Long overdue review. Great work fixing up my old components as a gift to my son. Very reasonable price.

Brought my 1970's Sansui 890 to Sounds Classic. Mark and Nick did a wonderful job restoring it to its former condition. I couldn't be happier with my receiver and the fine work they did for me. They are not cheap but they are worth every cent for quality work.

Brought in my Panasonic PD-M403 6 disc changer because the display panel was very dim They Identified the problem and fixed it. What was nice is that they had a few similar units they use for parts and they were able to replace the display panel and change a capacitor. Looks like new. They even re-aligned the disc laser and lubed essential parts. Well done guys. The only part I didn't like is not having lots of money to buy vintage stereo equipment, e.g Sansui, Kenwood, Marantz receivers, vintage speakers and turntables. I prefer the good stuff that was made in Japan during the 70's. Better sound and quality, I guess that makes me an audiophile. If you need to have some quality work done on your vintage stereo equipment, or in the market to buy some, this is the place to go.

They did a great job and they were honest about what my amplifier needed.

What a wonderful store. Mark let me know that unfortunately my stereo wasn't cost effective to repair because it could be replaced so inexpensively. When I told him what I really wanted he had a stereo (Marantz 7.2 4k) in stock that was way beyond what I thought I would have been able to afford and indeed wouldn't have been able to on eBay. When I had trouble setting it up he offered for me to bring it in so he could help me set it up.

Great all around and they haven't seen the last of me.

I have a system I purchased in Germany in 1984. I purchased a Yamaha C-70 preamp, B&K Amp. Had problems with the Preamp and took it into Sound Classics. Picked it up from these wonderful people and went home to connect. After several years I wasn't sure how to achieve this task. I called the Sound Classic people, and they were happy to help me step by step connect my ADC Equalizer to this system. If you cherish the clear sound these systems produce, you will understand when I say a tear came to my eye! This system sound better than it ever had in my lifetime. These people are magical! Highly recommended with any piece close to your heart. Great experience!

I took my 1953 RCA Victor EY-3 for some much needed attention to these folks and they didn’t disappoint! The first service call was last summer and it took some time to gather parts and do the work but it was worth the wait. Knowledgeable people who put 100% into what they do. Service like you get at Sounds Classics is rare in these days. Pay them a visit and check out their stock of vintage sound ware, too!

Sounds Classic did a total refurbishment on a Pioneer SX 1080 for me. The unit had died and would not play. They brought this old unit back to life and it sounds fantastic! The final price was what they had quoted me. They are a bit backed up because of labor shortages and it took several weeks for the work to be completed, but it was worth the wait, so just be patient. They also only see people by appointment, so be sure to call them before showing up.

Top-notch and down-to-earth folks; Mark knows his stuff and will help you find what you need. They have good equipment at good prices. I have also had work done on a vintage Marantz receiver and they did an awesome job and it sounds amazing. I couldn't be happier.

Restored my 35 yr old Pioneer SX-780, which I regularly enjoy listening to. They warranty their work. We had some initial issues keeping it running but they continued to troubleshoot until the problem was solved and it has been working great ever since. They also have a stock of vintage audio equipment all fully restored. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I was looking to put together a vintage McIntosh system (I lusted after these items in my younger days but the kids had to eat, etc!). I came in to purchase an amplifier but soon discovered they also had the ideal preamp and tuner as well. Thanks to Mark and his staff for all the prep work on this gear. Our system sounds fantastic! He not only went above and beyond helping a novice, answering my questions but also helped with keeping it in my price range and didnt take advantage of me. Very thankful for him and his staff there. Outstanding customer service and work. I have made numerous purchases and trades here. I've received excellent value for every trade. Repairs can take a while, because many many people bring equipment in for repair. Besides the fact, there aren't many people doing this type work so folks come from far and wide.

Sounds Classic specializes in repairing vintage stereo gear & other electronics. In addition, they sell a fantastic & changing collection of outstanding refurbished gear. I purchased a refurbished Sony PS-X6 turntable and couldn't be happier. I have a Pioneer PL-518 turntable I plan on having Sounds Classic service soon.

I love the mix of the classic sounds and modern equipment. I took my Cerwin Vega speakers to Mark for an upgrade and realized he and I did a bit of hanging out years ago rockin' at the clubs. I'm expecting great results. I may have more equipment for him to refurbish, too!

Very happy with my full restoration on my Marantz receiver!! Absolutely love this place, very good small business! Everything they sell and restore has the 90 day warranty but I have yet to have any problems!!! Love love love this place!

Did let me know what was up with my amp. Took awhile because of shortage of help. But did let me know what was up. I bought replacement sub amp and I am very happy with it.

Sounds Classic fully restored my Sansui 9090DB receiver from the late seventies. They went thorough it with meticulous detail and saved all the original parts they replaced. I could not believe all the capacitors, resistors and other parts they replaced. I have been enjoying my receiver for dedicated stereo music listening with newly found crisp, clear detail. Thank you Sounds Classic for bringing my vintage flagship Sansui stereo receiver back to life. I will use Sounds Classic for all my future repairs and vintage audio equipment purchases.
