Sunrise Bakery

Sunrise Bakery is a charming bakery attached to the Historian Inn. They share a common room between the hotel desk and the bakery which provides plenty of Western ambiance in which to enjoy your baked goods. The coffee and the pasties were excellent, we shared several of them. The view from the front of the bakery is wonderful!

I needed croissants for Father's Day weekend. I ordered 6 for Saturday pick up. They were delicious, buttery and flaky. A labor of love for baking. I also picked up cookies that were yummy. We had bacon, french brie and pesto croissants. Can't wait to try other pastries too.

THE BEST Bakery I've been to in decades!! Lisa, the owner, bakes the most SCRUMPTIOUS AND FRESH muffins I've EVER had (I'm particularly fond of the Raspberry White Chocolate muffins, but everything is beyond YUMMY)!! It is located in Gardnerville, and they also bake personalized items, too! Lisa took SUCH good care of us: she made our mornings so much more bearable, even while we were SO worried if we would have a home to go back to in Tahoe. Lisa, YOU ROCK!!! We will never forget your KINDNESS! ❤

Tasty pastries made by the new friendly owner. She has created a wonderful spot with Lots of variety and new flavor combinations. We really enjoyed our breakfast of pear vanilla muffin, gingerbread muffin, pear scone along with fruit and cheese sliced . A lovely find- we will return!

Ordered two dozen cupcakes. They were so good! Both chocolate and vanilla were perfectly baked, did not stick to cupcake paper and were really delicious. Cream cheese frosting is really good also! Highly recommend!

Love the Cranberry Magic bars, & the Carmelita's are amazing! My mom loves the lemon bars. Lisa is a sweetheart & excellent baker!

Small but heartful bakery. I appreciate your gluten-free options. Hard to find any GF in town. I love your scones and muffins. My friends and Co-workers only go there now.

We picked up a variety of goods and each one of them was outstanding. It's nice to have a local bakery that knows what they're doing in town.

The scones are a great treat, my next treat will be a cinnamon roll. So many choices ! Entering the bakery is such a welcome the scents of the freshly baked breads is awesome.
On a note: it would be great if you offered Ham and cheese croissants in the near future and I am sure they will be a Hit ! Ham and cheese or Ham and cheese with egg. Your Bakery is on to a good start.
