For years, I drove by the Dillon home, and never even knew that you could take a tour of it… I finally got the chance to do so a couple of weeks ago and I was totally amazed by not only the tour guide Candance and her knowledge but also the interior design, outfits from the time period, and cool wall coverings/furniture. It’s like taking a step back in time and there’s so much to see in every direction you look. I love the historical facts that Candance provided and my son absolutely loved going on the steam train out back. My only suggestion is that patrons be allowed to take photos as I think the photos themselves would bring people here in droves to see this place which should be a national monument if it isn’t already. What I wouldn’t give to attend a roaring 20s party here like I did at the Crane Estates in Ipswich, Massachusetts.
If you haven’t checked out this gem of historical amazingness in your backyard, I would highly recommend it! P.S. as a business owner, I realize the incredible expense of taking credit cards, so I was grateful that we only had to pay five dollars because I know that cost would have been more if credit card processing fees were involved.

We had a wonderful visit today and it happened to be a free day! The guide is very welcoming and friendly. The house and grounds are in amazing shape, cool antiques inside that takes you back in time. This place is highly recommended if you are visiting town, there is also a steam engine train in the rear yard that is super cool as well.

The Christmas decorations were beautiful. Candace , the curator, was fabulous. The house is rich in history. The fees are very reasonable. Worth the trip!

My husband and I went on the house tour and we were shown around by the curator Erin. She was the absolute BEST guide. She was so fun and knowledgeable! I honestly can't wait to go back!

My wife and I stopped for a visit today. The architecture and mouldings are remarkable. Hard to believe everything has remained unchanged for so many years. The young lady giving tour was very knowledgeable about the family and home as well as the business of family. Definitely worth the stop. Would like to go back in the spring or summer . Keep the clock wound up 😉

I delivered papers to the Dillons as a kid in the early 70's. This was before it was turned into a museum. I was invited in many times. During the winter, they'd invite me in for cocoa. The place looks the same today as it did back then.

The house is so awesome and the curator is amazing. Second time we have been at the house, bringing friends. Everyone was blown away by the home, and every question was answered by our young lady guide. This lady knows her stuff, and she has spent time with he family to get to know more about the m and their lives in the house. A great experience in a great setting. Thank you!

My family had a great time. We toured with a gentleman originally from the area that had come back to visit, so he enhanced the tour with information. The guide was new but did a great job. It was a good mix of history, design, and development of a company so everyone had something of interest.

Really cool, interesting piece of history located right in the heart of Stirling. The outside doesn't show the wealth and the level of upkeep maintained inside. Recommend going the the summer first, or during the Christmas decorations period
