SIU Center For Family Medicine - Springfield

I'm not one to leave a ton of reviews, good or bad. However, I do feel as if exceptional customer service should be recognized. There was a discrepancy on course of action for my daughters school testing. One of the nurses, Francis, took the time to listen to and address my concerns, dig deep to find the cause of the discrepancy, reciprocate the information to the doctor, efficiently get my information, and FIX the issue at hand. Being first thing in the morning, I know I did not sound pleasant. She never got flustered, never got agitated, and helped me. Francis portrayed amazing patient care today. We need more people like her in the world (and medial field)

Very impressed with my personal doctor. Her name is Dr. Dunkley and she is fantastic.

Recovery specialist (Matt) is also fantastic! If you are afflicted by the disease of addiction clearing the fog from your mind and the pain from your bones is the First step for many before you! MAKE AN APPT YOU ARE SOOOOO WORTH IT!

I have only been a patient at siu family medicine for a couple of months, and I've been very impressed. The front staff have ranged from neutral to awesome. The nurses are personable and pleasant. The doctors I've seen are involved and invested in their patients. I never feel rushed, and feel like the doctor is listening to and addressing my every concern. As someone with a medical card, I've gotten used to substandard care over the years, but this place is not like that at all. I can see a doctor right away when I need one. I feel like I've finally gotten a place for health care that is as concerned for my health as I am. They were great with my kids too, giving referrals for their special needs.

Edited to add: I've since encountered some of the more unpleasant reception staff. I am not sure why people who don't like people get jobs as receptionists.

The building is clean and decorated nicely. The girls at the front desk are very nice and helpful. The doctors and their assistants go above and beyond for their patients. I've never had to wait a long time for my appointment and my refill requests are quickly taken care of.

My experience: my Dr. persisted in my fight against insurance denials. Over a period of months I was continously denied coverage for a life threatening illness. My claim was based on solid evidence - a biopsy result which showed aggressive treatment was imperative.

My doctor tenaciously filed appeal after appeal while the insurance company denied coverage. Some of the reasons for denial were obviously bogus, almost laughable if my health and future weren't involved. It took over four months to be approved. I wss overjoyed by our success. The care and concern of the staff were well beyond my expectations!

Pay no attention to the low, one, two star reviews. These ratings are based on bad attitudes of the patients. Much like the view that teachers are supposed to raise there kids, they expect doctors to correct their lifetime of personal neglect. If someone was rude or short with you, don't berate the entire establishment!

loved this doctors office. they took time to understand me & would emphasize with me. they were comforting and reassuring. very sweet, professional, caring doctors. & the cnas/ nurses are very sweet too. very clean and sanity. they’re in sync & have a good program running.

Love my Doctor. The wait can be long but I’d wait for days to see her see so sweet and i always leave well informed about any changes to my health!

Everyone is wonderful! Nurses are friendly and personable. Dr. Bauk is so good with my son. Fast in the mornings compared to afternoon, getting patients in and out.

The staff was friendly and professional, even during covid problems. They handled a disaster promptly as they could, and doctor dix was fantastic. Im happy to have them as my medical care.

I've had various doctors over the past 10 years, but I've seen the same PA for years. She's amazing!

Had been coming in for medical issue nurse that does vituals was super funny and dr rafi was super sweet listen to my views

Ability to make Telehealth appts. for my family during this pandemic...
