We take our dogs Diesel and Dixie here all the time. We travel alot, so they've become regulars. Always friendly staff and the dogs always seem to be well taken care of. We definitely appreciate them taking the dogs on very short notice these last couple of times.

Dr. Musgrave is outstanding in her field. Her care for our pups has been exceptional and we are so happy to have her as our Vet. You will NOT find anyone better than her!

We've taken all of our pets to VCA. They have always been polite, professional, and compassionate...and if we can get over the heartache of losing our mini dachshund "Noodle", we will go back to VCA with our new pet.

Kind staff and very good with animals. My Elton was super comfy and felt at ease. A staff was from my home town state and that's always nice for good communication and understanding. Passionate to their animals and clients and spent a long time on our little guy giving him more then enough attention.

We got our Adrian in October of last year and was referred to VCA Durant.
From the very beginning the staff has been and is wonderful and Adrian LOVES to go there!
It is very convenient ; medical care , grooming and even day care play time all in one place.
If I have a question about Adrian's care they listen.
Very nice folks and I highly recommend
See you on July 6 for Adrian's grooming!

We bring our dog to VCA Durant Road doggy daycare when I am traveling for work. Our dog is always excited to go inside the office, greet the staff, and play with the other dogs. Our dog comes home exhausted from her play time and usually takes a nap when we get home. We like seeing our dog on the Camp Durant Instagram page to see she had a good time.

When my almost 13 year old cat was diagnosed as hyperthyroid and was not tolerant of the oral medications prescribed for this my regular vet recommended radioactive iodine treatment. She referred me to an out of town vet that does the treatment. After doing some research I discovered that VCA Durant RD Animal Hospital offered the treatment closer to home and at a slightly lower cost. My regular vet continued to push me towards the out of town vet saying that she had had no experience with VCA. For financial and life related reasons (working full time with kids and aging parents) I decided to go against her recommendations and entrust my cats care to VCA. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Dr. Allen and all of the staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. Dr. Allen called me personally multiple times during my cats hospitalization to report on his progress. This all occurred a few months ago. My cat has regained the weight that he had lost due to being hyperthyroid and is as happy as ever.

Love this place! They have treated my dog and grand pups with love and compassion just like their own. Dr. Musgraves was wonderful when the inevitable came and I had to put my best friend down at 15. They were very compassionate and gave us time every moment.
My grand pup loves doggy daycare we can can see how happy he is via social media!
Everyone is kind and friendly! I know they care as much as we do about our furry family members!

This is a great place to bring your pets! Our dog Luna loves coming to Doggie Daycare and boarding and we know she is well loved and while in their care! The entire staff, from check in, to the techs, to the vets are really dedicated to making sure your pet is well cared for!

Our daughter is in Raleigh from California for the Holidays. A day after arriving, one of her dogs began to limp excessively. Going online, our daughter was able to make an appointment for the next day.

We arrived at 4:15 for a 4:30 appointment. We were greeted by Katherine, a medical technician, immediately upon reaching the reception desk. Katherine quickly took some basic information and took us to an exam room. Once in the room, Katherine spent about 15 minutes getting a detailed history of the injury, our dog's health and a list of all our questions for the doctor. Katherine was great! Kind, no pressure, easily to speak to, and compassionate. One of the best intakes we've ever had with our animals.

Katherine went to the back room to relay this information to our veterinarian for the day, DR. Sarah Trimarchi (who is new to the practice). Within just a few minutes, Dr. Trimarchi came in to perform her examination. Dr. Trimarchi was fully prepared having spoken with Katherine and having already read the notes from our dog's California file. Dr. Trimarchi was not only efficient, but she was articulate, kind and gentle with our dog. He can get tense during vet visits, but he remained calm and relaxed throughout the visit.

Within a few minutes, Dr. Trimarchi suspected our dog had torn his CCL. She presented various options and guidance. We decided to opt for a more detailed sedated x-ray series and examination.

The office scheduled the testing for the very next morning.... first appointment. The entire office was wonderful. Again, they made our dog very comfortable and relaxed.

