Harbour View Inn - Mackinac Island, MI

The Harbour View Inn was such a pleasant experience. We enjoyed the staff . They were courteous and helpful. We appreciate the planning in serving the continental breakfast. It was delicious. The fruit was so fresh. We noticed the staff was constantly refilling the station. We enjoyed staying on the second floors to relax on the veranda. Nice time to meet other couples. The only thing we were concerned was that our bags were brought to us 5 minutes prior to our departure on the ferry. Thank you again for a terrific first experience.

We stay on the island each year and try to choose a different hotel so we can have a variety. We went back to the Harbor View this year because we were so impressed by our last visit. The only issue was my fault - I misremembered the length of the walk from the ferry and my grandmother had a hard time and had to rest a few times on the way. Again, completely on me.

The employees were incredibly friendly, from the porters to the housekeeping staff. The room was beautiful and clean and the grounds are ridiculously beautiful. I need them to teach me how to keep my flowers like this at home! We will definitely be back.

We stayed in the cottage house and it was lovely. We were fortunate to have AC in our room because it was unusually warm the weekend we visited. But the location is amazing (check out the Watercolor Cafe across the street). It is close to town but also far enough away that you can enjoy the quiet of the island. The view from our room wasn't great, but you could sit on front porch and enjoy a view of the harbor. Would highly recommend.

We loved our stay at the Harbour View Inn, nice balcony room that is much nicer than several other hotels on the island. Staff were all very polite and all of our needs were met and exceeded. They make luggage on and off the island super easy and the extra amenities like very low cost bike rentals are a huge plus! We will definitely be back next time we vacation on Mackinac Island!

Lovely place to stay! Quiet because it's out of the downtown area but not too far to walk, just a few blocks. We enjoyed spending our evenings on the balcony overlooking the beautiful courtyard. Continental breakfast included (premade) omelets or sausage sandwiches, much more than I expected. Everything was very clean and in excellent condition. Would definitely return!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Harbour View! The staff was so wonderful, the rooms were great with an amazing view! Perfect location for staying on Mackinac, really reasonable bike rental rates that were way cheaper than any of the bike shops. The entire property is beautiful And the complementary breakfast was impressive! We will definitely be back to stay here!

Absolutely loved our stay here! It was yhe perfect relaxed getaway that we had hoped for our first child free vacation. We loved just sitting on the balcony or porch and taking in the view. The gardens all around the property are beautiful. All of the staff were super friendly, and the breakfast was plentiful and yummy! We cannot wait to come back!

We have been blessed with incredible weather and this is our first time staying away from Main St hotels. Such a relaxing atmosphere, great staff with friendly service and your surrounded by 200 years of history. You can't go wrong with this pick for you visit to the island

We often stay at the Harbour View Inn on Mackinac Island and are always pleased with their strong commitment to ensuring their guests are having a pleasant experience. The main facility is a beautiful historic home, where breakfast is served each morning. And by breakfast, we are talking about a true breakfast, complete with cooked oatmeal, changing egg offerings, lots of seasonal fresh fruit, and a wonderful assortment of breads and coffee cake. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. And they also have a small quantity of bicycles for rent right there at a much more reasonable price than will be found in town. (But if you have to rent in town, we recommend Ryba's Bike Rental, as they have better prices than the other rentals). The location is wonderful, just a short walk away from the sometimes craziness of downtown. In the evening, bring a bottle of wine, which can be enjoyed on one of two front porches or out back in their beautiful gardens. We highly recommend the Harbour View Inn for your next trip to Mackinac Island.

One of my favorite places I’ve stayed! The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcomed. There was fresh lemon water in the lobby all the time. The location is perfect and the views from the balconies are beautiful! The rooms are so cute and perfectly decorated! Definitely recommend staying here!!

Stayed here last night and my family and I enjoyed our stay! Room was very clean, cozy, and spacious! Wish I had taken photos of the room but it looks exactly like the photos posted everywhere you’ve seen. We had an amazing view of the lake from our room which we enjoyed it a lot. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We called prior to our check-in if our room was available and it wasn’t ready at the time but they’d give us a call back when it was ready; 30 mins later, they called and it was ready! A staff member kindly brought us our luggage to our room. We stayed in one of the guest houses where we can either walk through the interior garden (loved the flowers and landscaping!) or walk it up on one of the streets outside of the Inn! The complimentary breakfast buffet was good too especially on our last day! The breakfast included variety of fruit, bagels, bread, cereal, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, egg/cheese biscuit, etc.! You can also rent bikes as well! It’s a short walk from downtown; perhaps a 5-7 minute walk but the walk is very peaceful and you get to admire landscapes from other places as well as the lake. It’s also located 1-2 mins away from Watercolor Cafe! I would definitely come back and stay here again :)

Clean and comfortable room with friendly staff.
Complimentary breakfast had a good selection.
Within walking distance to downtown.
Cheaper bike rental and bikes in good condition.
Only downside is no fridge or microwave in our room.
The grounds were beautifully covered in flowers.

The service at Harbour View was excellent, from porters to desk staff to breakfast attendants. Not a frown among them.

The rooms are satisfactory, but not flashy. Very clean and well maintained, albeit a bit dated. Comfortable and homey is an apt description.

The location is good. Just out of the main hustle of downtown. A pleasant walk with nice coffee shops and dining options nearby.

We will stay here again.

We really enjoyed the location! It was a short 5 minute walk from the hustle of the downtown area. Rooms were clean and hotel well maintained. Renting the bikes at the hotel was a good savings and convenience. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. They are very accomodating. The Garden view was amazing. Very serene and beautiful. The flowers and the cool breeze made it very relaxing. My family and friends just love Harbour View Inn.

Great location as you're within a 5 min walk of downtown. Great staff. Nice breakfast. Clean room. Beautiful and well maintained garden. Nice view of the lake. They provide bikes at a cheaper price to hotel guests. If I come back, I'm definitely staying here again!

Perfect location 1/2 mile from the ferry. Rooms very comfy and staff very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was varied and perfect for varied diets. We appreciated everything about the Harbour View Inn!

Beautiful place. Great location-walkimg distance to everything. Very friendly staff- everyone was willing to stop and give advice or suggestions concerning the area. Extremely clean. Very quiet stay which was much appreciated. Will definitely visit again.

The Harbor View Inn is a very good hotel to stay in on Mackinac Island. Rooms are nicely appointed. Breakfast has a good selection. They provide rental bikes at a very affordable price.
About a five minute walk to the shopping area.

Quiet, clean, comfortable guest room with an amazing view. Simple, yet ample continental breakfast. No coffee maker in room, but coffee/tea is available in lobby. Also no refrigerator or microwave in the room, but a refrigerator is available upon request at the front desk. They have comfortable riding bikes available for rent at the front desk and the hotel is located next to St. Ann's Church which is an easy walk to the downtown area, yet distant enough to be away from the noise and bustle. Have stayed at this hotel before and hope to stay again in the future.
