Once Upon A Child

We had a wonderful time shopping at Once Upon A Child. I was with my mother and she just could not stop shopping. Amazing prices in discounts. We literally walked out the store and then she turned back around to shop again.🤦🏾‍♀ We had a awesome cashier. He was very patient and kind. He understood and could relate because his mom is the same way. ❤ Love to shop and putting outfits together... We'll be returning very soon. Thank you so much.🥰

Great place to quickly find right size used kids clothing up to size 12-14. Especially nice for finding lots for younger children. Everything is neatly hung and placed by size and gender. Just look over carefully for stains… as clothing is used. Prices are good too especially in this economy. A few in not so nice condition priced higher due to name brand I’m suspect. I prefer clean and well made as opposed to name brands. Great store to shop for young kids. And I haven’t sold any clothing but I know others who say they were pleased with prices the store paid.
Employees are nice. Did not know it was under new ownership till I read another person’s review.

crystal was so incredibly kind and helpful the other night! when i first walked in, i asked her questions about my points/rewards and she explained everything to me throughly. then when i was ready to check out, she was so patient and sweet while she rang up all of my purchases. i actually thought she was one of the managers because of the way she treated me, and i was surprised when she told me she wasn’t. she honestly should be! as cliche as this sounds, please give her a raise/promotion/etc - she truly deserves it! ❤

If you want to rack up on deals then visit this place.
A great selection of clothing. I love that they organize them so well and even group the holiday clothes together. There's also baby/toddler toys, (new) teething toys and utensil sets.
*If you are looking for the Baby Merlin sleep suit, there were 3 in store at an incredible price compared to what they cost new.

This franchise and store was just purchased and is under new ownership as of a couple months ago (approximately July 2023)! They had a grand re-opening event and the new owners are just wonderful! My recommendation is to give this delightful hidden gem a visit if you are in need of gently used or new clothes that are incredibly cute and affordable!!

My oldest is 12 and she organized a tote with some clothes she had grown out of - not many pieces - and still got $31 to spend on some really cute things there! She was so happy and it was an all around really great experience!

There are toys and baby/toddler items as well so come and get birthday presents and baby needs! There are BOB strollers and other really high end brands at prices I genuinely cannot believe!

Go see the new owners, the super sweet employees and enjoy the really great new Once Upon a Child in Raleigh!!!

I love how neat and organized all the clothes here are, and they are not overpriced for used clothing. Plus all the staff are friendly, it makes for an easy clothes shopping trip.

My go to place for outfits for my kids. I love the holiday outfits, shoes, and selection to choose from! The sales are unbelievable as well!

Been shopping here since I first found out I was pregnant. Absolutely love this store and it helped me check some things off my registry for a fraction of the price!

New management made all the difference!!! I stopped shopping at this location a while ago because of the poor customer service. Previously I've seen employees walk out, employees bad mouthing other employees in front of customers and the employees extremely rude to their own customers.

I had clothes to sell and thought I'd give them another try. So glad I did!! Employees were kind and helpful when I called the store and were very nice whejninarrived as well. The staff seemed to be happy working there and I hope it continues that way 😀

Once Upon a Child in Raleigh has new ownership and it absolutely shows! They are welcoming and accommodating for gently used items. Highly recommend for buying or selling - this is the store to visit. Kuddos to the new owners for ALL the improvements made recently. You Rock!!

I love the quality of the used clothing. No stains or rips or bad quality! Always organized and friendly staff.

Since they are under new ownership now and responded to my previous review, I would love to give it another chance since I enjoyed shopping there before. I stopped after my last experience. Look forward to visiting under the new ownership. I appreciate the effort to already improve customer service so I changed the review rating :)

I never write negative reviews but I have to on this one. I read the reviews before I came but decided to go take some of my super nice children’s clothes to sell. Took a full plastic tote that was clean and folded neatly, like they said they wanted. Even included a few pair of brand new baby shoes. Got there before they opened and after 2.5 hours I get a text that they are done. They rejected everything. Employees/cashiers were nice and I know they were just relaying the message from whoever made the decision. That’s the only nice thing I can say. Apparently my laundry detergent didn’t smell good enough for them. This was a complete waste of the one day I have off as a working mother. I’m only posting this to warn others so they don’t waste their time like I did. I liked shopping here but I will never go back. I can agree with the low rating for sure.

We love shopping at the Raleigh location. Their commitment to excellence and community involvement are apparent. These are the types of businesses we need in our community.

This was my first time with the ‘Once Upon a Child’ Raleigh location. I won't lie I was a bit skeptical looking at the negative reviews... I'm sorry for all the negative reviews here but for me, it was the smoothest process ever! I did call ahead to make sure how they want the clothes to be etc. I did sort them and put everything in the plastic bin, dropped, and within 2 hrs or so I was called to collect my bin and returned clothing items... All in all, I had a great experience, oh the staff was polite as well!

This store has a friendly and helpful staff. It is clean and well stocked with quality bargains.
