Johnstown Movieplex

This was not our first visit and certainly won't be our last. I can't speak highly enough about how well we were taken care of by the gentleman running the show. He was wonderful and made our evening that much better by his cheery disposition and his generosity. Thank you!

This is the best theater in the area. It has that classic movie theater feel, their popcorn is great. I love it!

Staff is always friendly. Prices are reasonable. Great date night place or a great place to bring your Auntie.

I went to the movies with my family tonight and had the best experience I’ve ever had there. Paige gave me some of the best customer service I’ve had in a very long time. You can’t teach being that charismatic. Give this girl a raise. She’s absolutely fabulous. Thank you again for being so kind. ❤

As always we had a great time at the Johnstown movie plex. We are a family of 6 so being affordable is something we most definitely need and want! The ticket prices are great and the kiddie snack bundles are a lifesaver making the experience extra special without skipping on the yummy snacks. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!

It had been a very long time since I enjoyed going to see a movie…So, I am excited to share my experience!!! I was clumsily tired one evening and I knew sleep wasn’t at all possible…it only being 6:35pm! So, I walked over to the movie theatre here in Johnstown. I was greeted wonderfully and with extreme patience (Phew!!!) I hadn’t a clue what was playing nor was I familiar with these titles (that’s on me… again, I hadn’t been in awhile) Well, The gentleman, whom I believe operates or owns the theatre was a delight. He was kind and full of smiles. He was extremely helpful in making my decision, giving me a brief synopsis of each movie… He absolutely without a doubt made my experience DELIGHTFUL! The viewing was spectacular… The seats were very comfortable and the surround sound was on point. And popcorn…. That’s right, I made it back for a refill, twice!!! I recommend anyone and everyone to make a trip to the Johnstown Movieplex, it’s worth every cent!!!The owner and staff tremendously made my experience FANTASTIC! Wow, Thank You!!!

I’ve been back 3 more times since the end of June and I am returning tonight!!!!

Due to COVID-19, we finally went to see a movie for the first time in a year. It was fun! The older gentleman who sold us the tickets was so friendly and nice! How refreshing, and a big difference from some high schooler with an I could care less attitude. After the movie, the man even asked us if we enjoyed the show.

Since there are so few movie theaters anywhere anymore, I sure hope this one gets Support.
It's nothing fancy, but definitely worth it. Kids love it, and free refills on the large popcorn and drinks.
Will come back again, also staff seems very nice.

Always a cozy theater! Friendly staff, good movie selection, never too crowded, and the bonus... the seats are actually comfy.

This movie theater is very good for its size. They do good with what they have and is pretty good quality. Comparing a small movie theater like this to a place like Colonie or Crossgates is not fair. If you are looking to enjoy a movie this is the place. No bells and whistles just a normal movie theater in a somewhat small town

The movie was clean and comfortable..I have a suggestion..why not have a SENIOR day with discount prices..I bet you would have packed theater. I went to see Halloween and I had a private showing, the only one in there. Amsterdam has SENIOR day and they are packed on that day.

The lady at the counter was very nice and I think next time I go back I’m gonna ask for her number

The staff was very friendly. I love how inexpensive it is to be able to take the kids to see a movie and get out during this time. I for sure will be back.

Had no problem seen Avatar with my daughter last time we went there we seen Harry Potter lol

Nice way to spend a hot afternoon. Seats were comfortable and the theater was clean.

Great place to watch a movie- relaxing seats, air conditioning, good snacks & games, reasonable prices and large variety of movies showing all throughout the day and night.
