Evergreen Park

One of my favorite places for family/ friends to gather, fishing, picnic, playground, pond you can't go wrong!

Cashier was unbelievably fast, friendly and professional! Happy day! The treats were great! Fresh and tasty especially after winning $250 on the slot machines and all I put in was $10, so technically $240!

Gorgeous, quiet park. Such a nice place to just sit in the sun and breathe.

I love this place. It’s close, lord of areas. Sometimes they even have painted rocks to find. All in all, nice park with a lake. Oh yeah, no swimming though!

As of Feb./Mar. 23 Evergreen Park has had a nice makeover. Cleaned up, roads and parking paved, upgraded equipment and bathrooms. Very nice place to relax in the car during a lunch break or take a walk. Fishing is also allowed, but no motorized boats allowed. Honestly a hidden gem on the south side of Carbondale.

Love the park. Was always nice, but it's extra nice now with all the upgrades the city has done. Great place to go for a walk, grill some burgers, go fishing or just watch the water.

Love to do yoga here!!! There's a nice little spring of running water. Great little place for those whom practice near water ways.

Overall, my experience at the zoo was excellent. I would highly recommend the zoo to anyone looking for a fun with family and educational day out.

Great place to fish, n hang out. Just bring a lot of bug spray cause your gonna need it.

Small playground near bathrooms and reservoir. Picnic area nearby. Playground has area for smaller children and a bigger apparatus for stronger kids.

We always enjoy the spaciousness of the park and ease of going for a walk anywhere we like. A small picnic by the lake is always a great idea. The option of rental via City of Carbondale for an event is perfect...church or reunions.
The last time we visited was the 3 day snow fall. We sled for hours two days in a row. My heart melts over the memories spent in Evergreen Park. #family #funtimes

Nice park for parties!!

Very neat and clean park with a huge lake. A lot of fisherman present. A sign notifies you the size limits of Largemouth Bass. Must be some great fishing here.

great and very spacious park. there are many separate shelters with picnic tables, as well as an extensive children's park, ball fields, and beautiful lakeside vantage points.

Pretty nice place to relax and fish or just take a lunch break if your in the area
