Such a great gem in the heart of Temple for all train lovers! Everyone in our group enjoyed themselves while exploring the many things that this area has to offer. Can’t wait to come back and explore some more!

Like being brought back in time, it's a must see if you enjoy old buildings still in great condition. You can see out lines of sea shells in the walls. Interesting since Oklahoma is in the middle of the United States.

Loved this museum, museum itself is small and kids will not enjoy it much but it also gives you access to real steam engines and kids go bananas.

There is a lot to learn and do here! It's a real Amtrak station, so passengers really do arrive and depart here. The museum has lots of information to learn from.

The exterior has a large grassy space with picnic tables, gazebos, multiple playground spaces, stage area for live music, and a water fountain to run through.

It is a great space for families!

What a great way to spend a couple of hours. The TR&HM has an amazing, interactive, and well thought out museum fun for all ages. My boys, 10 & 12 had a blast it was hard to leave.

Outside you can check out the exterior of many train cars, but you can also go into an engine and a caboose.

And less than 100 yards away is an epic outdoor playground. You won't be disappointed with a visit to the TR&HM.

Took my kids here, first time for all of us coming to this museum. Very friendly people and atmosphere. Very helpful and my girls had a great time with the picture scavenger hunt while I enjoyed learning. Definitely recommend

I am a sucker for railroads and depots. I've been to a lot around this country, and this one would definitely be in my top 10. As well as Milton, FL and Llano, TX

We love this museum. They have a monthly family day and have fun things for the kiddos to do...and it's my favorite price, FREE!!!!! The awkward family photos exhibit is really cute and got lots of laughs...we will be back!! Thanks for making this place so fun.

The kids and I really enjoyed this and the food truck park is just a short walk from there with parks along the way for kids to play on.

We enjoyed so much our visit to this museum! There is so much to see and learn about trains and their history here in Texas. They have old trains outside and a kids area for them to play. Highly recommend to visit this museum if you visit Temple, Tx.

Cozy experience, a lil bit confusing for first timers but it was pretty nice and wasn't crowded at all. Great opportunities to look at the tower of the America's and Alamo dome if ur traveling at night

Beautifully preserved station with lovely displays upstairs. The admission fee is actually on the low side, making this a great stop when visiting Temple. Plan on at least 30 minutes.

I liked how the main building had different things to see including some of what you see below, model trains. Then there was the other building that was solely model trains. It was impressive to see. All the work, all the details, that go into the terrain and so forth. Those in the building solely of model trains you could tell really enjoyed talking about them. That made it an even better visit. There's also a gift shop I stopped in and got a keychain along with some postcards. A lot of various things to choose from.

It was an amazing museum to walk through and see history if trains as well as their rotation history display. Baseball was the theme when we went. The model train display was fantastic and the interactive area was fun too.

Definitely a cool train museum. By far, the best part is that giant steam locomotive.
If you're a train enthusiasts, you must eventually get to this museum.

I picked my father up at the Amtrack station and we toured the museum and grounds on the 22 of December. It was very nice.
