My Favorite Park/Nature Area in this awesome town of South Haven, MI. It has well kept clean bathrooms. The trails offer variety with direct access to the beach from a paved walkway (that would allow someone in a wheelchair to get within approximately 50 feet from the water and still be on the paved trail walkway). It is a great beach to collect rocks. Trails go along the sandy bluffs offering different scenic views of the beach and nice benches (these particular trails are not wheelchair friendly but easy to walk). A stream meanders through the park with a wooden bridge crossing and different vistas and paths. There are fun little hidden discoveries throughout the park. It has a unique history if you research it. It is also dog friendly. Lovely!

ADA compliant, has a walk area all the way to the beach. The walk is not too far, but there is a bench halfway if one needs to rest. Lots of awesome rocks, huge rocks. It's a nice but rocky beach, but I think it may be my favorite!

Such a great preserve! I've had my kids there so many times, lots of pics to sort through to find them, so, I'll just say, a touch of trail walking, tree climbing, open running for fun, maybe a baseball game, and swimming...with your dogs, as long as you clean up, lol(c'mon, it's common courtesy), and as youve seen, some great sunsets, romantic, beautiful.....my engagement pictures were shot here...

Great place to find rocks and watch the sunset. Found this hidden gem this summer and have been there multiple times. Awesome park with a ton of history. If you're a rock hound check this place out. You won't be disappointed.

Best handicap accessible beach ramp I have ever seen. A wheelchair get from parking lot to within 30' of lake. It is sand, rocks and pebbles from there. Many people collecting. Great trails and stream to explore. Small but great park!

Perfect beach to rock hound, sit and admire the view, and even jumping in the water. Bring water shoes, bucket, blanket and enjoy the day getting lost in the rocks!!

Dogs on leash are allowed. Easy walk from the parking lot to the beach. The bathrooms had lots of flies... bring insect spray. Life jackets are available to borrow. Many sizes of rocks.

Big Trees, Beautiful Rocks & Beaming Water. Should be named Rock Haven. Came home with lots of goodies even though it was very busy. Also very handicapped accessible sidewalk from parking to sand.

Amazing place to rock hunt! Quiet, was not busy at all. Great view of the water but I spent the day looking for lightning stones and Petoskey stones and left quite pleased! 100% recommended

Pilgrim Park Natural Area is absolutely a gem on the west coast of Michigan. My wife and I wanted to do some rock hunting and found it to be perfect, picking up beach glass, and other nice stones. But, this beach has trails as well! I included the map in one of the photos! This is a must stop!

Beautiful but rocky beach. We enjoyed the sunset and did a little yooperlite rock hunting (no success, they are rare).

Pretty park, creek runs through it to the lake. Several walking paths. There are lots of rocks to go through and a sandy beach area.

I love this park! And everyone I have shared this beautiful hidden gem is always surprised how beautiful and quiet it is. It's secluded not like S.H Going down to the water can be hard if your not wanting to get through the sand dunes

It was cold and windy but the waves and view was amazing. We were also surprised how many people were there on a cold, windy Monday.

Beautiful, quiet, clean beach with good rock picking and limited development. We'll be back.

Large selection of rocks to chose from for rock hunters. A pleasant place. Clean restrooms. Spacious parking lot. Latrines are open during the winter.

This beach is a real treasure if you appreciate rock hunting. It’s over an hour away from my home but so worth the trip!
Not the best for ‘swimming’, very rocky and the waves are often much to great for that. Wear old tennis shoes and bring a bucket and just have fun. Plan on getting wet if you do go near the water. The path to the beach is concrete, very easy to navigate. Bring your own drinking water.
