Mead's Bike Shop

Great place to go for your bike needs. The prices are reasonable. The service is great, even noting when I was there to buy gloves for my wife, that they tend to run a little small. While the selection of panniers is limited, it was helpful to see a few options in person. Mead's has been around for a while now, and it's clear why.

Above and beyond customer service. Purchased a Townie, Bontrager helmet, lock and rear rack. Peter was awesome! He was very patient as a tried every possible helmet they have there, looking for the perfect size. I drove from Evanston to here, it was very much worth the drive. Highly recommend. My bike is perfect!

It's an impressive store with ample parking in the back. The staff is very friendly and willing to listen and help. They located a bike that fit my needs at another Mead's location and had it at the shop in just a few days. Everyone was very friendly and quick to set the bike up with added accessories. Be sure to check them out for your bike needs.

I purchased my new and first gravel bike(Checkpoint) there several years ago. Bryce did a great job of getting me all set up. I always return there for periodic tune-ups. Then do a great job: their service dept. always is very helpful. Finally, they have a good supply of gear, including some tops stamped with the Meads logo/name.

Fast friendly knowledgeable group of individuals with a Great vibe! Wonderful experience buying your next bike or just popping in to pick out your next cool outfit.

Fantastic turnaround on bike maintenance. Amazing customer service and informative staff. In my opinion, they have the best shop in the area. I highly recommend this shop for anyone looking to purchase a great bike and keep their investment in top shape.

Everyone was very helpful and friendly. They fixed my daughter's bike in a timely manner. There was a great selection of bikes and accessories that piqued my interest.

Meads Bikes for great customer service & fantastic, knowledgeable repairs. I will never take my bike anywhere else! I'd been riding her for two years, with multiple issues, got a flat just last week, took her to Meads and they had her repaired in very little time. But now my gears shift smoothly, my tires feel perfectly inflated and they even tightened the stand, how great is that!!?? Love this place.....now to find a way to buy one of those super cool Marlins....lol

I went in to see if they could fill my tires with sealant after one of my tires went flat the day before a bike race. They took care of everything and I was able to race. I appreciate the employees' willingness to help and expertise.

I walked in the store to buy 2 bikes for my brother and I, and I was promptly greeted by a friendly gentleman named Sam! He helped me find the perfect bikes and gear for what we needed and we rode 15 miles on the trails the same night and had a blast! The Performance of the Trek Marlin 6 is incredible. Thanks again Sam and Meads!

Always get great service from Mead's Bike Shop. We've been going to Bryce for all of our cycling needs for years and plan to continue doing so for many more.

Mead’s tuned up my bike and it’s better than new. I went for a ride and didn’t know the bike could be so silent. They took the time to show me the parts they replaced and why.

They had want I needed.Very nice atmosphere and great help.Also a very nice bike shop.1st time there.If I need anything else I'll definitely go back.

I wish I had a bike shop like this around when I first got into cycling! I just moved to Sterling and stopped in for some lube. They were running a special on tuneups for spring. The staff were all very knowledgeable and so friendly! A great bike shop for anyone who is thinking about getting into cycling or for more experienced riders too. Great job!

I have since been back to get set up with a bike fit adjustment and spring service. Again, my r has been top notch. I appreciate knowing there is a bike shop close by that has the expertise to service my investment but also provides excellence in customer service. Thank you!

I have now purchased two bikes this summer from Mead’s (one for me and one for my granddaughter) and have had a 90 day checkup. Each time I walk into one of the stores (Sterling or Rockford) I am greeted and made to feel welcomed immediately. The stores are immaculate and well laid out with well stocked inventory (even with supply shortages that still exist). All staff is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable and have helped me get the right products to fit my needs. I would recommend this store to everyone I speak to about biking, and will no doubt continue to support them. Thank you!

Mead's Bike Shop has been doing maintenance on the Rock Falls Tourism rental bicycles for a few years now. Always thorough in service, done in a timely manner, and very helpful! Highly recommend them!

Had a bike fit with Bryce yesterday. Awesome guy with extensive knowledge of all things cycling! Cool shop with plenty of shiny things to “invest” in..
