Boatwerks Waterfront Restaurant

Beautiful well appointed restaurant with great timely and helpful staff. I didn't particularly love the French Dip sandwich or the sweet potato fries (too thin and overcooked), but there were a lot of different entrees between the members of my group which I was lucky to sample and I think if you order anything besides the French Dip sandwich you'll have a wonderful meal. The Soup of the day which was a butternut squash base was amazing. They also seem to have great periodic specials that are quite affordable and great value.

I am most definitely coming back. Worth checking out!

I went there on Saturday, February 3, to celebrate my daughter’s birthday at about 5:00pm. At first, I was a little sad that they told us the wait was about 60 minutes, then 5-10 minutes passed, they suddenly seated all 7 of us. So happy about that!

My favorite appetizer to get there is the Candied Bacon Brussels Sprouts; it was so delicious! We had an awesome waitress, Aliyah (sorry if I misspelled your name). She was very kind and sweet young lady… and very patient. I also ordered their Signature Burger and it was amazingly delicious! The bacon with the sweet glazed onions was great! I would definitely order that again.

I just found out that they give you a 50% off your meal if it’s your birthday! Since my daughter ordered N.Y. Strip Steak, they gave my burger meal 50% off (can’t do 50% off steaks).

You can be seated outside. I believe there’s a fireplace and heated seats outside, but double check with them first. I would definitely go there again. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. Great place to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries.

I had the 14 ounce ribeye and it was cooked to perfection, this was my first time there but definitely won't be the last. The deep fried hard-boiled eggs with chimichurri and the Brussel sprouts were excellent as well.

Had a very nice dinner with friends this past weekend. We had the candied bacon brussel sprouts and calamari for appetizers. As for dinner tried the blackened chicken wrap, French dip, shrimp tacos and Tuscan Turkey sandwich. My friend also friend the lazy leprechaun drink and we loved it. Service was excellent and very friendly.

This was our second visit and we enjoyed an early dinner by a window. Our waitress was welcoming and attentive. We tried a delicious bratwurst soup that night too (seasonal special). We enjoyed our meals on both visits.

Though the atmosphere feels a bit dated here and there, everything else about my visit was absolutely top notch!
I was there with two others while in the area on business in early December, so the vibrant summer crowd out by the lake was nowhere to be seen. As I usually do, I asked the waiter to help guide my decisions and I am very happy I did. The pork ribeye was amazing! There's a lot going on with this dish, but the result is not quite like any other dish I have had. So tender, moist and flavorful. I would otherwise have gone straight for the Walleye, and I'm sure I would have been perfectly happy... now I will choose the pork every time!

We ate lunch out under the canopy (in the shade) and it was wonderful. Brochette appetizer was wonderful with a mix of tomatoes and strawberries truly unique but wonderful. Wife and I both went for the brisket tacos. They were delicious !

If you don’t mind direct sun eating outside is great I could definitely see it as a issue on a hot evening but that’s me. Indoor dining is a option.

We will be back, our food was wonderful.

The food, atmosphere, and service were exceptional. The setting was serene and relaxing. Menu selection was great, and portions were appropriate.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Boatwerks Restaurant in mid September. We had the BEST experience working with them. They were very easy to work with, accommodating, and responsive. The staff is AWESOME to work with and very friendly. The wedding turned out so amazing and I highly recommend anyone considering to have their wedding there to do it! You will not regret it. On top of the staff and everyone being very easy to work with, the venue is so beautiful. We knew we wanted a venue that was outdoor but wanted indoor capabilities just incase of weather. Luckily we had awesome weather and it worked out perfect to have their slide in doors open all night so we had a great summer breeze. IT was the best night of our lives and Boatwerks staff and venue played a HUGE part in that.

We enjoyed our first visit to the pretty well known restaurant on Lake Macatawa in Holland. Nice views, ambiance and food. Adequate service and wine selection. Loved the Cobb-salad-like grains and berries bowl salad topped with salmon.

We had our wedding at Boatwerks last month and it was amazing! The atmosphere, food, drinks, staff, and setup were incredible! Boatwerks accommodated dietary restrictions by plating those meals and bringing them to the assigned tables eventhough we had a buffet. We were surprised by how friendly and professional the staff were and were blown away by the food! Boatwerks also allowed us to do a his and hers drink which we loved. The ceremony had a beautiful view and the reception flowed perfectly to the patio. We would definitely recommend Boatwerks!

I had a great experience with Boatwerks. My server is pretty nice, the food came out at a good time. And they have a pretty good menu with it being small but yet theirs something for everyone. Really recommend to anyone going there.

So we love stopping here every time we’re in town. Boatworks has amazing staff, amazing food, great drinks, very accessible by boat. Great salads, salmon, the burgers are awesome. The appetizers like the ceviche is very good.

What can I say? All the stars aligned to be a five-star experience at this restaurant. I had the surf and turf, which hit the spot, had a corner table in the bar overloooking the water, the beer was flowing liberally, friendly staff, would highly recommend.

Holland’s only restaurant on the water (as far as I know). By reading reviews online I was able to share that the shrimp tacos got top billing. Yes, delicious. The farmhouse pizza and crab Louie salad were delicious. Fresh crab elevated the taste. I think you could skip the crab cake appetizer. It didn’t taste like crab to me. Relaxing vibe in the restaurant - but the star of the experience was our waiter, Steve. He knew the menu like the back of his hand and gave us great suggestions. Friendly and personable, it was as if we were his personal guests. He came around just enough and made sure the servers always topped off our water glasses without our asking. This guy is a gem -thank you!

One of the nicest restaurants in Holland! We came by boat from Freedom Boat Club. Drinks & food were delicious. Lovely atmosphere with sweeping views of Lake Macatawa. Great spot for special occasions.

We had our wedding at Boatwerks in early September, and it was just the perfect place. The indoor/outdoor vibe is so refreshing and makes for amazing photos. Instead of being stuck inside an old banquet hall, you get a beautiful view of the lake and a chance to easily get some fresh air. The staff are so kind and accommodating. The food is amazing and service is fast/on time! Our guests couldn't stop talking about how perfect and beautiful the venue was.

Everything was almost perfect but if i need to highlight one and only one distinctive thing, I would pick its food - even the simple things as corn chip or French fries were amazing, the shrimp was extremely fresh, same to the perch and beverages. Of course, with an A-plus service too. It does accept reservation but instead of waiting for 45 minutes, we ate at the bar area, which we were able to find seats right away without the wait. The only drawback was a bit difficult to find a parking spot in its huge parking lot, just because the restaurant is so popular.

Great food, awesome views and friendly staff. Long wait for outdoors but worth it. Dinner took a bit to come out along with mixed drinks but worth the wait.

The shrimp tacos were wonderful! Once we received service she was great! My drink was not good tasted watered down but they said it was a new bartender. It was the one with pineapple juice and orange juice and passion fruit.
