Abiding Word Church

This is my home church! You will always feel like one of the family. This church has wonderful Spirit filled worship and a Pastor who preaches the word with wisdom. My wife always had a hard time understanding Sunday messages before we came here, but Pastor Scott makes the bible applicable to everyday life and godliness. Also, there is a children and teens ministry as well as a nursery. God bless!

This church is amazing. First time I attended, I could feel God's presence and the feeling of peace. The pastor's are very loving and caring 💕 I'm dealing with a lot of sadness and stress in my life and I truly believe that God brought me to this church.

My family and I have attend Abiding Word Church for over 10 years and this church is family. There are always fun events for kids and youth. Our pastors are amazing, they make learning and grow with God easy. Each weekend is like a boost for the entire week.

I love this church. My husband is a travel tech. We were in sterling for 7 months. I went as a visitor once and I immediately fell in love with the church. I felt so welcome and at home by everyone. I've been to many churches especially when I travel with my husband. I have to say abiding word is by far my favorite. They have the absolute best kids program. And do an excellent job on breaking the bible down for each age group. As much as this Texas girl hates the cold. I wish I lived in sterling just so I could still have this church family. I truly miss everything about this church and all the people that make the church truly amazing.

I moved to Dixon December 2019, Sterling is 20 minutes from my house.
We were looking for a church to go during the week bacause our church is in Aurora on Sunday, me and my family feel welcome the first time we attended, but if the Lord respond my prayers I'll difenely go to this church.
Pastor is so friendly, plus great worship music.

Abiding Word as been a huge help to my growth in God. We (my parents and siblings) started attending in summer of 2019. I started helping in ministry after a while of attending and have been doing ever since. Before coming to Abiding Word I went to a church in Freeport for 18 years and was a little sad we left but now super excited for what I have learned. I have also got into a few groups with the church the wake up girl conference (which happens once a year), a wake up girl and move, as well as a young adults bible study (for 18-30 year-olds), and I was apart of cookie bombing (we went to Walmart and “handed” out cookies. There are many other groups that anyone can get involved in. Also when we (my parents and siblings) first came everyone so was so nice and welcoming. If there are questions about what is going on at the church or activities that are going on guest services or calling the church would be glad to answer your questions. There are many activities that are going on all week long.

This is a great church. Very friendly. They have a modern form of service.

This is a wonderful church community of kind, caring people. It is a very warm and friendly environment, having excellent Bible-based teaching and a great outreach program.
