I've never been to a shop this honest and helpful before, and I can't stress enough how great Nick was. Truck down a few miles away from Alberg Auto an hour into a family trip while hauling a camper and 3 golden retrievers.

Nick was awesome and got the truck on the lift right away, and went way above and beyond in accommodating me and my family (and the dogs) to get us back on the road. Cost of repair was very reasonable, and even came back much lower than the initial estimate.

I'll be going an hour out of my way to go to Alberg for any auto repairs from now on.

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They go above and beyond what you typically expect from any automotive shop. They are a few hairs more expensive than other local shops. But the prices are more than fair for the quality you get. They are very helpful and informative when answering any questions.

Definitely highly recommended to at least check them out and talk with them/get estimates for any vehicle troubles.

It was one of those brutal Minnesota snow days early in the winter where it’s like everyone is trying to remember how to drive again in the snow… including me. I went off the road shortly before the Willow River on my way to Duluth for an early morning shift at the hospital and wasn’t sure how I’d get my car repaired or get to work afterwards.

Alberg automotive was really just the closest mechanic on my map that I had any hope of precariously driving my very damaged car to. I gave them a call, and Nick was so incredibly helpful and reassuring. He told me that he knew GMCs really well and if I can get myself out to the shop, they felt confident they’d be able to help.

Upon arrival I was greater by a sweet old shop dog, a cup of hot chocolate and the comforting generosity of true Minnesota niceness. Nick threw my truck up on the rack, immediately recognized the issue. Not only that, but he also pointed out some very serious safety issues with my car I had not been aware of prior. Minutes later, Nick handed me the keys to an old Buick loaner car and had me back on the road, allowing me to make it to work. A brilliant electronic document had arrived on my phone an hour later with a full diagnostic assessment of the car’s issues; an estimate followed and by clicking a few buttons I was able to approve the repairs.

3 days later, I returned the loaner car and got back my vehicle in better condition that before I had even wrecked it. This small town repair shop was such a blessing for me in an otherwise bad day. What initially had felt like the worst possible place to have car trouble (along this very isolated stretch of freeway), it turned out to have been the BEST of places I could have crashed. It is the kind of place that left me feeling taken care of and confident I was in good hands. It’s the kind of place that exists as a rare gem these days, a place that reminds me of how grateful I am to live in this beautiful part of the nation- where good people and honest family owned businesses still exist.

This is the second time I have needed Alberg Autobody in the last year. First time needed a windshield replacement and they took care of it within 3 hours of dropping off the vehicle. It was cleaned and vacuumed when I went to pick it up. This time we had a large dent in the side of our car and a dent in the rear tailgate. It was repaired to our satisfaction at I feel a reasonable price with excellent work. Great paint match and a loaner was provided. I want to thank Doug and crew for on time service and quality workmanship. Phill

Wonderful crew here, so friendly and professional! I've been here 2x, I live in Duluth, and I've been impressed both times! And there's a darling, sweet dog in the office who will surely make you smile!

Nick was an amazing help. Suffered an unexpected hiccup on a weekend getaway and he snuck my vehicle is and got me back on the road in no time. If I lived in the area this would be my new shop to use!
