This is a very long overdue review here! Y'all are hands down, fantastic. My sole repair/replacement on my 1,000 mile Wolverines a while back was so clean, well crafted and just 100%+ quality. Pekin Shoe Repair is the place to go, no need to look elsewhere. I have picked up my brothers boots here as well after repairs, as he tends to visit this spot any time he needs work. That would literally be when he came back to town on his visits from California, now visits from Tennessee. Quaint shop with history. Definitely no need to keep looking, stop on through here and I'm sure they could make a miracle happen!

The entire staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and truly care about their customers Their shop carries many brand names and their service is outstanding.

The owners here are super friendly and helpful Laura and Mark Over & their son Nick run this place and it's full of great cowboy boots, Red Wing Shoes & Wolverine & Carolina!

They work on all leather goods, zipper coats& purse repair and even luggage!
Easy parking and access on the street they have their own separate store- stand alone building- with nice advertising on W side of the building, easily identified.
I flew in from New Jersey and my luggage handle broke and they were able to take apart the suitcase and fix it and the only charge meet a few dollars.
Itt was amazing plus I even got to play with their dogs when I was there and added bonus.recommended highly!!

Great service from people who know what they are doing. Definitely my shoe store for life. They will fit you in the right pair of boots, check your foot size and recommended me a pair of insoles that have saved my back. Also put tough toes on a wore out pair of boots to extend the life even more! Great people! Great prices!

This place is FABULOUS. U.S. Marine needing edge dressing and this woman spent 20 minutes talking with me about edge dressings and shining boots. Love this place. And they are MASTERS with a sewing machine and leather. And shoes, boots, belts, etc. these places are getting harder and harder to find. Like an old school barber who knows what zero to three and high and tight mean.

Highly recommend this store. I had very great help in selecting a new work boot. She took the time to measure my foot and help me decide on what brand I would like. 5/5!

Hands down the very best, the staff is helpful and kind and the price is comparable to big stores . If you need work boots or any kind of repairs this is the only place you should be going!

I recently wanted to add a shoulder strap to an existing leather portfolio. On a recent Saturday I stopped and I had an idea but with the help of these great people. I left with what has worked out to be a great shoulder strap that is excellent for my daily usage.

Very friendly people. They do a very good job on repairs of shoes, purse straps, bowling bag/duffle bag zippers and it is done in a timely manner. Most of the time before the date they tell you! Highly recommend! Thank you!!!

Great service and awesome work. Nick resoled some boots for me and the work was impeccable. Turnaround time was about a week including time to ship the boots there and back. I will definitely be sending more boots in when it's time for a resole.

Excellent service and repairs, nothing too difficult. Really go out of their way to make sure you get the right boot for the job, and make it fit. Repairs on heavy winter coats and coveralls too. Can't recommend them highly enough.

The folks at Pekin Shoe Repair are top notch! I haven't been able to stump them yet in all the years I've gone there. They have sold me quality boots that last years not months. They have repaired leather items and ordered me things I wanted in special designs. Great place to do business.
