The. Bread. Is. Amazing!! We had King Cake french toast and an egg sandwich. These are two very different styles of food and both were exceptional. They are even affordable! The staff is friendly and helpful even though we came close to close, and the atmosphere is cosy and fun! What a great place!

Wonderful bakery and restaurant with the most delicious food! And the sweets are so delicious! The prices are amazing for the quality of the product. This is our family's absolute favorite place to go to get a bite to eat and some delicious treats afterwards. They also make excellent coffee and tea! If there's one spot you should stop by in Carbondale, it's Cristaudo's! Words don't do it justice! Try it for yourself and enjoy the bliss of food done right! The smile on his face says it all!

These are photos of our custom carrot cake order. The decor is beautiful, and incredibly detailed. The texture and flavor of the cake was outstanding.

The service was incredible as well. Picking up the cake, I was able to pull right up to the back doors of the bakery. It was professionally sealed in a sturdy, windowed box before one of the bakers brought it outside and carried to my vehicle for me. They let me look it over, and then took the time to find where to set it in my vehicle for the easiest and safest transportation.

5 stars. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. We’ll be back. We felt very taken care of.

As soon as my partner and I walked right in we loved how it looks! The atmosphere is comfy and welcoming. The employees are incredibly kind and helpful. The food is well made and incredible in taste. We'll definitely be coming back again!

Cristaudo's is a great treasure in Carbondale. Has live music on occasion. I went and it was a very energetic atmosphere. Has amazing food and coffee.

Has somewhat limited seating, for it being a smaller establishment. It was packed with people inside, and others waiting out the door!

Also has a gift shop.

We ordered a cake for a special occasion and it was perfect. Butterfluff icing was amazing! Texture and taste of cake and icing were delicious!

This is a local business to support! The folks at Cristaudos are always doing their part to help others both globally and locally. Besides all the good work they do for the community their food is amazing! Whether you're looking for breakfast or lunch, you'll find something outstanding here. Personal favorites are the chef salad, breakfast burrito, egg between sandwiches, chicken salad and ANY of their soups and specials are top notch. The bakery offers classic staples, such as decorative sugar cookies (or the classic pink cookie) chocolate chip, peanut butter, and a large array of others. Not to mention quiches, cheesecakes, brownies, cream horns, boo-boo bars-which you shouldn't miss and macarons! Do not overlook this Carbondale classic.

Not only does Cristaudo’s have THE BEST baked goods, but the atmosphere is so warm and inviting, they feature local art and handmade goods, they are socially conscious and are constantly supporting the local community, and they have a solid selection of vegan, vegetarian, and GF options. This is always my go-to!

Best cookies ever! Updated to add that the West African Peanut Stew (with chicken and topped with blackened tilapia) is absolutely DELICIOUS!

Big big fan of Cristaudo's! Can't beat the original pink sugar cookie. The new menu is delicious and according to Margie the veggie chili is divine.

Cristaudo's is who we used for our dessert bar.
Even before our tasting they were always So quick in answering our questions via email or phone call.
Our tasting was so relaxed and delicious.
When our day became closer we touched base to go over numbers and edited our initial quote based on their recommendation, which ended up being just about perfect.
Our desserts were delivered on time and our guests were pleased with the selection and taste.
We couldn't have asked for a better company to use for our big day❤

Decided to bring home lunch today.
Shared two sandwiches. We were not disappointed. Need to go more often.

Cristaudo's is another one of our Carbondale institutions. The famous pink cookie (and the cookie shaped like the state of Illinois, with the maroon dot showing where Carbondale is) are Cristaudo inventions. This location is one of many Cristaudo's has had in town over the decades. This particular space was once a gift shop, so this particular iteration of Cristaudo's also has an attached gift shop (6 Pence). It's a bakery/coffee shop/restaurant/good servant of and for the Carbondale community.

Happiest customer ever. I picked out a vegan cupcake, key lime cheesecake bar, a mango Bavarian donut, and a blueberry boo boo bar. 10/10.

Catered a huge event for our student group at SIU. The food was great and portions were large! They were very friendly and accommodating. They literally have the best desserts in town. :)

I love the Peaks, but this time they were peanut butter peaks so I couldn't have any. But the iced brownie was great. And the Chorizo Cheddar Quiche was amazing.

Relaxed atmosphere and good food! Vegan friendly (even though I didn't order vegan).

The baked treats here are always tasty. I'm a big fan of their doughnuts, canolis, and macarons. The iced chai latte I ordered today was pretty mid, but service is good and the local art they sell is lovely. They're involved with the community and are a very nice bakery.

Good people, cool bakery and excellent art work in the bathrooms. Kudos!
