Great store and even better owner! Love how they raffle allocated bourbon and give everyone a chance to get some special bottles without driving all over tarnation. You may not win every time, but I'll take a George T Stagg for 110 any day! Thank you Marcia for being an asset to the Tampa Bay community!

Stopped in for the first time today. Even though a shipment of boxes came in Marcia stopped what she was doing and chatted with me about bourbon for a bit, even let me try some of their store picks. It was one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve ever had a liquor store.
They have a fantastic selection of bourbon and have a very fair system for how the handle their allocated bottles.
I love supporting local shops and this place is definitely going to get my support.

Jeremiah and Mark are so friendly and helpful. My friend and I came in (very close to closing time) with a lot of questions, and they both took the time to make very useful suggestions. We will definitely be back!

Hands down one of the best places to shop in Pinellas County. I live in Manatee County and only dream of having a store close to as awesome as this one! The selection is great and the best part, every price includes the tax in its shelf listing. No guessing what it might cost or trying to figure out if you have enough in your bourbon budget to grab that other bottle you liked too. There is no hidden gimmicks or strings attached to the allocated raffle either! You don’t even have to make a purchase to get entered into the drawing to get highly sought after bottles at retail! Want more chances to win? You get tickets for purchases also. That’s ALL purchases, not just the ole game of “buy 14 store picks to get a shot at this bottle at 2x retail instead of 4x”.
Now, that’s not to discredit the store picks either. Marcia and crew find some absolute BANGERS when they pick a barrel.
Don’t be fooled by bots leaving 1 star’s and others that get mad when they can’t simply clear the shelf of an allocated bottle and flip on secondary.
Shop with confidence at 1st Ave and make sure you say Hi to Marcia if she is there!!

Just moved here from RI and found this gem. We were browsing and Heather seemed a little new, but she was very friendly and helpful yesterday leading us find new tequila we had not yet tried. We will definitely be back.

This is such a killer store. Great barrel picks and selection, fun games and raffles to land allocated bottles, and an awesome owner who goes out of her way to impact the community in positive ways. If I could give 1st Ave more than 5 stars, I would.

Was vacationing in St Pete when my wife and I decided to stop by. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Jeff took time out of his day to show us the store, their bourbon selection and how they handle their allocated bottles. They have a very fair system for selling their allocated stuff! He then informed us of their sampling room and allowed us to try out a great number of bottles! I was like a kid in a candy shop!! Every liquor store should take notes of what 1st Ave Liquors is doing. Marcia, I didn't get to meet you which was a shame but I cannot thank you enough for what you're doing! You have a loyal customer for life and I'll be visiting again when I'm in town! Shout out to you and the whole team from Jacksonville!!

1st Ave is easily the best liquor store in the Bay area for bourbon. Just go see Marcia right away. She has the best selection, the best store picks, and the best pricing in town. She also has the best tastings. There is not enough I can say about the quality of service and product Marcia offers at 1st Ave Liquors.

Good selection and lottery system for rare bourbon.

Really cute store! The woodwork is beautiful and everyone that works there is really nice. Their selection is diverse and the prices are right on par with larger discount stores. Very convenient to anyone that lives downtown and they don't freak out if you have your pet and just want to run in for snack. They are very diligent about checking IDs especially when using a credit card.

If you love Bourbon.. this is the place to go.
Awesome staff and Marcia is amazing. Everyone's so helpful and knowledgeable. The tasting room is a nice touch in this gem of a liquor store. If you are ever in St Pete you should definitely stop in and check it out!

By far the most Harry Potter of all liquor stores. I always imagine that I am a lone traveling wizard that has come to a foreign land, and I stumble into this friendly hole in the wall to get a little dragon water. They will not be paid in goats, feathered fowl, or gnomes, which is sort of a shame. There selection of mystical mixers could use an enchantment spell, a little lack luster.
