City Nails

I believe I got one of the owners, I wish I got his name. He did an AMAZING job on my nails, I showed him a simple design with the heart tip nails, and he said "I'll do better than that". It was so awesome the confidence he radiated, the knowledge, and it all shows in his work. He added my ring finger nail design ( unicorn nail with glow in the dark powder and holographic on top), the glitter in the inner of the heart. He is SO creative ( as pretty much my whole set besides the heart tip was his idea) , and I've received dozens of compliments already and it's been not even a week! The price was incredible at $20/ a fill for acrylic, with the heart design it went to $30, and with 8 gel colors it ended up being $38 + $2 for debit ( AMAZING!) He did my ring nails complimentary, so I tipped him $20 extra and it was worth every. penny. I would recommend this place to anyone and I plan to go back every time for my nails from now on. I couldn't be happier with my nails!! Literally made me cry after I left, this is the best set. This isn't sponsored or anything like that, I'm genuinely a very satisfied customer! 👍🏻 thanks again!

Very nice the woman with brown hair did mines and she did great and the man who sits next by the cashier did my sister and he did Awesome! We was very pleased!!

Very nice staff. Had a variety of styles an was honest about the care of my nail. Definitely my go to place from now on!!!

They always do an amazing job. You can expect to wait a pretty long time though but for the price and the quality it’s worth it. also they won’t lie about wait time. if it’s a 2 hour wait they will tell you. nails are usually not much more than $25 - $30 as long as you aren’t doing something crazy. Also i saw a review said they were turned down an hour before closing and it’s because they usually are there a few hours after closing time still doing nails of waiting customers. so yes they lock the door when they have too many people waiting. i love them and will go back every time for my nails. they are never rude to me and always take their time.

i loved the atmosphere of the place. it was my first time getting a full set so i was kind of nervous. but it went well. though, the guy that did my nails, i didn’t not catch his name, didn’t get my full pinky nail on my left hand and didn’t get another nail on my right hand. i won’t stress it. he did a great job and was very friendly. i would have given a better tip rather then $2, but i didn’t have that much cash on me. but if i did i would’ve given him at least a $10 tip.

I think they’ve done my nails twice? The same guy does my nails and I love them! I will be going back within the next few days.🙂 I’ve gotten my nails done at other places, but they’re not as good. I can promise you, you’ll be happy with your nails.

It was clean, they were really nice and respectful my polish on my nails lasted for 4 weeks now but it’s just one problem! My real nails are coming off with the nails he didn’t do them right nor shaped them right all of them are different sizes and half way up to the tip of my finger nails .

I was in the area for work and I happened to break a nail off and needed to get it fixed. I got to this nail salon around 6:40pm not knowing what time they closed and the door was locked so I simply turned around to get back in the car to leave, when a man opened the door and asked what I needed today? I told him just one nail repaired he said no problem come in. I did just that and don’t regret it for a second the Lady was extremely nice she even offered to do a complete fill on all my nails because I was due for that anyways but I said no because I knew they were closing and didn’t want to keep them she reassured me it wouldn’t be a problem and she didn’t mind. I still passed and just had her do the 1 nail. I’m only in this town until Friday evening for work and I will be going back for a fill before heading home!! Great work and very professional and friendly people!

Went per a recommendation after another place messed up my nails horribly! Not only did I come out of here loving my nails, but he was able to fix them without taking them off and doing them over again! He was also knowledgeable in letting me know that taking them off would be bad for my thing natural nails so he would try to prevent that. He took his time and did an amazing job! Very personable people as well! Great service! My new nail place!

I have been going to City Nails for just shy of 15 years. They are funny, outgoing, professional and they do great nails. They did my wedding party nails the day before rehearsal and of course my daughters and my weekly nail obsession :)
They treat you like family. I still am waiting on pops to give me a graphting of his tree growing inside the salon HA!

I love them. Im a regular customer for about a year and a half & I do not dare go any place else. Theyre funny and outgoing and have always made my nails look great :) I recommend the wife & husband :)

Best place by far in Rockford to get nails done at. Great people great prices and they do everything you want(I’ve ever wanted). My cousins and I love going here and they’re always so nice to us. Keep up the great work!

My sister and I decided to take my mom out for her 1st pedicure on sat the day before mothers day. My sister usually goes here to get her nails done regularly so we knew this was the place to go. Upon arrival they instantly starting their pedicures which was awsome because they were pretty busy. Later they asked what I needed and I told them I want my real nails painted with the mood color changing gel polish. They proceeded to tell me I may need to get fake nails because my nails maybe to short. That I found weird, but I told them I refuse to put fake nails on. Later the girl that does the gel looked at my natural nails and said they were fine to paint but they may not last very long because of the length. That's pretty normal for regular nail polish, which is why I wanted to try gel. Well its been almost a week since I got them done and I'm happy to announce they are just as perfect as they were when I left the salon. Mind you I do work in fast food so I'm constantly washing dishes, pealing stickers off, and scrubbing things. I will never ever use regular polish on my finger nails ever again! I'm completely sold on gel. I highly recommend gel, especially their lechant mood change polish. Trust me it does last up to one week or longer. I plan on leaving it on until it's half off lol but seriously. I really like the girl who does gel by the way. She was very informative on gel polish. I was asking her a lot of questions all she had no problems answering, and I could understand her, which was a plus. Nice job guys!!!
