Johnny's Bar & Grill

The Johnny's Special pizza is my city wide favorite. Definitely give it a go. The crust is great with areas of slight char... Good stuff.

Didn't want to cook tonight so we tried out Johnnys and OH. MY. GOD. We ordered wings and gyro pizza and will most definitely not be going anywhere else for pizza. Whoever recommends Angelo's over this place as the best pizza in the area either has never had Johnny's or just has poor taste. 10/10. Can't wait to try everything on the menu

Food is good. I would recommend the cheeseburger or taco bowl. The battered fries are not a favorite of mine. Service and atmosphere are too notch. We enjoy seeing Ken, Megan, Jordan and Serena.

First time at Johnnie's was great. Service was spot on as was the fun environment. The food... was amazing and unique. The gyro pizza was fantastic- even if it sounds intimidating, it was delicious. The BBQ Chicken was also very good.

Went to Johnny’s twice in the three days I was in the Sterling/Rock Falls area. The first time I went there were some older gentleman at the bar who assumed I was picking up a DoorDash order, which is ironic because I DoorDash back home, but I of course told the bartenders I wasn’t there for that, I was there as a customer. I tried a Cherry Bomb Blonde for the first time, and after that time that just became my go to beer. Also I’ve never had cherries in my beer before so that was new too. They had plenty of food and drink choices and I was definitely full afterwards so got my money’s worth of food for sure. They were playing a bunch of classic hits in there as well so that was a nice touch for me personally. All in all, a nice chill place that I would go back to again whenever I’m in the area.

I actually didn't get to try the food, but it smelled fantastic when we walked in.

My wife and I order food from Johnny’s a lot. I get the shrimp basket and she gets the tacos and every time the food is ON POINT! The cheese stick are the best I have ever had.

I lead a pretty dull life - I don't go out much. However, when I do, Johnny's Bar & Grill is one of my favorites. The food and service are great. The prices are very reasonable. The staff all the way from Johnny down to the wait staff are concerned, friendly, and devoted to their customers. The place is very family friendly. The atmosphere is great. I can't think of a single deficiency. I would also note that when Johnny took over this place, it was a real "s...hole" and a place where drugs and a sketchy clientele made the place a problem. Johnny came in and cleaned the place up. Johnny's friendly demeanor and everything else make this a definite destination!

Honestly great service! There were no spots at the bar so we sat at a table and got served our drinks right away. When she came back there was an open spot at the bar and we asked and immediately she took us up there! Amazing service and food!!

Great food, awesome pizza delicious wings. Only place in town that still has broccoli bites too. The only scruple I could have is if you get soft drinks, they charge for refills.

So anymore I get water for a beverage, because the food's too good to pass up.

This bar and restaurant always makes me feel at home. People are friendly, food is great and the bar is well stocked.

Been here a few times. Never had bad food. Service is great even when servers don't show up. Management steps in and makes it work! Try it you won't regret it.

The BEST pizza ever!! Fresh ingredients baked to perfection every single time, the Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches are out of this world......phenomenal food, friendly staff, and owners are great people! We will be back for more!!

I moved to Dixon from the Bronx 2 years ago, and my wife and I have been looking for a good pizza joint. My wife is first generation American (her mom was born and raised in Italy), and is super picky about her pizza. Johnny's has real deal NY style brick oven pizza, just like you'd get out of a good bodega in Brooklyn. If you want to know what people mean when they say NY style pizza, Johnny's is the only place in 50+ miles that can show you. Try it out, you won't be disappointed!

Amazing pizza, in my opinion, it is the best in Sterling.

Really nice bar and grill. Good service, even with a large birthday party happening and some chaos behind the bar we still had our food and drinks quickly

Awesome mom/pop bar & grill! Both food and drinks have great quality and prices and the bartenders have been known to try to make a drink of choice. Their pizza is on point, must have! If you've never tried this bar, stop in to see Johnny, he'll get you personally!
