treatment plan.

This is a husband/wife team. I liked that. Their good dental college and the fact they worked with clinics serving underprivileged populations pleased me. It shows they are very caring and have good character.

The two dentists and all their staff are very welcoming and were glad to answer my questions. They explained clearly as we went through the procedures. They are willing to help me pace and prioritize the work I need to meet my finances.

Their office is in a lovely brick building with their own parking lot. The waiting area is a generous size and nicely furnished. The treatment rooms make one comfortable and relaxed.

Their equipment is very up to date so it helps make procedures more comfortable and requires less time in the chair. The newer technology can result in better treatments not even available until recently.

I’m looking forward to being a patient at Blue Stone Hills Dentistry. It’s part of what makes me pleased about my recent move to Harrisonburg, VA.

Huge shout out to Dr J and Dr C and their staff. After suffering for 12 days with severe mouth sores and being told by my doctor I would have to ride it out, I called Bluestone Hills Dentistry. They both took the time to look in my mouth and do the research to figure out what was going on. After just one day, I am already getting some relief and feeling better. I can’t thank them enough for taking time to hear my concerns and symptoms and figuring out a plan of action to get me on the road to recovery. There staff is also amazing and super friendly! Highly recommend this practice!!!
