Quarterdeck Resort

Honestly, I apologize for the lack of photos. My review:
Amazing. Locations is perfect, Gull lake access and the parking docks... perfect. The patio that access the bar with out door food service is second to none. And that service, everyone was excellent, the servers were fast, accurate and considerate. Bar staff was the best mix of funny, sarcastic and professional, I feel like the personal they have was top tier. Which everything was. The beds in the suite were so comfy that after a day of hiking and sampling the menu items, made sleep easy. TVs are small, because you really should be outside. It's a little higher than my normal expense amount but I wouldn't be shy of spending when the experience was what we had. Every one of the food items we had was beyond my expectations. Buffalo wings had heat, the nachos were stacked, the sandwiches were so well built and so tasty... It's a great place. Good work to all the owners and staff! 9/10

We did not stay at Quarterdeck, but met friends for drinks and dinner.
We ate outside, enjoyed our meals and our attentive server. It was quite busy for a Thursday evening so getting our table took some time, but everything after that went smoothly.
I might have easily passed on the solo musical talent performing covers with an almost Bob Dylan twang, but that is a matter of personal taste.

Fantastic experience at this little slice of rustic paradise. The hotel itself has excellent staff who are friendly, kind, and committed to excellent service. The rooms were beautifully appointed, clean, and comfortable. The property this is situated on is beautiful. But it was the hotel bar/restaurant staff that made this such a wonderful stay. Shout out to the bartender Hannah, who poured my husband and I beverages as we watched the aurora over the lake. We cannot wait to come back for a longer stay.

(Review from before they updated) Very much like this resort! Stayed in cabin down next to hotel. Almost new at that time. Very modern, clean, and nicely decorated in style that we liked. Restaurant was good and in summer they have nice outdoor area/patio for drinks and live music. We are excited to return with the new outdoor pool/sauna/arcade amenities.
Only negative was the beach/swimming area being very rocky and not conducive for small kids to play. But they had a lily pad for public use off the dock. Marina there to easily rent pontoon as well. This is my preferred resort on Gull.

I reached out to them distressed and tearful as I had an urgent problem to solve. The venue where I had initially booked my wedding informed me that I could not use stakes to assemble my canopy, utilize extra electricity, or frequently use the bathroom for septic reasons. The property manager made these requirements after we had already paid for the venue and the rental property manager had approved our wedding plans. Eventually, the property manager informed us that we could not have our wedding there despite our invitations that were sent out months ago, and the wedding was just a week and a half away. This news left me devastated and panicked, unsure of what to do. I began searching for alternative venues and remembered that I had booked a jacuzzi suite for my fiance and me during the wedding, so I decided to start there. I spoke with a very kind person who went out of their way to accommodate my needs, and I was immensely grateful for that.

I am amazed by the exceptional customer service I have received from this company compared to any other company I have dealt with during the wedding planning process. All the receptionists have been incredibly hospitable and courteous. It is rare to receive such outstanding customer service these days, but they have surpassed my expectations. They promptly respond to all our queries and provide solutions to any issues. I am so grateful that our previous venue fell through. I am now incredibly excited to have my wedding here instead!

Loved staying in their 2 bed cabin in their woodsmoke neighborhood. We had our own fire-pit and grill. They said you have to pay for wood for the pit which was a bit lame, would be nice if they would do one bundle for free but they will deliver it via golf cart to ya which is cool. We loved having the boat launch there and they do have off site trailer parking both for free for guests but we just kept our boat at the cabin which was even better. The cabins are nice! all modern, high end, clean and just beautiful. They are a bit of a walk to the lake but they do have a little beachy area and the resort and restaurant are right overlooking the water on Gull lake. The beds are comfy and AC units in each area which we loved. They have the QD social which is cool but closes at 10, pretty much right about when my husband and I wanted to head over there. They have some fun games and bar. We never did get to try the games but heard you had to pay and kind of pricey- would be cool if they gave guests like $10 credit to spend at the social on games or free drinks. The building is right in the pool and hot tub and sauna court area. Hot tub was often busy with kids. Recommend an adult only hour and maybe staying open a bit later like 11pm on weekdays and 12pm on weekends. The staff were all very nice and friendly.

