First off I visited this museum the same day that they had a festival there. This place really serves my interests because I like mechanical things and I enjoy the historic side of it. The day my son and I visited, there were demonstrations of various pieces of equipment. There were also vendors on site which offered additional demonstrations. If you share an interest in mechanic things then you'd probably enjoy this tour.

Fascinating walking through the machinery that powered the American Industrial Revolution. There are working machines here powered by belts, which is interesting. Exhibits are informative, if a bit long winded for some of the descriptions. I really enjoyed the model train exhibit too, which may have just been up for the holidays.

Interesting information on this topic. My husband really enjoyed our visit. I got some really cool industrial photos that I'll use for some projects I have in mind.

We had a wonderful tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and personable. The Blacksmith demonstration was also very good. We really enjoyed it.

Great place to learn and enjoy steam powered machines. The staff and volunteers were very courteous, knowledgeable & friendly. We drove almost 3hrs to the steam festival and was not disappointed.

It’s really a well preserved slice of American history. As we let more of our skills fade into the past and export our jobs and technology overseas for cheap labor, it’s important that places like this remain preserved to show future generations that people in this country were once able to manufacture and work iron.

We totally enjoyed our visit. 20 minutes late for the 930 tour they added several of us on and circled back for us at the end. Go for a tour time - 930, 11, and 130. Amazingly intact steam engine factory and foundry. Who knew they built steam engines until 1982!

Machines all work and there is live stream days the 1st weekend of Nov. Which we'd love to get to.

As a local I will recommend that you visit at least once. Do yourself, or your family a favor by putting the devices down and spend some time together by seeing for yourself how many things were once manufactured, the hard way. I believe the first weekend in every November is the Soule Steam Feed festival, go. See how steam once ruled the nation. They also hold the local Maker Faire here once a year and checking out all the neat inventions is a must.

This weekend was the makers fair. It was pretty good, they had a lot of booths setup for different things. This place has a lot of history behind it. If you have some free time. I highly recommend it .

Amazing history that you just won't see anymore amazingly preserved. Even cooler that it's all still kept operational and is shown off in working order. Don't miss the live steam festival which happens once a year during the first weekend in November.
