Mel's Horse Buggy Rides

My family & I enjoyed going on Mel’s buggy ride. Jojo, the horse, was so calm and patient. I enjoyed Mel’s commentary with his funny corny jokes! Would highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our first Amish experience! Family of four, $10 per head. Just show up at the location and wait for the buggy to pick you up for a 20-30 minute ride. Mel was not feeling well, so his good friend Moses was working instead. What a treat he was! He patiently answered all of my questions and made us laugh. He is a special man & I hope you can meet him on your buggy ride.

Mel was very knowledgeable about the area. He was very witty and had some funny jokes and stories. We very much enjoyed our time with Mel and his horse Prince. We recommend Mel highly.

Our visit to the Amish Country also included an Amish Buggy ride with Mel and his horse Mack. It was such a treat. We even met some of his friends during the ride. Such a beautiful place and wonderful people. Thank you Mel! Cheryl from California and Barbara from Urbana.

We had an amazing time on our carriage tour of Amish country from Mel’s Horse Buggy. Our driver was very informative and it was nice to hear all about the Amish history and see some of the areas we have not been to yet. Our kids loves exploring so this was really nice to experience and enjoy the trip. Also they were amazed to see that the horses were healthy and happy. Our horse was so sweet ! It was a great addition to our list of things to do on our first trip to Sugarcreek- Amish County!

Mel is a gem! Took us on a ride and shared some Amish history, answering our questions. The horse, Mac, was amazing!

Last week we enjoyed our 2nd buggy ride with Mel and Mac this year! Mel is super friendly and just wonderful with my grandchild. . Next visit to Berlin, I will definitely call him!

This was an amazing experience. It was my husband and our two kids (7 and 9). The kids sat in front and my son who was sitting in the middle got to drive the buggy (which he cant3 stop talking about).

Mel was great and fantastic with our kids. He directed us to places to check out and we did and loved them.

We will be back again because now my daughter wants to drove the buggy.

Mel gives a wonderful ride through the country side of Berlin and is very informative! Also he taught us some dutch which made our trip even more fun! We Realy enjoyed the ride along with Mel's fun personality!

My daughter and I was walking around Berlin yesterday and stumbled across Melvin and Mack! We just started chatting and he asked if we would like to go on a ride My daughter loved it!! Mel answered all our questions and even taught my daughter some Dutch!

Mel is a great guy! We had so much fun and he let our 2 year old “drive” the buggy, which he loved. He is very personable and fun to talk to. Give him a call if you’re in town!

Really enjoyed this buggy ride. The driver was friendly and informative as he gave us small tour of Berlin. Kind of a hidden gem tucked away off the main road. Worth finding and experiencing.

We had a great experience! Mel was so nice. He let the kids sit up front, hold the reigns, feed and sit on the horse. The ride was enjoyable and fun. Definitely a must do!! We highly recommend. Be sure to call first to let him know you are on your way.

The girls enjoyed the ride just wish it was in county side not in the city

Very friendly. Cared about his horse and let the little ones gently touch and pet the horse "Mack" Will do it again when the grand kids come again.
