Great bartenders and great atmosphere...smoke frèe!!

I'm not sure what the previous review is about, but after reading it, I am very glad that person was not hired. I fear she may have tainted the atmosphere. I have been a regular patron at The BackRoads Bar since shortly after it opened. This has always been a great place to hang out with friends or family. It has the type of atmosphere that makes you feel like family. The bartenders have always been amazing and friendly. They are very knowledgeable about drinks, especially for a picky drinker, like myself. Renee can make you a drink you will love with no more instructions than giving her favors you like. She has never made me feel anything but welcome or missed if I stayed away too long. The owner is one of the kindest souls I have ever met and there is not much I would not do for him. I love this place this place so much, I myself became an employee there back in January and love working with Renee. It is a small place with small town people, all of which love to have fun. I have always recommended this place and will continue to. If you haven't been there, you are definitely missing out. It is sure to become one of your favorites as well.

This is the slice of Southern Illinois that makes you feel like you are family. Friendly attentive staff and a great crowd. Located in the heart of Buckner. This bar blows cheers out of the water!! Wonderful place great people and awesome atmosphere! Outside are is cozy with a fire pit! Definitely a great place to hang out!