We recently provided our window cleaning services for all the buildings across the resort, and we could not be happier with the cooperation of Quarterdeck resort. Our cleanings went efficiently and comfortably due to the cooperation and excellence of the staff and management. Highly recommend.

Amazing new cabins. Great heated pool and a hopping bar with great live music and views. Stayed at the new 2 bedroom cabin. Gorgeous.

Super clean lake view room with fireplace and overall buildings are decorated nice! New outdoor heated pool, hot tub and sauna were amazing! Staff is super super super friendly! Nice to have a full bar and restaurant with great food just right downstairs. Location is super close to everything in Brainerd Lakes area. We got a great last minute stay deal, we would definitely stay again!!

Had such a wonderful time here!! Staff is helpful, restaurant food was delicious, and the rooms are great with amazing views of the lake. Will be back for certain!

What a fantastic resort - Gracie at the front desk was amazing, good food, great drinks and a stellar view. Priced very affordable for the value!

Absolutely AMAZING!! Relaxing, beautiful and great staff! Went for a get away with the husband away from the kids and we can’t wait to come back!

This is the perfect destination for an amazing and relaxing good time. Picture perfect setting on Gull Lake. Staff is absolutely fantastic, and friendly. We can't wait to return.

We picked Quarterdeck because it was one of the few resorts that would accept a dog. Now I'll go back whether or not we have a furry friend with us. The room was super spacious, patio out to the lake so great views. We had a quick dinner at the restaurant (pub food, but some interesting items like frickles). I didn't realize until the next morning we were right over the restaurant, everything was so quiet. Took a dip in the heated pool and hot tub on a chilly November night. Definitely going back to enjoy summer weather!

We didn’t stay at the Quarterdeck we stopped in for a cocktail and fuel for our pontoon! The Q is ALWAYS enjoyable.

SO GREAT!!! An awesome stay in December!! We will definitely be back and are recommending staying at Quarterdeck to everyone! The customer service was excellent; food was great; room was clean and cozy and THAT POOL and HOT TUB!! 😍

Wow! Wish I knew about this resort sooner. We stayed in one of the lakefront 5 bedroom homes. Not sure what the exact name was, but the house looked almost brand new and had all new appliances. Sparkling clean. The rooms and bathrooms were very nicely decorated and had comfy furniture. Place overall had more of a "coastal" feel than a Midwest cabin feel.

The house comfortably fit 8 adults (4 couples), a baby, and 3 dogs. No one slept on a couch. Very spacious!

The lakefront area all had nicely landscaped grass and you could walk barefoot if you wanted to. Lake views from the cabin and our firepit were great.

The place is very pet friendly! We were allowed to have several dogs in the home with advanced permission of course.

The food is very good as well. I loved their lakefront restaurant. Sunday brunch was great if a bit pricey.

They had free kayak rentals and also you could reserve either half day or full day pontoon rentals (for a fee of course). Pontoon was excellent. There is a great swimming beach as well though it is rocky, not sandy really.

Overall a much smaller resort than Grandview or Maddens but a worthy contender that makes up with newer buildings and amenities. They are currently building a pool that should be finished fall of 2023.

I would definitely return, especially with a large group.

We had a 4 day stay in December. I loved the fireplace and hot tub in the room, very relaxing. The service was very friendly and the restaurant at the resort had a great menu. I loved the different themed drinks they had for the winter season. Perfect place to stay for ice fishing and snowmobiling! All in all 10/10 we will definitely be back again.

Loved the beach and the food. The outdoor bar.

This place was great we had so much fun. The live music acts there that late afternoon/evening were both really good. The food was great! Got the fried chicken sandwich and the cheese curds. They were both amazing the memorable. The prices are reasonable for the areas. The specialty cocktails were not great so get something basic at the bar. The outdoor vibe is great. Expect to wait a little while if you go during peak hours. Our server was fantastic!!
