Cakabakery on 8th

While in town visiting family at Thanksgiving, we visited the Kerstmarkt at the Civic Center. It was pretty cold, and before walking up 8th Street, we wanted to warm up and grab a quick bite. That's when we stumbled on this place.

It is just east of the market, so it's a prime location to pick up a breakfast pastry or drink before shopping downtown. It had just opened, so we were the only customers. The place is pristine and bright and huge with several tables on one side.

My mom and I shared a pecan sticky bun thing, and it was warm and delicious. Don't be fooled by the plate in the photo - it's actually a sturdy, reusable plate made to look like a paper plate. They also provide forks and cups for water.

There were so many items to choose from, I'll have to go back and try some more.

Kelsey was great! She was very helpful and friendly! The Oatmeal Cream pie cookie was our familys favorite!

Rose @ Cakabakery helped me with our wedding cake & cupcakes on short notice, the staff is so friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with! The product was PERFECT and so delicious, it was a big hit with our guests! We will certainly be returning customers!

Their cupcakes are the best! Also snagged some Fruitbelt to sip on for the road and loved the Apple Dandelion flavor

A nostalgic delight! Delicious ice almond cookies. I appreciate they know I'm driving a long distance to purchase, so they save some for me when I call in advance. Good vegan desserts and chocolate-inspired cookies. This Holland location has better options and better customer service than the GR location.

Get in early, they tend to sell out fast from people stopping by after the farmers market.
Lady running the shop was delightful. The cupcakes we had were amazing. Super glad we stopped in and we'll for sure be stopping by next time we're in town.

Cakabakery made us the cutest cake for my sister’s baby shower! Not only was it beautiful and delicious, the team was over the top helpful with the process! Highly recommend them for all of your events!! Can’t wait for another reason to work with them again!

"Do you guys want a cookie?" The kind young lady yelled as we were walking away. We missed them by a mere 3 minutes, but her question stopped us in our tracks! They actually opened up for us, sold us an amazing cookie dough cake that they thought was going to go to waste. Then, she made good on her offer of cookies! OMG! From the first amazing morsel to the last crumb I was slobbering all over myself. I'm glad I was alone (LOL). Give this gem a try. Their fresh take in flavors, designs, and service will delight and amaze you!

They just locked the door as we tried to go in but the girl let us in even though they were technically closed. We were glad she did! I got a couple cupcakes and my husband got a cookies and a cupcake. My husbands comment was "Its like my mom started a bakery." We will be back for sure. Delicious!

GET YOURSELF A CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIE. you deserve it. You will not regret it. They are the best cookies I’ve ever ever had. I drive 30 mins to get cookies here because of pregnancy cravings 😬😂 everyone is always so welcoming and as sweet as their cookies 😜

Cookies are so delicious! Less options from the Grand Rapids main location but sooo good! The chocolate merlot cookies were incredible!! So happy to have a location in Holland!

This place is incredible! The strawberry rhubarb pie is TO DIE FOR. Everything is amazing to be honest you can’t go wrong with anything!
