Recreation Park

I used to visit this park when I was 16. 28 years ago! I've long since moved away from MN but when I go back to visit family annually we always make a trip to this park. My kids LOVE being on stage 🤣 They love walking up to the old bridge. Watching the bridge change with safety precautions is comforting lol. It was just how it should have been way back when and it's just how it should be now. The fun trails all around and the addition of the frisbee golf is so fun! I will be visiting this park for the rest of my life. I used to sit on the bridge late at night with my best friend in my teens and let our legs hang down and talk all about life. I lost my best friend in April '23 to breast cancer so I will always come back to this place to remember her ❤

We love this park! The zipline and playground are a favorite for my daughter and when the splash pad is in season that is always fun! We usually walk across the bridges and through the graveyard too. It's so peaceful. I think it's the perfect place for family reunions with the building, shelter, fire pit, new bags stations and all the amenities right there. Great job redoing the park!

This is such an awesome park! My grandkids and I go there as much as we can.

Great place with a great skatepark and basketball court. I went for a concert and the amphitheater has great sound. There's also a decent amount of parking and benches

Super nice lots of trails, husband likes to go metal detecting in the river.

This is an amazing park! An awesome disc golf course, skate park, bandshell and open areas galore along the beautiful Rum River. There is also canoe and kayak access. Across the river are 2 bridges, an old railroad crossing and a new foot bridge. And trails, trails, trails! Summertime hiking and incredible mountain bike trails. Lots of elevation changes for an exciting ride. Plus in the winter some of the trails are groomed for cross country (nordic) skiing. There is even a snowmobile trail that cuts along the edge. And every winter there is a large sledding hill and ice skating rink with warming house. After crossing the foot bridge you will enter the Forest Hill Cemetery which is also in the park. A beautiful place to walk. And " Dead man's run" ski trail goes through the Cemetery too.

Hairball was hired for a Milaca banks birthday celebration. Food trucks, adult beverages, and fantastic Rock music. Well organized, plenty of security, police and abundant biffs. What a cool party! Hairball is the best in their game.

Playground could use more equipment. Swings would be nice. Has a zipline that's always a hit with the kids! Nice park, my kids always pick this one. Walking paths and bike paths are great too.

What an awesome little park! Clean plenty of shady spots for a picnic! You cam tell its well taken care of plus Easy access to the river

Great walking trails or bike trails, great Frisbee golf course, some hole over water so bring extra! Pretty good magnet fishing spot for old bridge parts.

Great place to sit by river, walk on lots of paths, water park for kids, new firepit, skate board, Frisbee, exercise too many things to mention.

Quiet area, with walking trails along the Rum River. Park, Water Park, Band shell and seating area for parties or get togethers. Nice area for alone time or time spent together with families and friends.

Nice splash pad and clean bathrooms are nicely located. I love the additional seating area and looks like they extended the cement going around the area. I can't wait to try out the pickle ball courts 😁

Beautiful city park. We were just looking for an overnight camping spot and happened on this. Just let them know we were there and sent payment on line the next day..worked out well for us..👍

Summers are best spent here in a small town. Always has something going on that the community is invited to come down to hang.

On the bank of the rum river with an open band shell and a couple of campsites and in the summer kids water park is open.

I love the trails west &north of the park, river & cemetery. I have missed walking them this winter. Today it was warm enough & snow melted enough to get out there. It's peaceful & full of nature. The dog & I had a good time.

Fantastic Park!!! Everything was so clean and taken care of including the bathrooms and showers! Mark and his crew were fantastic and made sure we were taken care of and we appreciate everything he did! The boys thought he was the cat's meow especially with the skateboarding 😁 Us girls thought he was pretty great too! Thank you Mark and thank you Milaca for a good camping experience!

Nice place for teens, love the children's water feature and the nice restrooms. Wish there were plumbed restrooms on the ball field side too for easier access for the players and spectators. Need more playground equipment (not sure where the ones they had went this summer but it was a real bummer). Frisbee golf and walking trails plus music in the park.
