Food was awesome! We went with a larger group, and everyone left happy. We were a little nervous when we pulled up, front side of the building had boards on the windows, but glad we decided to check this spot out. Service was good and the deserts were amazing too. Hopefully they're remodeling the interior space, not sure how they keep the patio cool in the summer. We'll definitely be back, definitely bringing some friends.

Best kept secret in Lake Dallas! If you haven’t been, you are missing out! Rain or shine, they are ready to serve you!

Hidden gem of a restaurant/tavern. Was in the area and their Instagram food photos caught my eye. The service staff is amazing and very friendly. They are there when you need something but stay away when you need them to. Was able to walk in and get a seat quickly. Best part, they have dedicated motorcycle parking in back. The food belongs in a 5 star restaurant, but it's great to find a place to eat in normal street clothes. Ordered Chris's Favorite Pasta, Reuben's brother, and the creme brulee. We will be back

This food is amazing. We’ve been several times. Pre and post fire. I like the patio dining feel… but if you’re open for business… time to pressure wash the area is over. lol. 5 star food with 3 star prices. Definitely a best kept secret

Wow...this place is a hidden gem. Nice little restaurant/tavern. Food was excellent - I ordered the seafood platter - it came out piping hot, fresh and was very tasty...really outstanding. The seafood was not greasy at all and the portion size was perfect. I also had a couple of Deep Ellum IPAs which paired perfectly with the food. Staff was friendly and attentive. I'll be back - can't wait to try some of their other dishes. I went on a Tuesday night and it was not overly noisy either which was nice...some places can be too darn loud and this place wasn't. I plan to bring family here when they come to visit in a few weeks!

What a fun place. An enclosed patio, with food truck kitchen. I had stuffed chicken, my leftovers was enough for another full meal. Red wine pours, very generous. Servers very friendly.

Had the prime rib bowl for the second time this week. I love this place. I’ve supported them from day 1 and don’t regret a second of it. I’ve eaten here probably 40 times over the past couple years. I remember when they “re-branded” and shifted from a bar toward a full fledged restaurant (which was always the owner Chris’ dream) many of the locals pronounced them dead. Not So Fast........there turned out to be a much larger segment of the Lake Cities community that had been waiting for a local place like this that we could call “our own”. Great job Chris, Deb, Andrew, Danika and the rest of the staff. I live a half mile from this place and couldn’t be happier. You’ve got a customer and a friend for life. 💯

Very attractive little hole in the wall with awesome outdoor patio seating. The food was awesome! Ask about their brisket flautas! Shout out to Taylor for being super fun, personable, and an awesome waitress. Taylor made my first experience there perfect!

Just the coolest experience. We came on thanksgiving and they treated us like family. Just genuinely amazing people and their buffet was superb. Definitely will be regulars from now on.

Our 20th Anniversary Dinner was delicious! If you haven't been to Walters Tavern, get there! This is a hidden gem that you will keep coming back to, like we do.

We started off with our usual favorite Fried Green Tomatoes. These things are to die for! And we've tried our fair share of Fried Green Tomatoes. We usually also get the Portabella Mushrooms appetizer and take it home.
Mark had Steak Nachos (The steak was like buttah) and I had my favorite garlic pesto Angel Hair pasta with Blackened Shrimp. Honestly it's the only entree I ever order, because I love it so much. Mark has tried a variety of entrees and has enjoyed every single one.
We have never had a bad thing here.

This is my fav place to visit. We are from Oklahoma and Walters is a great place to visit. They have a large selection of ice cold beer. Plus they make really good mixed drinks as well. FOOD is fantastic. Every single item I’ve had is top notch. Not bar food but nice restaurant food. And the staff is always super friendly! We will be back.

So many different plates I've tried an all are absolutely delicious... Now there's specials every 1 to 2 weeks an plates are always on point delicious

I loved that they have a separate area for indoor smoking. The bar looks great & there is a separate bar in the smoking area. The food is great (not bar food) made by an actual chef. If you want a welcoming and relaxing place to go I recommend Walter's.

The food was great and our server was very personable and good to talk to. We had the prime rib bowl and the meatball bowl along with the fried green tomatoes and have no complaints about any of it, we would recommend it all.

The food and service was top notch! We had biscuits and gravy, pancakes and rum chata french toast. The only downside was it smelled like cigarettes due to a separate area that allows smoking.

Never had a bad meal and prices on some items are out of the locations league, but others are reasonable. If dining local, and not expecting a fancy location it's the place to go.

Hands down the best food in Texas the stuffed catfish is to die for ! We have eaten most of what’s on menu and it’s absolutely wonderful! The most friendly staff and most inviting atmosphere ever! Love this place

This is the best kept secret in town- amazing food comes out of this scratch kitchen disguised as a dive bar!
