Kowaliga Restaurant

Always a great place to eat while on Lake Martin. One of the few places open year-round, so we visited for a late lunch in beautiful weather (85 degree in late Oct). Plenty of outside seating which is what we prefer. The pimento cheese and conecuh appetizer is the best.

First time eating here. We had the Conecuh Sausage with an in-house made Pimento Cheese platter for our appetizer and it was delicious! I'm not a Pimento Cheese fan but I would eat this one again! It also comes with Wickle Pickles, Saltine Crackers and Spicy Mustard.
I had the Sirloin Steak Sandwich with Onion Rings. It came with only two Onion Rings but they were the biggest Onion Rings I've ever had! My date had the Chicken Salad Sandwich with a side of Cole Slaw.
Everything we had was delicious! I don't think there's a bad seat anywhere and they have a huge deck you can eat on and watch the boats come into the dock or just ride by! Our waiter Will was fantastic!
Can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu!

Food was delicious! Service was great. I had the ribeye and couldn't believe how good it was.
I'd come back anytime I'm down that way!

We enjoyed being here at Kowaliga celebrating my twin nephew's 19th birthday! The food was awesome, it wasn't too crowded but the bar in the back at first was so bad but once the waitress sat us at our table, she made me one i could drink and was very good so kudos to our waitress for making our visit so nice and super fun!!!!! We will definitely be back!!!!!

Wow! The wife and I happened to be nearby in Dadeville. This is perhaps one of the best lunch dates ever. First the scenery is awesome. There is a beach area. There was a rocky area near the front corner and you could feed the fish and turtles.
The food was delicious and freshly prepared. Get there early as we were there just about 11:20 on a Sunday and we had to wait a few minutes to get an outside seat for lunch. Worth the wait! Waitress was very sweet and we had a great time. All the food was great not a complaint at all.

There really isn't much to do in this area of the country. Not a lot of big cities close by and things shut down early. I was traveling on business and the local people invited me to this place. It is located by Lake Martin which is beautiful. The food is reasonably priced and is decidedly Southern or at least what someone like me from Michigan would expect to be Southern. Everything was delicious. I had the blackened catfish. Another person in my party got a loaded baked sweet potato which was incredible. Definitely a nice place to spend the evening and take in the scenery.

We ate there on Father’s Day enroute to Cheaha State Park. The views were spectacular (table 212) with turtles, fish, ducks, and geese all swimming around. We had the stuffed sweet potato (DELICIOUS!, onion rings (huge), grilled shrimp (bland with zero grill marks, or grilled taste), Arnold Palmer with unsweetened tea (awesome), and house salads. Great place, great service, good food, and spectacular views. Highly recommended!

Love visiting this place. Beautiful Lake Martin, cool Kowaliga and Hank Williams stuff, great service and good food. I had The Cheesburger and it was great! I like how the fries are cooked and the tea is mighty fine.

As always our food was amazing. Our party ordered catfish, smoked chickensteak sandwich, cheese bites, charred onion dip and burgers. We recommend everything. The service amd atmosphere is always splendid.

It is hard to say a certain food, everything our group ordered was delicious. The shrimp melted in our mouths.

We all enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere. I had a Greek salad with chicken added and it was excellent. My husband had hamburger steak and gravy. He thought it was good but thought it should have come with rice.

Service was outstanding! Food was absolutely delicious!! It was my first experience there but they treated us like family. Definitely a place to go. You can get a table inside or hangout on the deck for outdoor seating.
They have a small "beach front" property and kids are welcomed to swim and play while you wait.
Busy times for dinner are usually around 5 - 7 and depending on the day it could possibly mean a 2hr wait. We had a pretty large group but managed to get seated fairly quickly which was surprising.
I highly recommend. If you are disappointed, it's probably because YOU'RE having a bad day! :)

Great relaxing place to sit and enjoy the sunset and have dinner. If the weather permits I recommend sitting outside and watching the lake and the boats passing by. The staff was friendly and quick to answer any request. Tonight that's why the catfish fillets and they were excellent. The prices were a little bit higher than I would pay in the city but considering the location it was worth the extra cost. Definitely recommend you come and try it if you're in the area

Good food, good prices, perfect lil spot we was kayaking & had lunch. Beautiful day on the lake!

They opened for dinner at 430 p.m., and there was already a line. We came by boat, and I would advise walking around to the regular entrance to get seated more quickly. It really wasn't a big problem, but we thought we were third in line, when really, we had to get in line behind those who came in the regular entrance. Maybe that's not what others experienced. Within 30 minutes, boats filled the docking spaces, and there were families waiting, playing cornhole and giant Jenga.

Our server was fantastic, and the food was delicious.

My husband and daughter chose the cheeseburger, which I claimed the local Wickles pickles. I had the shrimp po boy and mac and cheese. Wonderful. We enjoyed the perfect weather for our ride home.

Beautiful location. Laid back, family friendly restaurant accessible by land and water. Food is great and worth the wait. They stay busy.

Wonderful spot for dinner on the lake. Great food, kind staff and nice cold drinks. And the view is too notch. We came in by boat and it was a fantastic evening.

Had the jumbo loaded sweet potato. It was fabulous 👌 The atmosphere was great the view was beautiful, right on the water. The staff was super friendly and helpful!
