Hotel Tavern

We were there on a busy Friday night at peak time. Our server, Bonnie, could not have been better! She was friendly, prompt and observant. Besides a nice assortment on the menu, there were several daily specials offered and some unique choices for sides. My husband had the Walleye special with tater tot casserole and salad, I had the grilled shrimp special with brussel sprouts and creamy coleslaw. Both of our meals were generous portions, cooked and seasoned to perfection; even the sides were delicious! The restaurant itself is an older building; the lighting is a little overly bright inside and the decor nothing special, but it seemed very clean. It was crowded, but still not too noisy to have a conversation. We found the food a good value for the price, too. We will definitely go there again!

Easily, this place ranks 10 stars for all categories! First off, the service is exceptional. The waiter was super friendly and attentive without being a nuisance. The owners circulated occasionally throughout our dinner and checked on tables and diners' needs too,
Springport Hotel Tavern is in an historic building in "downtown" (four corners...) Springport, Michigan. Springport is the next town south of Eaton Rapids. The drive is scenic and only about 15 or 20 minutes to experience great service, great atmosphere, and most importantly, GREAT Food! The building may be historic, but the kitchen and dining area are up-to-date and clean.
The menu has a wide selection of appetizers, entrees, sides, sandwiches , PIZZA and ala carte items to choose from, and every choice is prepared well and tastes wonderful. Our pizza was loaded and served hot and fresh out of the oven. It was definitely prepared with a generous hand on the toppings! We ordered a 12" and it was so filling that we took half of it home (and we are big eaters)...
Please save room for dessert! The selection is rich and very reasonably priced. You may need to get it to go if you are full, but you do not want to skip dessert! Did I mention pool tables...

Great food. Tried bbq chicken pizza last time and was the best I gave ever had. This is a real hidden gem!

A friend invited my wife and me down to try out their pizza. It was fantastic!!! The waitstaff was excellent and friendly. The Hotel Tavern has that small town friendly atmosphere that one would hope to expect. Husband and wife owners doing a remarkable job!!!

Tried the pig burger it's was huge the fries were very good. I've had other food in there that was just ok but the burgers are very good

Such good atmosphere and food. Pizza obviously is a must, but switch it up from time to time-other menu options are so tasty!

Had the gizzards appetizer. Was very surprised to see these on a menu lately. They were tasty and tender. The pizza was delicious. The young man who waited on us and who was the nephew of the owner was so friendly and attentive to everything we needed. We would definitely go there again when in that area.

I had the smoked pork chop special. It was great 2 large porkchops for $12 can't beat that deal. Staff was friendly. Nice small town local bar.

Amazing place, owners are beyond...pizza you will die for and offer a lot more you will love...I can see why folks come from miles away to Hotel Tavern...a hidden gem where you call home...a very special place for sure...food is wonderful and always packed to the gills Fri-Sat...amazing place, hometown feeling, food is incredible and priced right

Worth the short drive on Friday night for a variety of steaks and prime rib. Excellent cuts, quite large, and Tender (with a capital "T"). Great pizza that I hear raves about in surrounding towns.
The Hotel Tavern also has a complete menu, aside from the Friday night steak, prime rib, and fish specials, where you'll find the pizza mentioned above, and several other items, including a decent list of appetizers.

Small town country western bar with big screen televisions to watch sports. Great food, great service, place was packed but still felt comfortable.

Amazing people! The owners came out and talked with us and to make sure we were pleased with their food. The pizza is amazing. A small will feed two people. And the prices are half what they should be. Great food. Great prices. And even greater people.

Had a fantastic date night with my honey. Prime rib was excellent and our waiter was great.
