Pine Cottage

Lovely one night stay, would absolutely stay here again. The cottage is so charming and quiet - I loved that it’s situated on a side street from the Main Street so it feels very peaceful. Our room was one of the smaller ones with a shared bathroom but we still found this to be very cute and comfortable! We purposely chose a b&b in a historic house and nothing was disappointing to us. Afternoon cookies, coffee available throughout the day, great A/C in rooms, SUPER clean, & delicious quiche in the morning. Lovely vibes and friendly staff, next time we are staying two nights!

Wonderful experience. This place is close enough to town to be convenient while far enough that you’re not near a lot of noise and activity. The hosts are gracious and helpful. The breakfast is wonderful. The wraparound porch is a delight. The room was comfortable and we had plenty of hot water. We would stay there again without hesitation.

Had a pleasant stay overnight, friendly staff and nice rooms. The shared bathroom was never a big issue. Good breakfast in the morning and you are able to leave your bags before and after checkout if you are spending the rest of the day on the island.

Our first time staying on the island and couldn't have been happier with Pine Cottage accommodations. The room with a king size bed was perfect and had a great view. Breakfast was delicious. The innkeepers were efficient and friendly. Loved having a bike rack right out side the front door. The walk to downtown is short. We would certainly choose this Bed and Breakfast again.

My Mother and I recently visited Pine Cottage. We found it very charming. Our hosts were most hospitable. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was very good, with a variety of pastries, muffins, fruit and Caroline's excellent quiche. We enjoyed our stay very much!

The pine cottage was the perfect place to stay for our trip to Mackinac Island! The rooms were clean, it’s in a good location, and everyone was super nice and helpful! Definitely recommend.

Pine Cottage was the perfect place to stay on Mackinaw. We were traveling with a baby and they went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Would absolutely stay with them again!

We stayed one night on Mackinac Island early September. We had chosen this B&B last March or April based on more affordable rates yet with good location and quality of the establishment. We liked that the building is not in the busiest part of town yet a very walkable distance from the ferry, that our luggage is delivered to and taken from the B&B as part of our ferry ticket, that breakfast and tea time are included, that the room had updated mattresses and style. We loved the quiet location, the outside porch, the dining room decor, food and atmosphere, but most of all, the owners' professionalism, welcoming attitude, and know-how. We were hesitant about having to use a shared bathroom (no longer accustomed to this in hotels), but having 2 full bathrooms available on our floor worked quite well. Having a small sink in our room helped. We recommend this cozy, family run B&B and appreciate all the efforts made to make it look beautiful, keep it clean, and for making guests feel welcome. Where else would you find a hand-written welcoming note in your room?

We had a lovely stay at the Pine Cottage. But we did have to wait a bit for a table in the morning.

We loved out stay at the Pine Cottage! We experienced a booking error on the website, but were given a new room immediately & the customer service was great! Everything was very clean and everyone was kind. Our stay was quiet & peaceful, and experienced no problems sharing bathrooms. The bed was comfortable & our room kept cool with the windows cracked, however, there was also AC available. The breakfast in the morning was delicious & included a gluten-free cereal option, homemade muffins, homemade breakfast scramble, oatmeal, bagels, danishes, fruit, apple juice, water, coffee, & hot water for tea. I recommend the Pine Lodge!!

The Pine Cottage Bed and Breakfast was a great experience to stay on Mackinaw Island. Pros: The staff was friendly and the complimentary Breakfast was delicious! They had wonderful coffee, tea, and a beautiful wrap-around porch to sit and enjoy the weather. It's only a short walk to the main downtown shops. Cons: No view to see downtown, there are community bathrooms for each floor, and it is up a hill with a steep incline. The price was reasonable for the area and we would definitely stay here again.

Perfect place to stay on the island if you are on a budget. Good location - convenient to everything but quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Sharing the bathroom wasn't a problem, probably because I had a sink in my room. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great place right by downtown if traveling by bike. Very clean and good breakfast. There is bike parking and they really helped make my birthday special by having the most delicious cake in the room when we came back from dinner. Online and in person concierge was great ! Overall a lovely stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this Bed & Breakfast and would recommend it to anyone! Very short walk to town (just a few minutes), a clean and comfortable building as well as a private and peaceful room. The innkeeper and her little Josie were of much help, we really enjoyed our time here!

Pine Cottage was absolutely delightful! My room was beautiful and tidy, and I loved everything about my stay. Being located right off of main street and yet tucked away from most of the bustle was perfect. I greatly enjoyed some time reading on the big porch in the morning! I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quaint and cozy spot to stay on the island! I will definitely be back!

This B&B was adorable, and the owners were incredibly kind! It felt like I had been invited into a good friend's home and treated like a special guest. Water, coffee, and tea available all day, plus lemon-mint tea always available out on the porch, where you can sit in their many rocking chairs to read a book, relax, etc.

The cottage is a historic building with cute flowery wallpaper and clawfoot bathtubs, but still had updated amenities too: air conditioners in each room to keep it plenty cool, which you can adjust however you like; a TV in each room; an ice machine in the lobby. We used a shared bathroom, but there were 2 at the end of our hallway, so at least 1 was always available. They were always clean and seemed to be checked by the staff throughout the day. Plus, each bedroom included a sink, which made the shared bathroom even less of a concern. The bedroom doesn't really have any extra space for hanging out, but it's an island vacation...who's there to just sit in their room? When we needed to relax or waste time during the rain, we brought a book out to the porch and sipped some lemon water!

The food was AMAZING. Breakfast is included with your stay. Our first breakfast was an incredible french toast casserole, and our second was biscuits and gravy full of potatoes, eggs, and sausage. There's plenty of extra options too: cereal, oatmeal packets, fruit, bagels, and pastries. They also have "tea time" at 4pm each day: fruit and homemade cookies, along with the tea/coffee that is always available. We were actually disappointed that we were only able to make it to tea time once, because we really liked it! Such a sweet, unexpected gesture from the owners!

Overall, I'd stay here again and upgrade to an even better room if I could. I truly appreciated all the effort the owners put in to make it feel like home. They obviously care very much.

Wonderful little Bed and Breakfast. The room was spacious and the king size bed was very comfortable. Breakfast choices were limited but tasty. Afternoon cookies and coffee were a delicious surprise at check in. Would 100% stay again.

We spent our 9th anniversary here. We had a full-size bed, and while the room was small, it was exactly what was needed. We were only there to sleep, after all! The shared bathrooms were not inconvenient - I never had to wait. Pete, Caroline, and their daughter made our stay perfect, taking care of everything. The breakfast was delicious. 5 stars all around.

I will note: If you have mobility issues, the stairs and claw foot bathtubs may be a challenge. This was not an issue for us, though.

Wonderful B&B located in a quiet part of town. Great innkeeper, amazing housekeeping, very clean and accommodating. Delicious, warm breakfasts every morning with wonderful options, and tea/cookies every afternoon make this little gem a must-stay place for anyone looking for accommodations on Mackinac Island. I HIGHLY recommend this property and would definitely stay here again. GREAT PLACE!!