As promised, Dr. Trimarchi called as soon as our dog was out of sedation and as soon as she had an accurate diagnosis... yes a torn CCL. Dr. Trimarchi spent 20 minutes on the phone with us regarding the diagnosis, how she reached her conclusion, impact of the tear and each available option and the benefit/cons of each. She answered all our questions without making us feel rushed or foolish in any way. Knowing our dog was a California resident, she tailored her treatment accordingly and worked to help us find and schedule a surgeon in California.... looking up appropriate facilities in California, getting the medical records to them quickly and the like. She also prescribed medications and a treatment plan for here in NC so our daughter could remain for the Holidays and so the dog could be comfortable and safe during the visit.

A long detail of our experience with VCA Durant Road, but this was to show how truly exceptional they are. The very best care, without unnecessary testing or pressure and all with multiple options suggested and guidance on each. They made us feel like they really care and not just like a means to make money.

We really enjoyed our visit with this veterinarian and her staff. Obviously, we had hoped for a better diagnosis, but we know we received the best possible care in the nicest way!! They are good people and good medical experts and I highly recommend this team!!

I am so happy to have found VCA. Their prices are affordable, their payment plan is reasonable, and the service is exceptional. When we had to put our dog of 14 years down, VCA took care of the process from start to finish and even sent us a handwritten note from Dr. Allen offering their condolences. I will recommend to anyone who wants stellar service for their fur baby!

Super pleased with our experience at this animal hospital! The staff was very friendly (both the front desk staff and the vet techs) and welcoming. The vet was really great about explaining various parts of our dog's exam and results, and offered practical advice/solutions for us. The office carried the medications we needed, saving me a trip to the pharmacy!
The communication level has been spot-on. Email reminders and the occasional phone call ... and when our dog was sick, her vet called several times that week to check up on her. We plan to continue bringing her to this location.

Oh boy, where to begin. Perhaps with how many times these wonderful people have taken my dog mom craziness in stride, to gracefully dealing with me constantly making my lateness also their problem, or how about my usual angel of a dog turning into a complete demon when it comes to a nail trim. I’ve gone the full gambit with this daycare ranging from my dog going every single workday to once or twice a week. In all instances, these ladies (and gentleman) have taken wonderful care of my dog always checking on him or following up with a concern that I asked about at drop off. I can’t think of a better place to leave him during work knowing he is being taken care of just as well as he would be at home.

Now that we are passed the sappy part let’s get down to the details. Anyone that has done any shopping around for a doggy care in the Raleigh area is aware of how expensive it is from a top end of $30.00 per day to about $23.00ish before any pass purchases. As mentioned before I bring my dog (Dexter) quite a bit so I purchase a large pass which brings the price down to 15.00 per day, which is amazing! I have toured the daycare twice and in both instances, I am still thrilled with how everything is arranged. No small home crates here, large kennels floor to ceiling so your dog has enough room to stretch out during nap time and get comfortable, not having to worry about them breaking out if they are an escape artists. The best part in the Raleigh area in particular is the multiple large outdoor areas, not something you see all the time. As I have a bird happy dog it was very important for me that he was not kept inside all day every day at daycare and at home. Here at his second home he can enjoy being outside with the birds or be inside when he just wants to play.

I love them, Dexter loves them, and if you bring your dog I believe they will love it here too.

Dr. Musgrave is a fantastic provider. We have only had great experiences with everyone at VCA Durant, but Dr. Musgrave especially is a special human and wonderful veterinarian who always takes fantastic care of our pets and eases our concerns.

Excellent group! They sent us a sympathy card after our beloved Reed passed away, which the whole staff signed and related personal stories about our dog. It brought smiles to our faces along with a few tears. We wouldn't go anyplace else in Raleigh.

I love VCA I have been coming here for years. The staff is wonderful, Dr. Allen is a kind and loving doctor. The first baby I brought here was Yukon Jack he was with us 18 years. Our second baby was Peewee, he left us at 10 years old. Here we go again Savannah Girl, she loves going to day care and loves all the staff. So if you love your children as much as we do, be sure to visit VCA Durant Road Animal Hospital.
