Island Hoppers Bicycle Products

We were part of the SBI Three Bridges tour today. I ended up with a flat tire and Island Hoppers came to my rescue and replaced my tire and tube and sent me on my way to finish the the ride. The rest of the race went smoothly.. I will be taking my bike there for any repairs, tune ups etc. in the future.

My wife and I have hybrid bikes that we ride almost everyday. We left them at Island Hoppers for a much needed tuneup. The work was completed and I picked up the bikes in a couple of days.
The bikes are great they ride like new!

Steve and Cartier always do a great job and take good care of whatever my bike needs are. They are usually able to get me in and out very quickly with minor adjustments and have also provided great service and prices on tune-ups and other parts that needed replacement. I would highly recommend Island Hoppers to anyone visiting or living in the area!

We got to the beach and realized the frame of my sons bike had slipped off the axle. We stopped by the shop and we’re greeted with professionalism and kindness from first word to last. The repair was made quickly and tires topped off with air so we didn’t have to worry about it later.
This is the second year in a row we have needed a quick bike repair both times Island Hopper and staff have gone above any beyond.

I have used Island Hopper Bike Shop, for bike rentals during our vacation for several years. They are dependable, deliver bikes, and bikes are in top notch condition. The owner is professional and easy to work with. A+++

Islander Hoppers Bicycle Products at 570 Meadow Summit Dr Suite 7 in Ocean isle NC is an awesome place. Sales, service parts, you name, they do it. Located off of Rt #904 between Rt #17 and Rt #179. Look for their sign on 904. IHBP sells a brand of Bikes called Sun Bikes. They are perfect for your any and all beach experience. Easy to maintain and durable looking as well. I took an older bike in to get some work done. In two days I got it back and it's fine. My bike will need a seat and they have them to sell. However, IHBP recommended that I try eBay. That one action tells you that they look out for you and your dollar. I thought I was going to need tires and tubes. But, they advised the tires were still in good shape so they just replaced the tubes. They are a local business in the lower end of Brunswick county. Not far from Sunset Beach or Holden Beach. Stop by and see them and support a local business. So I'm back again to get a service on my bike. The staff's attention to detail and fixing things right is amazing. What I enjoy is the fact they will text you a photo of the repair that you need or what additional repairs are needed. I will sum this comment up with this. They fixed my bike so well the first time a couple of years ago that I truly enjoyed bike riding again. Thanks guys for another job well done.

I was foolish enough to shop online for a new helmet instead of making the drive out to OIB to Island Hoppers. I had to return what I purchased online and took the drive. I should have known it was the place to go after buying 4 bikes there but I was lazy and I paid for it. Good a great helmet at a great price with great service. Got biking needs....Go. There.

Great experience all around. I needed some specialized configuration changes to my bike. The folks at Island Hoppers were quick and friendly. They took the time to fit the bike and also made sure I could make any future adjustments. First rate customer service.

Amazing staff! I was given realistic expectations for when my repair would be done (given their busy schedule) and was happy to have my bike in the best condition it’s been in since I bought it. I definitely recommend stopping by this shop for all your repair needs- or if you need help finding the perfect bike. (And the guy who fixed my bike was super cute)

As a small business owner myself, I prefer supporting our local small businesses if possible. My wife and I have purchased three new bikes (2 cruisers and a road bike) from Island Hoppers over the last four or five years. We have received nothing but the best of service from Steve, Chris, and Cartier. These guys are friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive to our biking needs. They have an impressive selection of bikes in a wide variety of colors, styles, and models to choose from and their repair work and turn around time is top-notch. So if you need some new tires and a chain for your old clunker or are in the mood for a new ride than give these guys a ring.

I am so elated about not only the outstanding customer service I received when I took my old girl to get a tune up and new tires, she hasn’t ever ridden this well! They were actually able to expedite the service, as I had to leave town on short notice. Cartier was very friendly, and I ended up paying less than I was quoted. I forgot to buy a tshirt to rep the shop, but I’m hoping I will be able to come for another visit soon! I highly recommend getting serviced at this shop. Cartier adjusted my brake handles to better suit my carpal tunnel before I left. Keep up the great work guys!

After reading the reviews of the local bicycle shop I decided to travel a little further to Island Hoppers Bicycles to have my tires looked at. They met me as soon as I walked in, took my tires and had me out the door in 30 minutes. Employees were very friendly, knowledgeable and explained what they needed to do to address the problem. Very reasonably prices and I would highly recommend.

I took my bike out of storage after two or three years and I took it on Friday for a check up. Mr. Steve examined the bike on the spot. There was nothing wrong w it except for air missing from the tires. He offered some ideas how to upgrade and then he said I should try first to see how much I use. He also came outside to look at my car to see what bike rack would be appropriate. Gave me a bunch of options and he said again, why don’t you look to see how much you take the bike out. I thought here is a person who is truly honest and not just trying to sell me everything. I picked up my bike on Monday ready to go. I really wanted a basket and a new helmet. Mr. Steve was very helpful and pointed me to exactly what I needed. (I love my new helmet!!!) Then they hooked up the basket while we chatted in the back. I told them the bike was passed down to me by my father and they truly took that into consideration and made my bike look great!

Fantastic service is what you should expect from small local businesses, and that’s exactly what you’ll get when you visit here. I looked them up on google and noticed that in addition to the bike rentals, they also do repairs. The place where we were staying had free bikes to ride, but the absentee owner must not have realized one of the bikes had a bad tube, so I was looking for a repair shop and found island hoppers. After taking the bike in, I decided to go ahead and rent a bike anyway, just so we wouldn’t have to wait, and told them to do the repair also. They set that up for me, and had the repair done just after lunch that same day, so we were able to get some riding in one day, and have the other bike back for the next days ride. In addition to the service, the people that helped us were super nice all the way. Even though there were bike rental places that were literally right across the street from us, I don’t regret driving the extra miles to visit island hoppers. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back when we are in the area again. Thanks to all the good folks at island hoppers that helped make our stay a memorable one.

Mr. Steve is very straightforward, helpful and will not rip you off whatsoever. His service was well beyond any expectations. I've taken three different bicycles in to Island Hoppers between two vacations to Sunset Beach. Each bike was repaired in a timely manner and they didn't overcharge me - in fact, they were extremely fair in that regard.
The biggest thing that I have noted each time going there is that these guys not only do a super job, but they love what they do.
If I could give higher than five stars I would.
