Daphne Elementary School

Moving to LA (Lower Alabama) from out of state has been a difficult transition, but Daphne Elementary School (DES) has made our transition effortless. My children are now academically challenged and they couldn't be happier. They love the curriculum and everything that DES has to offer.

Mr. Bellmyer and Mrs. Scharwath are great teachers and I'm glad we are lucky enough to have them as role models for our munchkins. Class sizes are small, the new leader program is amazing, and when they say they truly understand that "one size does not fit all", they mean it! They even accommodated the school lunch menu to include vegetarian options for our child. My son loves using his iPad and my daughter has become very efficient at using her Chromebook. The only disappointment was that they do not offer Rosetta-Stone or dual language learning. Maybe this can be achieved in the near future.

Principal Ellis is doing an amazing job and DES truly looks out for their students! It doesn't go unnoticed, keep up the great work!!
