King Sparrow Coffee & Soda Shop

This place is a diamond in the rough. It's cozy little boutique meets coffee shop lounge. The staff was friendly and helpful. The sandwich we had was sweet twist on your run of the mill ham and cheese.
The coffee's we ordered were definitely more of a treat, with the amount of sweetness, but that's latte's today. So the more I go there, the more I'll fine tune my flavor.
My kids had a classic strawberry smoothie and it got great reviews from them. It was actually real fruit! They have quite a selection of healthy smoothies and protein shakes as well. This will be usual stop for me when I'm in Milaca.

A lovely, little coffe shop with unique furnishings. The coffee was good and the breakfast sandwich special was better than what you find in a fast food place. The staff was friendly and helpful. The is also a little gift shop corner. It's in a little strip mall so don't miss it when you drive by.

Lovely laid back atmosphere! The staff was very friendly. 🥰 My caramel latte and turkey cranberry sandwich were delicious! They also have a broad selection of salads, wraps, baked goods, smoothies and tea. Cant wait to go back!

First time trying a "Pistachio" latte and it was fantastic. Chicken salad sandwich was one of the best ones I've ever had. Fun little store to peruse while you wait for your coffee/sandwich. Will be back when headed back to the Mille Lacs area.

Love this place! Super cute and cozy inside, with AMAZING coffee and homemade bakery items! They're ice cream comes from a family farm in Michigan and its absolutely wonderful. Then there's the sandwiches.... WOW!!! Definitely a fun jem in the little town of Milaca!!☕🍪

Skip Dairy Queen and subway, this place is amazing!! Their sandwiches are to die for, some of the best I’ve ever had. And while you’re waiting you can browse their cute vintage gift selections. What a great local place to eat!

Skip Subway and check out their amazing sandwiches,soups,breads and wraps! Skip Holiday and check out the best coffee and local amazing tasting home made muffins with real fruit and real scones that are the best you will ever have! Definitely add this to your trip in Milaca! Will never be disappointed!!

This nice place has its priorities right. As the sign says, “Latte, Ice Cream, Food” and who needs food when you can eat ice cream (Black Cherry from a creamery in Michigan in my case) and sip a real latte for well under $15 for two. I said nice place because the space is large but like a living room dining room combo with varied seating options an NO background music if you’re on 169 South of Mille Lacs Lake put this name into your map. Right next to a DQ but use that only as a map reference.

We're exploring Minnesota & know small towns are the place to be! Found this amazing place by accident. Pulled off the highway, deciding between Subway or DQ.

Service is wonderful! Coffee always tastes great! Their muffins are out of this world, you can tell that they use real, wholesome ingredients.

I would highly recommend the chicken salad sandwich!!! Yummy, homemade wheat bread with dried cranberries that melts in your mouth!!The toppings on the fab chicken salad just add to the incredible taste sensations of the sandwich as a whole! I eat half and save the other for a great snack because the cookies and muffins are to die for! I try to stop whenever I go by the King Sparrow!! I LOVE THE COFFEE!!!!!!!

What a lovely experience. From the antique furniture to the quaint gift shop where local wares are displayed to the delicious latte and scone. If I lived here I would come daily.

Visited here in August of 2019 with a friend on a Friday afternoon, and enjoyed the ambiance. The friendly staff was very welcoming, and we browsed the dry goods area for a bit before we left. Thanks!
