I live in Cape Girardeau and stop by and get minnows a couple times each summer and usually end up spending an hour or more visiting,very friendly and welcoming environment!
Awesome place to just relax and catch your breath!

Love it and love the hospitality! Kind and friendly atmosphere. Have all your bait needs, snacks, drinks and sandwiches. Come prepared to take a new cat or dog home with ya. They seem to always have one or two looking for a home. God Bless

Whatever your needs are for bait, this place has it. Fishing license, you can get them here. Ice, beer, wine, atm its here to. Friendly down home people with worms, minnows, and goldfish. Frozen shad & skipjack.

It’s not just a place for live bait, lures, food and drink. It, it’s also a nice place to stop and chat for a bit with the owner John.
John is a very friendly and charitable man who helps many people in the community.
Flat tire or small repairs are also services he provides for a very fair price.

The place is very modest, Everyone behind the counter including the owner Is friendly and has information it's the headquarters for fishing the Shawnee national forest
Minnows, Goldfish, Nightcrawlers, crickets, worms, terminal and essential tackle.
Reasonable prices.
The fishing information is key.

Great people run and own the place, name after previous owner, they decided to keep the name since Frank passed shortly after Mr Wanless bought the place. He has now added a service garage to help locals with minor auto issues.

The owner is very knowledgeable and polite and I would recommend stopping in if u need anything for fishing or some snacks ice-cream or cold drinks

Friend service. Cool old guys that's always there, maybe the owner but he is full of information. Asking him where is the best place to go fishing, this guys knows for sure!

Great little place in the middle of nowhere ,has pretty well anything you could think you might need for a day of fishing ,boating or hiking or camping lots of cold drinks and snacks along with a wide variety of fishing baits.
