The Ridge View

My 2nd visit in 2 years. Older but so nice. Staff excellent. An enjoyable stay

It is very close to 2 Heavenly lifts. They had a shuttle that took me to the stagecoach lift after calling someone. It took 5-10 minutes for the shuttle to show up and another 5 to get there. Driving to the Boulder lift took 3 minutes.

The ridge villa room has a spectacular view of the lake Tahoe and it's HUGE. It's for 4 people, but it's larger than most 1b1b apartments. The bedroom is upstairs with 2 bathrooms; one on each floor. The building and the room are a bit old. The elevator is small. No staff onsite as far as I can tell.

I absolutely LOVE Ridge View! I lucked up on this place about two years ago through Expedia and now every time I'm in Tahoe I ONLY trust to go there. The rooms are very spacious and true to what is pictured on the site. It's very clean (almost spotless) and overall a home away from home. We we're also able to do laundry for free after hitting the outdoor jacuzzi and they even provided free detergent as well.. Can't wait to go back, the experience of staying there is only the beginning

I love this place. The times I've been here it's been clean however this time around the pull out beds were stained. Roll away beds are not available due to safety issues. They have complimentary do it your self laundry service. They provide laundry detergent no dryer sheets which is fine. I found that to be very convenient because I didn't have to take home dirty clothes. The staff is really nice and friendly. A small store is close by a little pricey but it's expected. All in all I love this place

Large loft style room with a great view of the valley, comfy bed, and a shared hot tub on the roof, although we never saw anyone else. There is no lobby because registration is off-site, so keep your room key away from your phone or it’s a short drive for a new one. Halls are pretty bare-bones, but the rooms are a great value.

This is a regular location for us when we visit Lake Tahoe. We were very pleased with the Atlantic Salmon and the 10oz Prime Rib. We treated ourselves to Torched Apple Manhattan and some Hampton Water Rose. Service is always impeccable. Our waiter deserves high praise for his assistance.

I've owned here for the past 15 years. I always love the view and crisp air. Normally the accommodations are better, during my check of the facility I found dishes, silverware, glasses missing, no ice maker, and chair wobbly, and bathroom light inoperative.

Stayed Thanksgiving weekend at “The View”. Family really enjoyed the room, the clubhouse, pool , the sauna, and the hot tub. Phenomenal and relaxing time.

The condo was very spacious and clean. Don't plan on cooking there....there are very sparse cooking utensils. Fortunately, I have friends that actually live in the condos and we're able to provide what I was lacking.

Great landscape views, cozy rooms, full kitchen options to book, clubhouse with pool, Roman hot tub, fitness center and small marketplace options. Between these amenities and local amusement, we enjoyed our week stay!

We stopped at Ridge View due to impassable roads up the Tahoe Ridge Naegle where we are staying. It was a rough night, but eventually Ridge Resorts took care of us - Picked us up, our luggage, groceries, etc.; Drove us to the Clubhouse so we could check in, and drove us up to our room (actually a very spacious 2 master bedroom condo). We will never give up on our Ridge Resort ownership!

The property is private, the sights are breath taking, the people are so friendly. The shuttle runs guests into town so no need to stress about driving.

A great Family place waaaay up on top of the mountain, with great views! Especially from the rooftop hot tub.
Good for kids, since it is away from the Casinos and Cigarette smoke.

The Ridge Tahoe Resort is next to the Heavenly Stagecoach ski lift (will need the shuttle to get there from the 'View bldg) but there is a lot for non-skiiers to do, too. Summers are also busy.

Free exercise classes, tennis, easy hikes or snowshoeing, racquetball, gym, spa, pool, ski shop, kids' movies & activities, and so on are at the Clubhouse or Resort Center, plus there is a market, restaurant, and bar.
There is a Free shuttle to get around the 30 acre resort, or down the hill to the Casinos and shops in South Lake Tahoe, so no car is really necessary after you get there.
Most 'out-of-towners' fly in to Reno, take a Bus 1 hr south to the Mount Bleu Casino in South Lake Tahoe, then the free shuttle bus (from the East/left end of Casino) up to the Resort. It currently runs every 2 hours*, but if you have a big group + suitcases, just call The Ridge Tahoe Transportation Dept. an hour or two ahead of time, and they often can make an extra trip (*as of 2019; schedule may change).

The hillside Ridgeview building '18' is on the west side of the mountain top, with a great view of the Lake down below, and the sunsets.
Hot Tub, Sauna, Sun Deck, and BBQ are on the roof (8th flr). Pool Table and (free) Laundry are on 3rd (main) floor.

The 3rd and 6th floor 1 BR/2 BA 'Loft' units are HUGE (2 story), with a comfy sleeper couch + regular couch, so sleep 4 (or 5) easily. Floors 4 & 5 (3rd digit in 4 digit room#) are 1 story, 1 BR, but those often have jetted bath tubs, which are great after a day of skiing.
All units have a full kitchen & gas fireplace.

For TV (& G.of T.) watchers:
Free HBO on the cable TV, but no OnDemand (yet). Has DVD player, and can rent popular movies at the Marketplace in the Clubhouse.

As of 2019: Has Free 'slow' wireless in unit for checking emails, & now has paid 'high speed' for streaming movies to your laptop (Hint: bring an HDMI cable).
BR has USB charger ports on nightstand.

Downside of this building is that it is far from the Clubhouse over on the East side of the hilltop, so the little shuttle bus must be taken to/from it.

Upside is that it is closer to the Boulder Ski Lodge, where the kid's ski lessons are, and there is a little sledding hill across the street.
...And the HUGE 1 BR Loft units are great for timeshare or Points trade-ins!

It is in my opinion the very best timeshare resort experience. Ridge view has view of lake with jucuzy on the roof, sauna,BBQ on roof. Jucuzzy bath in room. Clubhouse with steam rooms euculiptus, indoor outdoor pool, indoor outdoor tennis, racket ball, backetball, ping-pong, volleyball, pooltabels, at unit as well as clubhouse, ski left to heavenly just swipe your card. The best experience I believe in Lake Tahoe 5 star resort buy far

We have been here 2 times now and we have everything been very happy with our time. The facility is very nice, and very clean. This is our friends timeshare that he let us stay,
I'm sure we will be back.
